About: I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have experience caring for cats and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I currently have a 2-year-old Golden Retriever and a 10-year-old Maltipoo, so I’m very comfortable with both energetic young dogs and older pets. I’m dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets like they’re part of my own family! I’m a college student with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to give your pets the attention and care they deserve! I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week, with additional availability on weekends. I’ll always work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s routine and needs. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care. When I’m caring for your pets, I’ll keep them safe and comfortable in their own home while following their normal routines. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and anything else they need. I’ll treat your home with respect and your pets like they’re part of my own family!

About: I’ve had animals around me basically my whole life. Right now I have 2 dogs, Kiki and Chloe, but growing up there were always pets in my home. I’ve also helped take care of pets for family friends, so being around animals has always been a normal part of my life. I love dogs of all ages, especially puppies and senior dogs. I know every pet is different and has their own personality, so I always try to make them feel comfortable and loved. What makes me different is that I genuinely love doing this. For me it’s not just about making money. Of course getting paid is nice, but I really enjoy spending time with animals and taking care of them. I treat every pet like they’re my own and give them all the attention, patience, and love they deserve. Right now I’m on summer break and have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available most days and at different times throughout the day. I’ll be starting college in August, but my schedule will still be pretty flexible. I’m available for walks, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, and just keeping your pet company. I can also do multiple walks a day if needed and I’ll always do my best to follow their normal routine. I live in a house with a fenced yard and have 2 friendly dogs of my own. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I’ll follow any instructions you give me and make sure your pet gets lots of attention, care, and love. If I ever notice that something seems wrong or that a pet isn’t feeling well, I’ll contact you right away and make sure they get the care they need. I know how important pets are because I feel the same way about mine, and I’ll treat yours like part of the family too

About: I have taken care of cats and dog since I was child. I have never lived without an animal in my home. I currently have an old lazy cat named Diesel and a sweet 4 year old pit-mix named Maple. I have petsit for family members for when they go out of town. I have also fostered dogs in the past. I have taken care of 80 pound dogs that have seizers to tiny 8 pound chiweenies that like to run and play. I am a teacher and will be more available in the summer to care for your fur children. I am teacher so my scheudule frees up more on holidays and the summer. I am pretty open during the week but typically I do work from 7:00-4:30 during the school year. I will care for you pet as if it was my own. I know dogs miss their mom and dads when they leave for business or vacation; I will give your fur baby that extra special love and attention they need why you are away.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds for several years. Friends and family regularly rely on me to feed, walk, play with, and look after their pets. I am highly responsible, energetic, and dedicated to making sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you are away. Whether they need a long walk or some cozy couch cuddles, I’ve got it covered! I am currently a student with classes only on Mondays and Wednesdays. Aside from my Sunday night assignment deadlines, my schedule is incredibly open and flexible. This gives me plenty of dedicated time throughout the week and weekends to fully focus on, walk, and play with your beloved pups! I specialize in caring for pets directly in the comfort of your own home, where they feel most safe and secure. While I do have a fully fenced backyard and can crate dogs if absolutely necessary, I prefer traveling to your house to maintain your dog's regular routine, environment, and peace of mind.

She was completely transparent that she had other dogs there, and allowed us to take the time for all the dogs to get to know each other and make sure we were all happy and comfortable before we left. She kept me up to date with pictures and I know for a fact my dogs were treated just like her own family pets! We will definitely be calling her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Anahuac home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Anahuac.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Anahuac sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
