Meghan was great and very attentive to our dogs. She followed up with details after every walk and even brought some of our packages inside for us. Excited to book her again in the future.

Tessa takes great care of my rescue dog, Glen, who can be a handful at times. When I come home he is way more relaxed than stressed, and this is a credit to Tessa. I am fortunate and grateful that she is able to take care of him.

I just want to commend Savana for coming today to walk my puppies on February 6, 2025, even though there was ice and snow throughout the day. I assured Savana the night before not to worry about coming because of the bad weather but because of her care and professionalism, she made it to my home. I cannot say enough, how happy I am with having Savana As my Dog Walker. She is wonderful!!!!

About: I have life long experience taking care of dogs, between my own personal dogs, to my siblings dogs as well as close friends and family. I have this connection with animals that I can't describe which makes me the favorite uncle amongst my furry nieces and nephews. I have experience training my own dogs and my siblings dogs as well in the past. I also have experience with elderly dogs. I have a full and open schedule during the week and I am flexible with time. The weekends can be discussed further upon request of service. We are currently set up for only walks and visits. so care for pets will be at client residence to ensure they fell safe in their environment

About: I take pride in my work and strive to treat each and every animal I care for as I would my own personal pets. I personally understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your furry family members and do my best to make the experience as amazing as possible for both pets and pet parents. I have worked in the pet care industry for over ten years now. I began dog walking in NYC, then managed a luxury boarding/daycare facility for dogs in East Syracuse. Since then I have also branched out into working in animal rescue as well. I also am currently pursuing a certification in dog training. I currently work for myself so my hours are flexible. I can accommodate dog walking most mornings, afternoons and nights. I currently offer in home boarding but limit it to three dogs per night to ensure the best quality of care. I understand that allowing someone into your home to care for your pet can be nerve racking, so I strive to be as mindful of this as possible. Some of the ways I ensure I do this are by speaking with the client before hand to go over anything specific they need done, entering the home in a safe and respectful manner, greeting the pet I'm caring for with enthusiasm, creating a bond with them & making the experience as fun and stress free as possible.

Maddy was excellent! I booked her as a walker when I was in a pickle last minute, she is very kind and quick to respond. She also makes the extra effort to make sure your fur baby is taken care of, the way I, as an owner would want. Definitely would recommend!

About: I’ve been certified as a Vet Assistant, I am also currently in school for my license as a Vet Technician. I’m very confident that I will be a safe environment for your furry friends! I’m currently a student so weekends will be more manageable for me, In case of any emergencies of course I can make accommodations during weekdays. I’ve had more than 11 animals my whole life growing up (5 dogs) (4 cats) (2 two fish) I would say I’m extremely experienced in caring for animals. Professionally my experience would be under a year as I am still in school, I live on 67 acres and a large yard which will give your dog enough room to run with the wind and enjoy the fresh air.

Julia was terrific! She showed up for a last minute request. She was friendly, prompt and flexible. My dog was very comfortable with her at the outset. I was so impressed that since she needed to address something at home she offered to take my dog with her rather than give me less than the full hour walk.

About: Animals have always had my heart. I provide one on one care because I understand that being away from home can be stressful for some dogs. My goal is to make every boarding experience feel safe, loving, and as seamless as possible. With many years of experience caring for dogs, I tailor my care to each pet's individual needs and routine. I work from home and create my own schedule, giving me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and personalized care throughout the day. I live in a townhouse in a quiet, friendly gated community with plenty of safe sidewalks and green space for enjoyable walks. I love taking pups on walks and spending time outdoors whenever their owners approve. If your dog uses wee wee pads, I'm happy to accommodate that as well. And if they're used to sleeping in bed with you, they're welcome to cuddle up with me too! I only care for one family's dog(s) at a time, allowing me to give your pet my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment. Every dog is treated like family: with patience, kindness, and lots of love. I'd love to meet you and your pup! Let's schedule a meet and greet to make sure it's the perfect fit and ensure your dog's stay is comfortable, happy, and stress-free. 💗 I make my own schedule and work from home. I have the time to care for your pet one on one and give them the attention they deserve. I love taking the animals for walks and getting them out in nature if permitted. I have a nice yard for them to sunbathe and get fresh air. If you require wee wee pads, I can accommodate that as well. Your Dog is welcome to sleep In the bed with me, if parents allow that. I treat all of my dogs like they’re my own and like they are family. 💓 Let's schedule a meet and greet and get your boarding process seamlessly started!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shannon and Justin have been absolutely wonderful with our puppy, Aria! They are reliable, communicative, and clearly care so much about the dogs they look after. We always feel at ease knowing Aria is in such good hands. She gets plenty of attention, playtime, and care during their visits, and they give us great updates each time. It’s such a relief to know we can trust them when we’re at work or away. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable and loving pet sitters!

About: Hi! I’m Ryan, and I’m dedicated to giving your dog the best part of their day. Whether your pup needs a high-energy power walk to burn off excess steam or a steady, relaxed stroll around the neighborhood, I tailor every walk to fit your dog's age, energy level, and daily routine. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I pride myself on reliability, clear communication, and keeping your dog’s safety as my top priority. Every service comes with detailed updates, GPS route tracking, and plenty of photos so you know exactly how their walk went! I currently work full-time as a bartender and sales distributor for a brewery. I typically work thursday-sunday. With my days off, I spend most of my time being active whether that's working out, walking or hiking. Adding in some dogs to walk would fit in perfectly to my lifestyle and would be something i always look forward to! I have a fenced in yard in which the dogs can run freely. With a potential client's home, a fenced in yard or invisible fence would be ideal to assure the safety of the dogs.

Natisha is a very rare find. If you’re wondering whether to book her or not do yourself and your fur babies a favor and just do it. We are two medical professionals and our schedules suddenly overlapped in a way that our bully girl needed someone to take care of her twice a week in the middle of the day. Natisha to the rescue! So responsive, so responsible, so punctual, so loving and caring to our girl! Now we’ve permanently retained her twice a week. Five stars isn’t enough stars for Natisha’s service.

About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was a teen. I would volunteer to care for pets all the time. I have taken care of all kinds of pets such as dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, salamander bearded dragon and chickens. Tell me what their needs are and I will make sure fur baby is well taken care of. It’s my responsibility to make sure that each fur baby is happy and safe. I know how important dogs are to our lives, so it's my duty to make sure that your fur baby gets to experience the same kind of love and care that they're used to at home. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It's a great way to make sure that we're all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. It gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your fur baby and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it's always great to chat with owners to learn more about your fur baby. I am available to care for your fur baby all day as my main focus is caring for fur babies! I work from my home part-time so I’m always available to provide love and attention to your fur baby. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room to play and 1 dog to keep your fur baby company. If needed, I have the ability to crate your fur baby.

As of August 2026, there are 2,363 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Amity. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Amity. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Amity.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Amity. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
