“I highly recommend Amy. I was extremely pleased with the communication and response time when I messaged her. She kept me updated on Stella and Poppy and how they were doing all week. It really put my mind at ease and I was confident the kitties were in good hands. Loved the pictures, too! Amy, thank you so much for caring for my girls like you would care for your own fur babies. I would definitely book with you again and I’ll recommend you to friends. ❤️”

About: I walk an Jog everyday. I love dogs a puppies and cats! I also have 3 pet rabbits so if you have a rabbit I can take care of it as well. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats. 2 of my dogs are pure breed German shepherds and 1 is a Golden Shepherd so I’m not scared of big dogs!! I can do any drop in visit for cats or dogs or walks I’m a stay at home mom. My time is pretty free daily. I’m available for any drop in visit or daily walks. I also did Certified nursing my junior year of high school at a vocational school. I will follow all care instructions for the clients house and everything they tell me for the care of the pets they have so they know it’s right.
“Gracie was amazing with our cats and went above and beyond! She even managed to coax our very shy cat into combing, something we struggle with! I felt very reassured by her regular updates and photos. We couldn’t ask for a better experience! We highly recommend her services to other pet owners!”

About: I've had dogs since I can remember. My fiancé watched dogs in the past with rover and I would always help. Take the dogs to the park on my days off, play outside, and train them when needed. I am currently on veterans disability so I can focus my whole day to your furry friend. No worry about being stuck in all day. I have 5 acres of yard for them to play on. I have lots of space if needed, room for crates, room outside. Plenty of space so your furry friend won't feel trapped. My animals mind their own.
“Taylynn is absolutely wonderful! Loving, punctual, and very attentive to details. You can tell she truly cares and is focused on making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy. 🐾❤️”

“We were in a pinch to find a dog sitter after my mom injured her foot before we were scheduled to travel. So thankful we found Carleen!! She was fantastic with our three pups, even in the face of some unexpected digestive issues. Carleen was responsive, provided regular status updates (and photos), and followed our somewhat intricate potty and feeding routine perfectly (with three dogs, if can be a bit much!). It was such a relief to know we were leaving our babies in the hands of someone who clearly loves animals as much as we do. We cannot recommend her enough!!”

“This was our first Rover experience and Virginia was a perfectly wonderful pet sitter for our cat, Fergus. She came by to meet him ahead of time, sent lots of photos and videos while we were away and, above all, made us feel very comfortable leaving him in her pet-loving hands. We would recommend Virginia highly and hope to find the opportunity to have her help again soon!”

“Victoria was available for our last minute booking! She did exactly what was in the care plan, communicated well and was super friendly! We will definitely book with her again!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Riley was helpful in explaining how it worked. She watched our cat for several visits for two days. For each visit she sent information on how the visit went. Unfortunately our kitty would run and hide after greeting her so she couldn’t get many pictures. She even went and found him and sat trying to convince him to come out! He ate well during her visits and she was kind to clean up the dirty cat bowls each time! It’s also very comforting knowing Riley has experience working in a vet clinic.”

“We had a walkaround the house with Rochelle. Rochelle was attentive and took lots of pictures. You can tell that she takes the care of our pups and the house very seriously. After learning the house, Rochelle observed the correct food portions and fed the pups. She is so loving to the pups.”

“Lauren is great! We had a mixup on the first morning time but she honestly apologized. She came each time requested other than that morning and was awesome with my 3 dogs. My dogs are not the easiest to take care of (I have a 17 year old blind one who wears diapers) but Lauren was a champ and cleaned up messes. I will use her again for my next trip.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, including my own pets and my professional experience as a kennel attendant at a pet daycare. I’m experienced with walks, feeding routines, baths, medication, and providing care for pets with different needs and temperaments. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. My goal is to give your pet the same attention, patience, and love I would give my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I plan my days around making sure each pet gets proper care, playtime, walks, and check-ins without feeling rushed. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and following their normal routine so they feel relaxed while their owner is away. I pay attention to their behavior, needs, and any instructions provided to make sure they receive the best care possible.

About: Hi! My husband and I own a farm in Amelia, VA with horses, sheep, chickens, and our cats and dogs. I have two rescue dogs of my own and am a complete animal lover. I work in the agriculture sector with a flexible schedule and my husband works from home full time. My schedule allows me to be home with your pets as often as they need. I have been house sitting for over 15 years and absolutely love being able to love other people’s pets like my own! My house also has a fenced in yard, and is great if your pets want to come stay with me as well. I have experience with dogs, cats, most exotic pets, horses, and any barnyard animal you could think of. We are also very experienced in senior care, and often foster for our local shelter so are used to a lot of different behaviors and dog personalities. I am available for pet sitting and farm sitting. I am looking forward to hearing from you! I have a flexible work schedule and my office is less than a mile from my home, so I can stop in often. My husband is also very experienced in animal care and works from home full time. Our dogs spend most of their day snoozing with my husband while he works. They go on 3-4 walks per day and have a fenced yard to run around. Guest dogs are treated like our own! Drop in clients can expect their dogs to be loved on and cared for as desired for 30-60 minutes per drop in.

About: Hi! I have been a vet assistant, caring for ALL animals professionally for 6 years! I am a student and mom trying to make some extra money! I have a full time job but usually available at any time and any day! I’m willing to work around schedules! I am able to get there as early as 6am or as late as 11pm for anything that is needed. I am willing to follow the way you want me to take care of your pet. Usually, I walk the dogs with leashes and clean up their waste right away. “Peyton was Great!! She made time to stop by in advance tomake sure me and Bentley were comfortable with her. It nice to walk her through the steps needed. She was very accommodating and super sweet. Very good communication and no issues. Bentley loved her and we'll definitely use Peyton again in the future.”

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats for over 7 years, starting with my own dog who’s been with me since I adopted him when he was 1 yr old. While I haven’t done formal training or grooming, I’ve handled daily care routines like walking, feeding, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I care for every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s companionship or daily care, I bring patience, affection, and a calm presence to every visit. I work full time but work Monday and Thursday’s from home so I can hang out with them all day! I can check in on your pet those days along with weekends! Would love to take them on a walk. I do my best to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow your instructions closely whether it’s feeding times, walks, playtime, or medication needs. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands while you’re away.

About: I love all animals! I believe animals can sense energy, and animals always respond well to my presence because I am patient. I grew up on a farm so horses, dogs, cats, birds. My pets live like kings 😂 I work remotely so my schedule is flexible. Over night stays are fine. I work remotely and have hot spot so my schedule is flexible. I am available 7AM-3PM (depending on area). Fridays/Saturdays available all day. I would prefer pet sitting at the pet’s home to ensure they feel comfortable, low stress. Evenings I can stay extended amounts of times as long as y’all don’t mind me working remotely on my hot spot at the home. Outside/feeding schedules will be no problem because my work is flexible.

As of August 2026, there are 592 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Amelia Court House. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Amelia Court House. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
