About: My animal-loving 17 year old daughter would love to play with your pet and take care of him/her. I will be helping her in every way. I've had dogs since I was a kid, so I know how to care for them. Currently we have two cats and a Chihuahua named Buddy. I work from home so your pet will not be alone for long periods of time and will have frequent bathroom breaks. I work flexible hours from home so I am always available and can take breaks to play with or walk your pet. My kids are eager to help. I have a backyard and live in a neighborhood with lots of places to walk with your dog. My own dog is not aggressive towards any pets.
“Gus was so excited when he saw Chassy! We were back for our second stay because Chassy took such great care of Gus! She sent video and pictures…I really appreciate the updates! Chassy is awesome! I highly recommend Chassy!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have cared for several dogs over the years. I currently have two small dogs of my own, a Yorkshire Terrier and a Maltese, and they are both very friendly and comfortable around other dogs. My Yorkie is 8 years old, so I have plenty of hands-on experience with daily care, feeding, walking, playtime, and giving dogs the attention they need. I spend a lot of time at home, which allows me to keep a close eye on the dogs in my care and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I truly enjoy having dogs around and will treat your dog like part of the family while they stay with us 🐶 I will be home with the dogs throughout the day, so they get plenty of attention and regular potty breaks. We already have our own dogs, so caring for dogs is a natural part of our daily routine. I’m available for both daytime daycare and overnight boarding. Our home is in a quiet area with plenty of space between neighbors, which makes it a peaceful place for dogs to relax and feel at home. We keep our home clean, quiet, and comfortable for our dogs and visiting pups. The house is regularly cleaned and disinfected, and we do an extra cleaning before every new stay. Potty pads are changed frequently, and we use air purifiers indoors to help keep the space fresh and odor-free. Our own dogs also receive regular flea and tick prevention. Most importantly, someone is home throughout the day to keep an eye on the dogs and make sure they are safe and comfortable.
“Melissa and Cody were great, even though Pippin gave them a literal run for the money by jumping the fence! She was retrieved safely and had a great time after that. Their love for and understanding of rescue dogs is a huge plus and gave us confidence that Pippin would be well cared for.”

“No words to say how wonderful and easygoing Megan and Vitaliy were. Edison felt right at home immediately and I had no worries. They gave him plenty of space to play and explore. I don’t think Edison cared if I would have ever come back to get him. Can’t recommend them enough ❤️❤️”

About: I am a huge animal lover. Grown up with dogs my whole life! I ride horses and am surrounded by all types of animals. Have done a ton of dog/house/farm sitting in my life. I work from home so will give them tons of love and attention! I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule, where I can give them lots of love, take them out VERY frequently for walks etc. I am currently in a 2b2b apartment, with plenty of room for a dog to stay. I live just steps from parks and can walk them around the neighborhood extremely easily. Our apartment is extremely dog friendly with treats waiting at the front door of the lobby!

“Casie and her family were amazing!! Since this was my first time leaving my dog boomer with a sitter I was a little bit nervous but she immediately calmed my nerves the second I dropped him off by showing me around and asking so many questions to give him the best experience. Casie sent many updates throughout the day (pictures and videos) so that I could see that boomer was having a fun time. DEFINITELY would recommend and I will be booking again!!”

“It was my first time using Rover and a pet sitter having recently adopted my dog. It was a great experience. Jay was great to work with and I felt very comfortable leaving my pet with Jay.”

“Dakota's favorite day of the month is when she gets to go hang out at Spencer's house. His dogs have officially started being referred to as "the cousins ", and she loves spending time with them. I get peace of mind that she has loved and cared for no different than if she was laying at home with me”

“Mary took such good care of Tails the two days she needed daycare. She communicated really well, was accommodating and made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her for the first time. Her space is nice and she already had a water bowl ready when we arrived. Tails was very excited to see her the second day when we arrived! Will absolutely book with her again.”

About: As a lifelong pet parent to my own two dogs and cat, I understand that pets are family. My experience ranges from providing a "home away from home" in my own space to offering reliable, attentive care within yours. I pride myself on being a trustworthy and caring sitter who pays close attention to every detail of your pet’s routine. Whether it’s a long walk, a snuggle, or managing specific needs, I treat every animal with the same devotion and patience I give my own. As a nurse, my life is built around providing compassionate, high-quality care, and I bring that same dedicated mindset to pet-sitting. My part-time nursing schedule allows me the flexibility to spend large blocks of time at home, ensuring your pet is never lonely and receives consistent, attentive supervision. Because I have school-aged children, our home is a lively and loving environment where pets are seamlessly integrated into our daily rhythms. Whether I’m home for the day or visiting your house, my routine is centered on being reliable, present, and nurturing for your furry family members. Whether in my home or yours, my priority is maintaining your pet’s unique routine to ensure they feel secure and loved. In my home, your pet becomes part of our family, enjoying a safe, supervised environment with my own dogs and cat. In your home, I am meticulous about following your specific instructions, from feeding schedules to favorite walking routes. Drawing on my nursing background, I am highly observant of behavior and well-being, providing frequent updates and photos so you have total peace of mind. I focus on creating a calm, predictable atmosphere where every pet gets the individual attention and 'home-style' comfort they deserve.
“Yolanda was a great sitter for Rooney! We got plenty of updates and pictures throughout the day. It was great knowing he was in good hands while we were away. Highly recommend Yolanda, thank you!”

“Franklin had a great time at Richard’s house! Franklin is an older dog, very sweet, affectionate, and alert but low-energy, so a home setting was perfect for his disposition and needs. I’ll definitely be taking Franklin to Richard’s home again!”

“Karen provided excellent care for my daughter’s dog Pippin! Pippin can be anxious but she was right at home with Karen and her dogs. Karen sent us lots of pictures and updates and was an overall outstanding dog sitter!”

“It was our first time using Rover, but Alyssa helped explain everything and made us feel comfortable. She was also flexible about changing the initial date. We really appreciated how well Jude and Maddie were taken care of for the day! They seemed to have a great day!”
“New favorite sitter! Our boxer can be very anxious, especially her first few times somewhere. Arfel took such wonderful care of her and shared lots of pictures and updates. Ive never felt more comfortable leaving my dog somewhere before. We did a meet and greet before to ensure the dogs all got along. They have a huge fenced in back yard and deck. Highly recommend!”

“Ami & James are wonderful! They provided wonderful care for our dog. Communication was excellent and we got so many pictures and videos throughout the day. We would not hesitate to use Ami & James again and highly recommend them!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
