“Julia was the sweetest and most caring person ever! She came to babysit my kitten for three days, and was absolutely phenomenal the entire time! She showed up on time, made sure his food, water, and litter were clean and fresh, and sent many pictures throughout her stay. I personally requested the hr of playtime, and she definitely tired him out for sure! He (the kitten) personally - she mentioned he was practicing his biscuit techniques, and was greeting her with happy chirps the entire time! I’d like to say he enjoyed her company as well. On top of all of that, she made sure his area was all clean! No messes, no litter tracks, and nothing out of order. I definitely recommend, and will most definitely be coming back need be of another sitter! She listened carefully to their feeding routine and care needs (somewhat complex-as our very food motivated male cat will try to intimidate our smaller female cat if not separated for meals).I felt completely comfortable traveling out of state, knowing that our fur babies were in Rachael's care. We also entrusted her with feeding and caring for our daughter's gecko, which Rachael was not at all squeamish about. While we were away, Rachael sent me lots of check in pictures (she's quite the photographer, actually), and provided detailed descriptions of her visits. I fostered a pup from ACCT Philly for a few months, volunteered at the Humane Society, and often dog-sit for friends/ family. About: I’ve had my own dog since 2017 and have helped care for him ever since. For the past 5 summers, I’ve also dog sat and house sat for a family friend’s two standard poodles, one elderly dog with hip issues and hearing/vision loss, and one younger, high-energy dog who needed lots of attention and play. Last fall, I cared for the older dog during his final days, helping him stand, supporting him outside, and cleaning up after him when needed. I have also dogsat for my cousin's dogs for multiple days, walking them however much they needed and spending time with them. In addition, I’ve cared for a family friend’s cat by feeding her, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and spending time with her while they were away. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I’m waiting to hear back about a summer internship, but even with that I would still be available for evening visits and weekends. If I do not get the internship, I’ll likely be working part-time with varying shifts, which would still allow me to do pet care during the other half of the day and let pets out before and after work. I’m reliable with scheduling and happy to work around your pet’s needs. I have an electric fence but can take will take it out on a leash if they aren't fence trained. I have a dog that is not 100% reliable on how friendly he will be if it is a male but we can easily put him away for a few hours and keep him calm. I would mostly keep a client's pet within their home/neighborhood.
