About: Hi! I'm Ashley, a dedicated pet lover with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. Friends and family have trusted me for years to pet sit, whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, or just giving their pets the love and attention they deserve. I'm a proud dog mom to 3 girls, a 12 year old lab mix, a 4 year old yellow lab and a 3 year old lab/gsp, so I'm very comfortable with large, strong, and high-energy dogs. I understand their need for structure, exercise, and mental stimulation —and I'm always happy to keep up! I also have plenty of experience with puppies and know how important it is to be patient, consistent, and attentive to their unique personalities. My experience doesn't stop with dogs and cats-l've also cared for a bearded dragon and am confident in caring for yours whether it is a turtle/tortoise, fish or bearded dragon. I can't wait to meet you and your pets! I have a flexible schedule on the weekends and plenty of availability to give your pet the time and attention they need. I also have a reliable vehicle, so I'm dependable and able to accommodate your needs. When your pet is with me, they'll be treated like family. I'll follow your routines closely to keep things consistent and stress-free, and your pet will get lots of love, playtime, and attention. I also make sure to keep you updated so you always feel connected while you are away. I work full time with weekends off, with my own adventures, I know how important it is to have someone to be able to check in on your pets. I want to be able to provide that for others. I will keep as close to their routine as possible. If I need to take them on a walk to potty or let them roam their own yard, I will do.

“Jyoti was fantastic! She did two drop-in visits for our dogs, Dolly and Rivers, while we were away for the day. She was professional, punctual, and wonderful with both of them. We had complete peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for and could enjoy our day without worrying. We highly recommend Jyoti and will definitely be requesting her again in the future. Thank you for taking such great care of our pups! 🐾💕”

“Kacey was a very excellent caregiver to Sophie, as usual! I was able to have so much fun on my vacation knowing Sophie was being well taken care of back home. Sophie appreciated all the pets and treats!!! We will be booking with Kacey again 😊”

“Ivana was quick to get back to me and was able to accept on short notice. She did a great job with my dog and communicated with me every step of the way. I will definitely be using her again!”

I will treat your home and pets with great respect and professionalism. I have reliable transportation. Safety of your fur baby and myself will be a great priority.
“They did an AMAZING job with our trio of kitties. They even got our grumpy old cat who doesn’t trust anyone to come around :) I would totally recommend them to anyone. They took care of our kitties as if they were their own and were great about communication and keeping an eye on everything.”

About: I will provide your pets with a loving and caring environment. Your fur babies will get plenty of exercise and attention.” I continue to volunteer and I am so happy when I am around dogs! It feels so natural and fun. I will provide your pets with such amazing care and love. I love what I do , Dog sitting doesn’t even feel like work. Every dog has such a different personality and everyday is so incredibly different. Dog walking keeps me in shape and feeling good inside and out . I am a dog owner of two amazing beagles, Honey and Mia .They are such wonderful companions and part of the family. I’m currently home full time . I usually run my errands in the morning and home for the rest of the day. I’m never gone too long. I have plenty of quality time to care for your pet. I have a schedule I try to maintain. I’m fortunate to have a fenced in yard and I always stand outside and supervise when I provide drop in visits. I usually do two walks a day , depending on the weather. No matter what service, we will have a good day!
About: I’ve been walking dogs for a while, and I really enjoy spending time with them. I’m good at handling different kinds of dogs, whether they’re super energetic or more relaxed. I always make sure they get a safe and fun walk, and I pay attention to what each dog needs. I’m responsible, I show up on time, and I treat every dog like they’re my own pet. I’m available every day and pretty much all the time. I can walk dogs in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings, and I’m flexible if you need last-minute help. Just message me, and I can fit your dog into my schedule whenever you need. I always keep dogs safe by paying attention and walking in good areas. I’m responsible and make sure each dog is treated with care. I want owners to feel like they can trust me with their pets.
About: I’ve been raised around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for them in every stage — from playful puppies to seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. Having supported my own dogs through their later years, I understand how important gentle, attentive care is. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, which means I’m available for early morning visits before work and have my full afternoons and evenings open for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. Because I’m off mid-afternoon, your pet won’t be waiting all day for attention. I’m able to give them consistent, reliable care and quality time — whether that’s a calm check-in, an energetic walk, or simply extra cuddles to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I will always care for your pet the way you feel most comfortable, especially in your own home. I carefully follow any instructions you leave — from feeding routines and medications to favorite toys and bedtime habits — because I know how important consistency is for their comfort and your peace of mind. If they stay in my home, they’ll be welcomed into a calm, loving environment alongside my two pets. They’ll have access to a fully fenced backyard where they can safely explore and enjoy fresh air. I’m able to separate from my cat if needed to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable. While I’m not able to separate from my dog, he is well-socialized and used to being around other animals. My goal is always to create a safe, warm space where your pet feels cared for, understood, and at home.

“Good experience. The whole family did a good job looking after our dog while we were gone. Received regular photos and updates on our dog. Room was clean when we came back home.”

“Tanya was the best! She enjoyed Roxie as much as we do. Love how she sits and plays with her and loved all the pictures that were sent. Will definitely 💯 use her again. Thank you Tanya 😊”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. What started as my own quickly transformed into me neighbors and families as well. I can cut toe nails, bathe, walk, etc! I currently work from home and go to school but I can definitely care and love on your pups and cats (and any other animal). I love all of them - big and small! I have a fenced yard with my own friendly dog that loves to make friends as well. I can also crate your (or my) dogs if needed with a crate you provide. I’m currently working part time so I have tons of time to look after your pets. I’m about to go on maternity leave as well and so my complete attention will be turned to working from home with odd jobs! I have a fenced yard and a very friendly pup to keep your dog company. I have a couch for dogs to lay on and a dog bed.
About: I have been involved in working with animals on a providing-care basis since I was around 12 years old. I began through petsitting my neighbors dogs when they would go out of town. When I began college I got a job working at our local petstore which taught me so much more about caring for pets. I have also dedicated plenty of time to volunteering with animal shelters and fostering pets till they find their forever home. Now, I have multiple pets of my own and love any and all pets I have ever come across. I am currently a full time remote employee so I work from home M-F each week 7-4pm. Thankfully, working from home allows for flexibility and time with your pets the majority of the time. I am flexible with scheduling and I am happy to work with you and your pet to meet any needs or requirements that you may have. I currently live in a house with a large fenced in backyard where pets can run and play. I have pets of my own, 2 dogs. They get along great with each other and they all love other animals- cats and dogs alike. I am surrounded by great hiking trails, great parks, and more.

About: If you want to get away for that well deserved vacation or just a 3 day weekend and feel secure in knowing that your fur babies are being lovingly cared for, then I’m just who you’re looking for! I have loved dogs (and most animals) my whole life. I think of them as a family member, not as a pet. I will remain calm around your loved one as not to cause any anxiety. Even though I don’t have a dog at this time, I have had many dogs throughout my life. I can hardly remember a time that I didn’t have one. My best friend (a Boxer named CC) had quite a few medical problems from 2010 through 2015 and I had to give her an average of 17 pills a day. (Sometimes less). So I’m pretty experienced as far as that goes. My schedule is very flexible and I am very reliable. I am flexible about allowing your pet on furniture. If that’s not allowed I will follow your wishes 100%.

About: I have taken care of my family and friends animals since I was 14, I am now 20 and have worked with Animak Enforcement for a year at the LCSO. I have also volunteered at many Animal Shelters! I’m currently available at any point in time, animals fit into my active routine as taking on walks and caring intensively is something to look forward with me! I cannot do boarding at my home due to mom and sister being allergic :( I plan on having an animals sanctuary when I move out!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
