“Plain and simple, Madison was nothing less than a pure blessing caring for my puppy Sailor. She didn’t simply care for her, she made her part of her family. Finding Madison (Maddy) to care for my pup was an answered prayer. I cannot sing her praise enough! 5++++++++ stars!!”

“We needed doggy day care for our two dogs and Joe was wonderful with communication from the start to the end. Send updates and videos. Happy we found someone local to watch our pups. Will be using him for boarding our dogs for few days soon! Thanks!”

“I was nervous like a parent dropping their kid off for the first day of kindergarten. My dog hasn't had much separation from me in her seven years and it was her first time at doggy daycare. She had a blast!!I got a bunch of pictures videos and status reports that made nervous dad feel wonderful. She was worn out and slept with a big contented smile on her face!”

“Bonnie had such a great time! She is passed out on her bed. Sabrina shared lots of photos throughout the day which I was very grateful for. 10/10 Highly Recommend!!!”

“Shelby did a great job with my sweet old dog. He felt so comfortable, and I could tell that he was excited to see her by the way he was prancing at the front door when we arrived. There was even a special gift in his travel bag when we got home and a thank you card! I will definitely use her services again, he loves her.”

“Chelsea was great with my dog, she was very responsive and you can tell how much she loves dogs! My pup came home very tired and happy from running around with her boys all day. Would definitely recommend her!”

About: I’ve been in love with cats & dogs for as long as I can remember. In my home we always had 2 dogs and 2 cats. I cared for four family friends’ dogs in California the last couple of years. I love taking dogs on walks, and play time and cuddles with cats too. I have a mini poodle and a cat at the moment, they are best friends :) I am an RN but I am not working at the moment, so I spend a lot of time at home, so message me and we can see if what you need works out❤️ I will gladly send you pictures and video updates of your dog. I am also happy to play with them using their favorite toys! I am a nurse and I live with my husband who is a doctor (he also adores dogs). I am readily available to provide walks and companionship to your beloved pet on my days off. I would only dog sit your dog if I was not going to work, since when I do work in the hospital I’m gone all day and would not want to leave them for that long. So, on my days off and I dog sit and give them all the attention! I live in a 800 sq ft apartment overlooking a large park which offers an ideal space for playtime. I also live near a beautiful pond great for walking and exploring. I prefer dogs that will not sleep on my bed, but I’m ok with them going on the sofa.
“Ying is absolutely fantastic! He took great care of our dog, making sure he had lots of exercise and affection and treats! He sent lots of videos and pictures during the day so we knew he was in good hands. We are very picky about who we trust with our dog and Ying is top notch! We have already booked another day with him. Thank you, Ying!”

“Olivia was responsive, diligent, and caring with Melon! She met up with us in a park earlier in the week to make sure they’d get along, and all went really smoothly. Melon was clearly super comfortable even though it was her first time visiting Olivia’s. I’d readily trust her with our pup again!”

“Tracy was great, Bo came home after a 4-5 hour day care session in great spirits. Bring a puppy owner it was very difficult imagining sending my dog somewhere else, but Tracy made the transition easy. Even sending photos and updates showing me the quality of care Bo was receiving.”

“It's my seconding time having Ruthie to watch my dobie Ranger. I'm so thankful for Ruthie. She is so sweet and responsible. Ranger came home tired from all the plays and walks....and he got all the love from Ruthie and Olly :)”

“Howser thoroughly enjoyed his time with Angie and her pups! It's so comforting to know he gets to be with a true dog lover when I need to be away from him.”

“Erica was fantastic and obviously very savvy about dogs. She was wonderful with our dog Ziggy, and she has a beautiful property where dogs can play outside or relax in her home as Ziggy chose to do out of the heat. Erica texted us several times with updates and photos. She communicated well during the whole process. We definitely would recommend her for your doggy care and would use her again without hesitation. Thanks, Erica, for making our day at the Oregon Country Fair so much more enjoyable knowing Ziggy was well taken care of while we were there.!”

“We brought our dog to Whitney’s house for three days while we were in the area for work and she took great care of him! She was super flexible since we needed to pick him up at different times each day. And our dog was happy and well exercised when we got him in the evening. If we are ever back in the area again and need babysitting we will definitely bring our puppy back. Thanks Whitney!”

About: As a pre-veterinary student, I provide more than just pet sitting—I bring knowledge, patience, and a genuine passion for animal care. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and other small animals through both personal ownership and animal care work. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs, including administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll provide attentive, reliable care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind. I'm currently home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Aside from occasional appointments and errands, I'm home throughout the day. Caring for animals is already a part of my daily routine, as I have pets of my own with established care schedules. Adding your pet into that routine allows me to provide consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of companionship. I always work to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, medical needs, and any household rules so I can provide care that's both safe and consistent. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and closely supervise interactions. I carefully introduce new situations at each pet's comfort level and never leave animals in unsafe situations. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the home and the animals with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any specific care requests exactly as directed. I also provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As a pre-veterinary student, I'm attentive to changes in an animal's behavior or health and won't hesitate to contact you—and, if necessary, seek veterinary care—if I have concerns.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 275 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Alpine. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Alpine commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 275 sitters in Alpine, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
