About: I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2014. Taking care of animals is my happy place and it is a joy seeing all of their true personalities while pet sitting..especially outside of the vet office! I have the most experience with cats and dogs but I have also personally owned a range of pets (gecko, fish, hamsters, tarantula, axolotls, toads, rabbits, chickens, and more) and taken care of llamas, pot bellied pigs, horses, and chinchillas. I have even had the privilege to help care for a fawn and opossum! There is no pet that I would not love the opportunity to meet and care for. I am open to helping any special creature and with any special needs. My sister, Breanne, will often pet sit with me. She has helped me care for the wide range of pets for the past several years. She has a huge heart and loves any pet she sees (she doesn't even have to meet them!) There is never a dull moment for a pet when she is around because play and pet happiness are her ultimate goal. There is never a pet who will feel left out when she is around. She is also my plant expert. If you only need house sitting (without pets) I offer that as well. Just send me a message. Pet care is my full time job, whether it is for my own two dogs or helping other families with their pet needs. I am currently home full time and eager to meet your pet(s). I do occasionally work online but this is limited to a couple of hours a week. Just let me know what you are needing and we will see what we can do. I don't change up your care routine! I make sure gates are closed and collars are snug. I do not invite people over without permission. Please be as thorough as possible with anything I would need to know to help make each experience a great one. In my home, for caged creatures, I have a separate room for sleeping and would keep my dogs separate when taking them out for socializing. I currently cannot offer cat/dog care in my home. If you would also like plant care or basic house cleaning duties just let me know. All parts of the environment are important.
“My dog is very active barker but she was so patient and calm with him , I could tell he instantly loved her! Would definitely love to have her come hangout with him again!!”

“Thanks again for keeping an eye on our goofball Gary! He's still adjusting to flying solo without his brother around, so he loves all the love and attention you give him while we're away. I love knowing that he's well taken care of while we're out of town.”
“Regan did a nice job making friends with our kitty and her daughter played nicely with her as well! Communication was always prompt and she followed through with our routines and wishes. We would be happy to book with her again.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I will definitely rebook. I needed someone last minute to do drop by visits, Emily responded quickly, within a few hours we had a visit and I booked right after. Walker was well taken care of and she even kept and eye out on my horses as well. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“Tabutha is wonderful! Her attention to detail is fantastic. I can tell she truly cares about our pups. Giving them lots of lives. She even brushed my older dog for us because he is shedding quite a bit right now with the warmer weather. She notices the little things and takes it upon her self to help without asking.❤️”

“Great sitters! Super responsive and communicative, warm, and friendly. As dog owners themselves, a lot of care needs come intuitively and naturally to them - which takes the pressure off to explain everything. They show up exactly on time, and provide fantastic photos and Rover card updates with fun details to know my pup is having a great day.”

“Branden took excellent care of our senior dog and our two cats. Our dog is not often left behind, so we were concerned about how she'd do now that she's older, but Branden had her relaxed and happy, and she did great. The cats always do great with him - lots of fun, lots of great photos. Thank you Branden!”

“Sarah was incredibly professional and friendly throughout the entire appointment. I only showed and explained the layout of my apartment complex once and that was all she needed to complete the check-ins. I really appreciated the many photos she took during each visit, and when her phone was having issues sending me updates, Sarah made sure to respond to my messages ASAP as to let me know what was happening. She really knows how to make friends with a cranky old cat like mine; I was impressed. If I need cat sitter again in the future, Sarah will definitely be at the top of my list.”

About: Love to have a few more furry accouabilty partners in this new year to help me stay active. My passion for caring for animals began during my college years when I welcomed my very first dog into my life. While I may have been a latecomer to the world of pet ownership, it didn't take long for me to become utterly enamored with the joys of being a pet parent. Over the years, I've had the privilege of providing a loving home to several rescue dogs and have raised a cherished furry companion of my own. What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep-rooted commitment to ensuring every pet in my care experiences the utmost comfort and happiness. I've honed my skills in various aspects of pet care, including puppy training and senior pet care. My experience with puppies has given me the patience and understanding required to help them develop into well-behaved and happy dogs. Simultaneously, I've cared for senior pets with special needs, understanding the importance of tailored attention, medication management, and gentle companionship during their golden years. Rest assured that your furry friend will be welcomed into a loving, pet-centric environment where their well-being is my top priority. I look forward to the opportunity to extend my love and care to your beloved pet. Pet care is an integral and cherished part of my daily and weekly routine. I prioritize the well-being and happiness of my furry companions, and I extend the same level of dedication to any pets in my care. On a daily basis, my routine includes feeding, exercise, playtime, and grooming for my own pets. I ensure they receive the attention, love, and exercise they need to stay healthy and content. This commitment extends to any pets I'm caring for. I schedule regular walks and play sessions, ensuring they get the exercise and mental stimulation required to thrive. In summary, pet care is not just a responsibility but a joyful part of my everyday life. It fits seamlessly into my schedule, allowing me to provide the best care and attention to the pets I look after. When caring for pets, whether it's in my home or a client's home, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. The specific care approach can vary depending on the service provided, as well as the individual needs and preferences of the pet and their owner. In my home: Safe and Welcoming Environment: I strive to ensure that our home is pet-friendly and free from any hazards. This includes securing any potentially harmful items out of reach and creating a comfortable space for pets to relax. This includes your pets bed and anything they use at home to relax and feel safe. Outdoor Supervision: If I'm looking after pets with good recall in my yard, I maintain a watchful eye while they explore. My property is partially fenced, and I take advantage of any secure areas to let them play safely. Additionally, I use an electronic perimeter if necessary to provide a secure boundary. Regular Exercise and Play: I believe in the importance of exercise and playtime, and I provide opportunities for pets to run, play, and stretch their legs in a secure environment. Feeding and Medication: I adhere to the pet's regular feeding schedule and administer any necessary medications. I'm meticulous in ensuring they receive the proper nutrition and care..

“Amanda is super friendly, has amazing credentials and is very responsive! She came over to check on my two cats over thanksgiving and was sure to send a few pictures each day along with some quick updates. Plus she noticed a window was open and texted me about closing it and also tried to fix my malfunctioning litter robot! I would definitely book Amanda again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over a decade, starting with my own beagle who taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and love. I also volunteered as a dog walker at the Kitsap Humane Society, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments—including those who were shy, energetic, or needed extra care. What sets me apart is my calm and confident approach, as well as my ability to adapt to each dog’s individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between—and I always treat every pet like they’re family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends, and I plan my schedule around giving pets the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in, or extended stay, I make sure pets are never rushed and always cared for with patience and love. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow any instructions closely, maintain clean, pet-friendly spaces, and always keep an eye on their behavior and surroundings. I’m mindful of leash safety, secure environments, and ensuring pets are never exposed to unnecessary stress or risk.
“Jesse was great with our cat and she warmed up to him pretty quickly. I appreciated Jesse's professionalism and flexibility. I will definitely book Jesse for dates going forward and I would highly recommend his services.”

“Jeff was amazing with our senior, somewhat special needs pup! I felt extremely comfortable with how well cared for she was and he went above and beyond to spend time with her and make her happy! Some Rovers do the bare minimum for check-ins but I knew she was getting the most love and attention possible! Will definitely be requesting Jeff again!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
