About: I’ve had animals all my life. I have volunteered for a rescue since adopting my first guy 7 years ago. I foster for the rescue and facilitate adoptions. Since beginning that journey I started working at a training/boarding facility under a behaviorist where I obtained my CPDT-KA. Now I am on the road and I’d like to work with dogs in a way allows flexibility in my schedule. I am newly on the road, I will be in Pelham, NC area for a few months. This gives me ample time and flexibility during the day to take care of your pets! I am used to being able to board dogs at my house. However, with the life change of living in a camper two dogs I will make myself available for visits in your home.

We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

About: Pretty much not a single day of my life has gone by without being around animals/pets. Even though I am new to the rover platform, I have cared for animals my whole life and will treat your fur baby just like one of my own! I’m really trying to build up my clientele to make this a successful side business so if you give me a shot I won’t disappoint! I currently work 2nd shift so I am readily available most weeks as listed: Mon, Wed, Thurs = 10am-3pm Tues = 10am-1pm Fri & Sat = 10am-6pm Sun = not available None of those times are set in stone and depending on the situation I may still be able to work something out with you. I’m flexible so you just let me know what you need. Those times are just a general idea of when I’m available each day of the week. I will treat your home with respect and will follow any guidelines you ask in order to care for your pet. Safety is my #1 priority so I will always ensure I am following your routine of doing things to keep your pet free from danger (walking on a leash if you do so, not letting them escape the house, etc)

About: I've been around dogs and cats for many years and genuinely enjoy caring enjoy caring for animals of all ages and personalities. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have helped take care of my neighbor's dogs, including senior dogs that required extra attention and daily medication. About: I have provided daily in-home care for pets, including feeding, fresh water, and cleaning litter boxes or pet areas. I have administered daily oral medications and specialized diets to pets with chronic health conditions, ensuring 100% adherence to care plans. I have managed high-energy or reactive dogs on walks by implementing positive reinforcement techniques. I have volunteered at the local animal shelter in the past and also used to work at a grooming salon! I currently have a job as a registered nurse but my schedule is flexible allowing me to care for your pets when needed! This is something I have always wanted to do as a side job because it brings me such joy to work with animals. I will treat your pets in your home as I would my pets in my own. I will make sure they are properly cared for, cleaned up, and well fed!

About: I’ve always had a passion for animals. Growing up, my mother was a dog sitter, which made me comfortable around most, if not all, breeds. I would help her with feeding while she took the dogs out. Now that I’m older, I have two huskies and a cat. My ultimate goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets. 😂 So, my love for animals is quite immense. I’m currently in school and volunteer for 4-5 hours each day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I can provide potty breaks whenever needed, except during my volunteer work. Since these volunteer days are mandatory for my school program, we’ll have to find a way to accommodate them. Aside from these commitments, I’m mostly at home, except for occasional errands. I only allow one pooch per night, as per my previous experiences. Please be considerate of this, unless discussed otherwise, as it’s more for the comfort of both yours and mine. ☺️ I have a vast yard, spanning 2 acres. Approximately half of it is fenced in to provide a safe space for my two energetic huskies. One of them is particularly lazy, while the other is quite active. Additionally, I have a cat that has a fondness for our dogs.

Im a mom and I have dogs of my own, so I’m pretty used to taking care of everyone and keeping up with a routine 😂. When I’m watching someone else’s pets, I really just treat them like they’re my own. I’ll follow whatever routine they’re used to, make sure they’re fed and let out, give them plenty of attention and playtime, and of course lots of cuddles if they’re into that. I’ll also respect your home and leave things the way I found them. I know I’d be nervous leaving my own pets with someone, so I want you to feel comfortable knowing they’re being loved and taken care of while you’re gone. 🐾❤️

“I was leaving on a long vacation and although I had a live-in pet sitter for my elderly cat Sweetie, this person worked during the day. Sweetie needed encouragement to eat so I looked to Rover.com to find someone who could come in at noon to freshen up Sweetie’s food. Marcia got back to me right away, dropped by to meet us and get a key and, while I was away, sent me photos and videos of my cat taken when she came by to feed her! The first report I received was a photo of Sweetie’s empty food dish from breakfast plus a video of her heartily eating her lunch, which showed me that we were on the right track!
