This is also nice if your dog isn’t aloud around other dogs- they will have their own large area to do their business and enjoy their time outdoors in a safe private area too!! 😌❤️ Cats love it here too! 🐈🐈⬛ your furry baby will get to enjoy toys, lick mats, cat castles and scratching boards. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

About: What makes me special? Everything!!! A dog has always been a family member since I can remember. Thank God for loving parents who believed in bringing all kinds of pets in our home. We had birds, hamsters, and even the occasional snake or frog from the yard! There is a certain bond you get from a dog that you cannot get from any other animal, though...and I am lucky enough to have experienced that. My parents are proud owners of a rescue cat, and my sister's family has 3 kitties in their happy home!! They also have a sweet little gerbil that has somehow survived all of those felines! You can definitely tell we are a family of animal lovers!!! Since February 2017, my family "farm" has grown. I raised 21 babychicks from a day old...8 of which were ours, the rest for 2 other families...then we added 3 more, barely mature, hens and a rooster to our flock. It has definitely been a fun and wonderful learning experience! I have a wonderful rescued Pit, Buddy! We raised those chicks with Buddy around...so he is great with them! It's pretty amazing!!! (Oh...and just to clarify...Buddy will stay home during any visits/stays with your pet(s). That way you'll know your baby/babies are receiving the full attention they deserve!) Buddy is probably the most spoiled dog in the world because I make practically everything for him, from his shampoos (using essential oils) to his treats. He does get the dental treats at least once a day, but other than that...he's a gourmet doggie! I am a stay-at-home pup Mom...so on the 24 hour overnight visits with me, I'll only need to leave a couple of times during the day to take Buddy out to play, etc....he'll be with his Dad all night. Otherwise, I'm all yours, so if you need someone there to take your baby out literally every 2 hours or less, I can do it!! :-) I do Daycare a little different than Rover does...I only offer daycare in your home. I feel this is the best way to keep your pets in a place they feel super comfortable & with a sitter who will keep them happy, healthy and on their schedule completely. I will always keep you up to date on how your pet or pets are doing and will send you plenty of pictures if you wish! Extras services available: Baths with or w/o essential oils, Homemade bath soap with essential oils to-go (made with any requested oils from list), Doggie bag of treats to-go (made to your pet's dietary needs.) I also worked at a veterinary hospital for 2 years, gaining experience on how to care for others' pets there especially in emergency hours. I work a 2-2-3 schedule 12 hours a day meaning that I am off two days, on two days and off 3 days then vice versa the next week. The 12 hour shift pays off because that means I only work half a month! That leaves so much open time and that is why I have been able to tend to the current pets in my neighborhood so well. I have a Pomeranian named Bobby and he is my baby. I spoil him all the time and make sure that he is well taken car of whether he has to go outside at 2pm or 3am, I am out there! I give treats for rewards within moderation and love on him all the time. Your pets will get lots of love with me and I will make sure that they are well taken care of while still having fun. Bobby is a senior dog so I am always gentle with him because he also has a disability, so I will also be able to manage that if your dog has a disability as well. I walk Bobby twice a day and play with him a lot on the days that I am off because that is what continues the strengthen our bond.

Patch can be nervous with new people and has a fairly specific care routine, but Lexi was patient, attentive, and made her feel comfortable. She sent regular updates, photos, and a video, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She took Patch on walks, to the park, and even out for a pup cup. She also went above and beyond by buying toys and treats for Patch to enjoy during her stay. It was clear that Patch was well cared for and had a great time. Lexi was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and I would absolutely trust her to watch Patch again!”
