About: I love all types of animals. I have experience taking care of horses, pigs, cats, dogs, and even small rodents! I have multiple years experience working in veterinary clinics, doggy day cares, and even my own personal animals. I have taken 3 years of veterinary classes as well. I truly love animals like they are my own. I’m currently working part time learning how to be a saleswoman! So I have plenty of time to cuddle and love on your furry loved ones! About: Since age 10 I’ve been volunteering at the ARL. At this same time, my passion for animal welfare also led me to be vegetarian. Since being able to drive I have taken care of multiple different peoples animals during short and extended periods away from home. About: I have been dog sitting for my friends and family for years. I work from home and have a large fenced in backyard. I have a 3 bedroom house located a few block from a bike/walking trail. I would like a dog of my own but my schedule doesn’t allow for that so cuddling and spending time with your dog would be perfect. I’m new to Rover and would more than happy to provide references if needed. Your dog will have access to my furniture while I am home. I can maintain a set schedule and provide your dog with love and care while you are away. I currently work full time from my home. Your pet would be in a kennel very minimal and have lots of attention. Would just be in a kennel if I need to run errands. I have a large fenced in backyard that your pet will love to run free in. The fence was replaced summer of 2021 after the derecho.

About: I have had animals all my life as I grew up on a farm . Recently both my schnauzers pass away from old age. I am not ready for another pet of our own but love watching other pets. I am experienced watching all ages of dogs and cats and also administering medicine if needed. Pets will need to be kid friendly in my house , they can keep up with the energetic ones but know to be gentle with the older ones. I also love to snuggle so your pets will get lots of kisses and hugs. I have a very flexible work from home schedule, so I am able to cater to your pet's needs. They will work alongside me and I am able to take regular breaks for play time and walks depending on your pet. Safety is our #1 concern so even though we have a fenced in yard they will always be supervised. I also have locks on all our fences just in case. Our environment can also cater to the needs of your pet's personality; I am prepared to snuggle on the couch or play until we can't play anymore. I also love to take pictures so will keep you very updated! I know it's hard to leave your babies so we will do our best to make you and them feel comfortable.

My husband and I have been married 12 years and we have twin daughters. Our family also had a dog, Herky (of 13 years), who we recently passed away. We recently began our Rover journey to help fill the void in our home after losing Herky. We are looking for some puppy love and snuggles, to help heal our hearts. I work full-time, but our family has plenty of time to take care of your pet during breaks. Your pet will never be left alone more than a few hours at a time, and we are home in the evenings to take care of your fur baby! I have a nice back yard. In addition the high trestle trail is in our backyard which allows for nice long walks with your fur baby!

About: I have grown up with dogs and dog sit for many families. I have helped with different types of breeds, ages, and needs of many dogs over the years. I currently work in Des Moines during the week but have great availability on evenings and weekends. If your dog is fine staying home alone during the day if they stay with us, or when we stay at your home please consider us! We live on the third floor of an apartment complex here in Ankeny with elevator access! We have a patio that in warmer months we can always put per pads down if needed. Both me and my boyfriend are big dog lovers and will create a fun and safe environment for any and all pets. We do live in an apartment complex so if your pet needs lots of room to roam, our two bedroom apartment might not be a great fit.

About: Hello! I’m a teacher off for the summer and my own dog passed away this year. I’m not ready to adopt a new dog yet but I miss being with them and figured this summer could be a great time to do some dog walking or dog sitting! I grew up with dogs and have had a variety of breeds, shapes, sizes over the decades. I dog-sat during college and during grad school for friends, professors, and a few strangers I connected with on an older website (I feel like it was called care-dot-com for anyone who’s old enough to remember that). As someone who is a “bit” older, I’m reliable and have very little social life!! Perfect for you and your pet! I’m also super motivated to make your dog as happy as I can! I miss that aspect of having a pet—you take care of them and they keep you sane in this crazy world. As a teacher, I’m free this summer. I have had temporary jobs in the past but don’t have anything lined up this summer! I only have 1-2 short trips planned so mostly just kicking around and working on my yard and garden! I have a wire fenced yard (not a privacy fence). It’s not the biggest but I’ve also had a smaller yard! There are neighboring dogs, as well, so keep that in mind. As mentioned, no dog at the moment. I’m very careful with dogs in terms of behavior. I was raised to understand that the person is responsible for the dog’s behavior. This means paying attention, shortening the lead when needed, helping the dog feel secure, crossing the street, etc.

About: I found my first love for dogs when I was about 5, and begged my mom to rescue Burrito Bob. I then grew up always having a dog around. My junior year of high school I decided to buy my very own goldendoodle, Toby James. Toby is the best dog ever, and more so my child than my dog! I have 2 goldendoodle’s of my own, and they have learned very quickly what it’s like to be spoiled (we love drive through, the word pup-cup, and car rides! Of course we also love going on walks and runs! I have grown up living with 5 dogs at once of all different breeds! I’ve also recently learned how to groom my own doodles! Dogs hold a special place in my heart, and I’d love to care for your dogs like my own! I have 2 pups of my own that I treat like children! I enjoy taking my dogs for long walks and taking care of them! I will walk and let dogs out during the days! I have a 70 and 30 pound doodle that I walk at the same time! We recently welcomed our first non-fur baby into our home in October, and I am looking for a way to be the best mom I can be! What better way than daily walks and our absolute favorite thing - dogs?!

About: I grew up with 2 dogs- a Malshie and a Boxer!! I was the one who helped walk, pick up poop, bathe them, and give medications (always crazy experiences 😂).
