About: I’ve been helping care for my families dogs since I was little, doing things such as cleaning up after their messes, giving them their meds, taking them on walks, and simply just spending time with them and giving them the interaction they need. I’m currently looking for a part time job aside from Rover, so I’ll have as much time as needed to come help care for your pets! Nearly anytime of the day, I can come over and walk your pets, feed them, clean up their areas, or just simply spend some time with them. I’m able to come over nearly anytime and watch your pets, feed them, clean them, or whatever you need! I can give them meds, crate them, walk them, etc.

About: I grew up on a horse farm. I always had dogs for most of my life . Except when I lived in an apartment for a short time where I could not have one. My sister and I use to have fake dog shows as kids. It was so much fun. Now I have 2 loveable doggies of my own that i adopted . They love our fenced in backyard and my daughter and I walk them every day as a team. When Taylor was a toddler we would go out and visit grandma and aunt / sister and give chino her dog lots of love and walks. Also in the last 5 years my late moms dog rosie who was also adopted. Dogs are great.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals my whole life, including my own, friends, and family’s pets. Through high school and college I volunteered at a rescue that specialized in cats. Most recently I worked at a county animal shelter as an animal caretaker. Through the shelter I have had training in handling and care of almost every pet imaginable, as well as extra training in dog behavior. I also have training in foster of special needs / challenging behavior dogs, as well as neonate kitten care. I have experience giving many types of medications as well as iv fluids. I am currently solely focusing on providing pet care, so it is very easy for me to adjust my schedule to accommodate whatever needs your pet may have. I will care for your babies in whichever way you want. In my home, my dog kids are allowed inside or outside whenever they want and are not kenneled. But I will do my best to be consistent with whatever schedule they are used to. I also enjoy jogging if your pup would prefer a faster paced walk.

About: Animals have always been apart of my life in both big & small ways. Being able to care for other pets, is just an extension of me caring for my own. My goal is to make your pet(s) as comfortable, loved, and cared for as if you had never left. I pride myself in the small details & going above and beyond what is expected. ~ Experience with young puppies to senior dog, and diabetic dogs. Including giving insulin. ~ Extensive experience with cats including specialized medical needs. ~ Comfortable giving oral, topical, or injectable medications. MY BACKGROUND: At an early age while growing up on five acres in the country, I was often taking care of a variety of animals, including our dogs and many barn cats. I was a bit of a cat Momma, often times assisting with extra care like bottle feeding or treating illnesses as they came. Eventually I started taking care of our neighbors animals when they were away. Throughout childhood I had several special cats that became my indoor pets & my first adopted dog at the age of 13. After high school I worked at a stable. My ‘Cat Whisper’ abilities came in handy while here- tending to the cats & ensuring the kittens grew up & had a chance to be healthy, loved barn cats. As a young adult, I cared for my two indoor cats & my Boxer puppy - a dream come true. ADDITIONALLY: I have almost 10 years of experience as a CNA and have completed 1 year of nursing school. You can feel confident knowing that your pet is in capable hands. I’m currently working from home & homeschool my daughter, allowing my weekdays to be flexible. I’m also home most weekends. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in care, walks, and extended care. FOR THOSE LOOKING TO PLAN AHEAD… I have my Spring/ Summer 2027 currently unavailable as I don’t have enough information yet to determine my exact availability. If you have an upcoming trip you are planing and in need of care, or looking for reoccurring care during these dates, please message me directly to get priority booking as my availability opens. My goal is to make your pet(s) as comfortable, loved, and cared for as if you had never left, and to give you peace of mind while you’re away. I know that every family has a different way of caring for their pets. Therefore, I will work with you to find out how best to care for your animal by asking questions up front before I even step foot in your home. Communication is key. At the end of my visit, I will give you an overview of your pets time with me including sending pictures. If there’s anything else you’re looking for, just ask.

About: Pet parents love booking with me because I provide fast communication, reliable care, and affordable rates. I typically respond within 2–3 minutes between 7am and 9pm, so you’ll never be left waiting for a response or update. I also have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate short-notice bookings, making things easy for busy pet parents. In July 2025, my heart grew four paws bigger when I brought home Bella, my sweet Goldendoodle—and I’ve loved every second of raising, training, and adventuring with her. I genuinely love spending time with dogs—it’s basically free therapy haha! 🐶 As a dedicated dog sitter and pet caregiver, I treat every dog like they’re part of my family. Whether it’s dog sitting, doggy day care, boarding, drop-in visits, or walks, I make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I grew up with cats and fostered over 10 through the Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin during college, helping them heal, build confidence, and find their forever homes (one of those special fosters even joined my parents’ family!). From vet appointments and administering medications to daily routines, enrichment, exercise, and lots of snuggles, I’ve been hands-on in every stage of pet care. Your pets will be treated like family—because that’s exactly what they are to me. 💛🐶🐱 If you’re looking for an affordable, reliable, and communicative pet sitter, I would love to meet you and your furry family members! I work full-time from home, which allows me to provide pets with consistent attention, supervision, playtime, and care throughout the day. My schedule is structured yet flexible, making it easy to incorporate walks, feeding routines, potty breaks, enrichment activities, and plenty of cuddles without rushing. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment community that features an on-site dog park and numerous walking paths, giving dogs plenty of opportunities for exercise, exploration, and fresh air. I'm also usually available on weekends, allowing for extra companionship and one-on-one attention. I keep my calendar updated every 1–2 days and may have availability even when my calendar appears full, so please feel free to reach out. I'll always do my best to accommodate your needs and provide your pet with reliable care, a consistent routine, and lots of love. 🐾💛 I care for pets in a safe, loving apartment environment designed with animals in mind. My apartment is pet-friendly and includes plenty of space, cozy pet beds, and lots of toys to keep everyone comfortable and entertained. Our community features a dog park and several walking paths, providing plenty of opportunities for exercise, fresh air, and enrichment. I'm also always happy to take dogs on new adventures or stop for a pup cup treat! For overnight boarding in my home, dogs are safely crated at night (if crate trained or preferred by the owner) to help create a secure and restful environment for everyone. I'm happy to schedule a meet and greet with you and your pet ahead of time to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Please feel free to ask any questions about my services—I believe in open communication and want you to feel completely confident that your furry family member is in good hands while you're away. My home is fully pet-safe and pet-ready, with a structured, secure, and loving environment where your pet will receive plenty of attention, care, and affection. 🐾💛

About: I’ve had my own dogs but I’ve also spent about 7 years as a foster mom to needy dogs and have had the pleasure of watching 14 dogs pass through my home on their way to a forever family . I’ve had dogs in heat , sick with heartworm and kennel cough . I currently have a 11 year old foster failure pit bull that is completely comfortable with me being gone for long stretches of time and all hours as well , he has access to the yard with doggy doors . I’m recently retired and am looking for new ways to occupy my time other than clocking in !! My dog is 11 and we typically are super low key and I have no commitment on a daily basis . At the present time I would be doing only in your home care , my dog is old and used to being an only dog , too late to change . I can easily do anytime or even overnights , he’s used to me being gone

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, with a special appreciation for senior pets and those who need extra patience or consistency. One of the most meaningful experiences I've had was adopting a 12-year-old cat that developed chronic kidney disease (CKD). I cared for her through nearly four years of treatment, managing medications, hydration, appetite, weight, and daily routines until she passed away just shy of her 16th birthday. That experience taught me the importance of careful observation, consistency, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior that can indicate something isn't right. I also have experience caring for a Yorkshire Terrier and understand the unique needs of toy breeds, including their size, energy, and safety considerations. Several family members and friends have larger dogs that I take on walks and care for when they're away. Professionally, my background is in consulting and project management, which has made me highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. I follow instructions carefully, communicate proactively, and believe pet owners deserve regular updates and photos so they can enjoy their time away with confidence. My goal is always to care for your pets the way I would want someone to care for my own. Pet sitting fits well into my schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care while maintaining flexibility. I currently offer overnight house sitting, typically from approximately 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., when many pets appreciate the comfort of having someone with them overnight. During the day, I may have other work or personal commitments depending on the booking, but I always communicate my schedule in advance so expectations are clear. I strive to keep pets on their normal routines for meals, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and companionship while respecting the schedule that works best for each household. I understand how important consistency is for animals, especially seniors or pets with medical needs, and I do my best to minimize disruptions to their daily routine. I am able to pick up your animal and drop them off for an additional fee ($10 / day). When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining the environment and routines they already know. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, exercise, household rules, and any special care your pet requires. I take time to build trust with each animal, allowing shy or anxious pets to become comfortable at their own pace. Safety is extremely important to me. I pay close attention during walks, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets for changes in behavior or health, and never hesitate to contact an owner if I have a question or concern. I also treat every home with the same respect I would expect someone to show mine, keeping it clean, secure, and well cared for during your absence. Communication is a key part of my service. You can expect regular updates and photos so you know how your pets are doing and can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own. Also I have experience with older dogs and puppies. I love all animals! I'm not scared of much either! I currently work part time. So I'm pretty open. Tuesdays and every other Sunday I'm available afternoon. That could potentially change if more work comes in. I care for my pets by taking them to the dog park twice a week making sure they have food and water. Also making sure they are utd on their shots. For taking care of your pet tho that would go off of how you would want me to take care of your animals. You are the owner. I'm just there to help you out and take care of your animals.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life. From the responsibility of family pets, to walking dogs for family friends and neighbors when I was 8 years old. As an adult I have rescued senior dogs, I have a soft spot for them. I also have experience with bully breeds and absolutely love them. I love dogs of all breeds and I can’t wait to meet yours. I currently go to school part time, it is all computer based and self paced so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies while you’re away. Available during the week and weekends. Available for holidays with enough notice. I live near the lake and love to go for walks. I would prefer to care for your pet in their own environment as I know when you are gone it is stressful enough for them. I do currently have one dog of my own. I do live in an apartment complex with other dogs present.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Albany. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Albany.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Albany. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
