About: Taking care of a dog is one of the most rewarding and eye-opening experiences I’ve had. Last summer, I had the opportunity to look after my cousin’s Labrador Retriever, Max, for two weeks while they were on vacation. Although I was excited at first, I quickly realized that dog care involves more than just playing fetch and giving treats. The first challenge was adjusting to Max’s daily routine. He needed to be fed twice a day, walked at least three times, and had a habit of waking up early for his morning stroll. At first, I struggled to keep up, especially with the early mornings. But over time, I began to appreciate the routine. It taught me discipline and helped me become more organized with my time. One of the most important lessons I learned was the importance of communication and observation. Max couldn’t speak, of course, but his body language told me everything I needed to know. When he was anxious, he would pace and whine. When he was happy, he wagged his tail and jumped around. I learned how to respond to his needs by watching him closely, whether it was giving him more water, comforting him during thunderstorms, or simply playing with him when he was bored. There were also fun and heartwarming moments. Max loved the park, and I began to enjoy our walks as a time to unwind and bond. We developed a rhythm—he’d chase a ball, bring it back, then rest beside me while I read on a bench. He became more than a pet; he was a companion who brightened each day. Overall, taking care of Max taught me responsibility, empathy, and patience. It was a learning experience that went far beyond pet care—it helped me grow as a person. I now understand what it takes to care for another living being, and I carry those lessons with me everyday. I normally walk to the park in the morning around 8am. Long rest until noon in which I'll take dogs to fenced in areas and let them play. Afternoons I'm getting to my overnight stays where I can end the night. I do not have a vehicle so everything is though walking. I do have a fenced in area at home if needed but all walks should be within your area.

I've been trained in everything from nail trimming & to choosing the best types of food, medication, toys, gear, etc. for all pets. I can even care for reptiles and birds! At my previous pet retail jobs, I was in charge of the enclosures and display cases. I have 5 dogs and 2 cats of my own who also require tons of love and attention! My longest dog relationship has been 12 years and counting! I also have a pet horse I've owned for over 13 years. I am able to walk multiple pets. I can schedule those tasks around Rover and can be available anytime (7 days a week) for drop-ins and daily walks. About: Hi, my name is Elle and I moved here to Biloxi in May. I have one dog named Jasper. He may have a little underbite that looks threatening, but don’t be fooled, he is the sweetest little cuddle bug around. I love doing outdoor activities. I take Jasper hiking, alongside me on bike rides, runs, beaches, and walks. We haven’t braved the kayak or paddle board yet but once he’s more comfy in the water—it’s game on. Although I do enjoy a lot of outdoor activities, I also like to have a good book and curl up with Jasper on my couch to get some relaxation in. I work 8-4 during the week, but am home throughout the evenings and mostly all day during the weekend. I walk Jasper each morning and can easily add another doggo or two to get in some exercise before the day starts. We play fetch in the afternoon for a short while—the heat index is killer, so we only do it a small amount of time. Caring for a pet(s) is engrained in my everyday routine. I don’t plan anything without a thought of how to take care of Jasper and any other babies I might have at the time. Jasper is my first baby, yours will be no different. They are allowed on the furniture and beds. They can free roam (as long as that’s their usual routine and they aren’t destructive).
