“Lindsay was great for our Hudson over Thanksgiving while we were out of town. We considered other places but knew that Lindsay’s family was the perfect family to make Hudson feel welcome and as if she was with her own family. Would absolutely recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a wonderful host.”

“Bandit was so happy and calm when I picked him up. It was very clear he was comfortable and well taken care of! She took him on several walks and sent many pictures. He was a HAPPY BOY!!”

“Isha and Grant took such good care of our Mac while we were on an extended trip! We received regular pictures of him making himself at home, snuggling, and taking walks. We will definitely use Isha and Grant again!”

“MacKenzie was awesome! My Nova girl can be a little high maintenance and MacKenzie made sure she was well taken care of. She even sent me pictures. I will definitely book with her again”

“Samantha was amazing and watched my cat for a few hours before a flight while I was home for the holidays. It was a last minute request and she answered and coordinated with me quickly and efficiently. She’s friendly, professional and close to the airport. Would definitely recommend boarding with Samantha!”

“Teddy enjoyed his time with Michelle and her pups. We had never left Teddy before and he has horrible separation anxiety. He acted as though we didn’t exist 😂. She has a fenced 3/4 acre lot for the dogs to explore and he snuggled with everyone on the bed at night. We will definitely be using Michelle again. Bonus points that she is only 15 mins from the airport!!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience with Stefanie! She sent pictures and updates, and our dog seemed much happier afterward than when we’ve picked her up from boarding at our usual facility.”

“Haley was an excellent Rover sitter for our daughter, Miss Pickles! She provided excellent care for Pickles and gave continual updates and pics of all of the fun Pickles was having. To our delight, Haley treated Pickles as if she were her own and, for that, we are eternally grateful. We would not hesitate to book with Haley again or to recommend her to our friends!”

“This was my dog's first stay with Jenea's family and it went great! Loved that we did a meet and greet first. Her pups were very friendly and she had a spacious yard. Janea sent regular updates and was friendly. I think my dog was well taken care of. I will book again!”

“This was my first time using Rover for sitting service. Erin had lots of positive reviews and was a great dog sitter for my pet. She sent me daily updates along with pictures which was fun to receive. It was a great experience and I'm already scheduling my dog's next stay. I would highly recommend giving Erin a try. You will be glad you did!”

About: Hi! My name is Elle and I have been a dog lover for as long as I can remember! My soul dog, Rory, recently went to heaven- so our home is pet free! About: I grew up with a dog for about 10 years. We rescued her and raised her as a puppy. I have some family who have three dogs, and we help take care of them sometimes, so I know a good amount about dogs, how to walk them, etc. I have some time occasionally when after work either in the mornings or evenings and sometimes look for something to do so I figured I could fit this into my schedule and help some people out while making some money in the process. I help take them for walks, I pet them to make them happy and comfortable, I feed them and give them some water, I take them outside whenever they need to go to the bathroom, I even play with them whenever I can
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 9. I also have grown up with dogs in my family and I even trained the one I have now! My neighbors, family friends, and even friends have asked for my help with walking, feeding, and also bathing their pets. I will be coming home for Winter break with no other job, so i’ll have lots of time to care and play with your pups. Since it is the holiday season, I’ll have to double check with my availability should your pups need to be watched over the holidays. I live in an apartment, so it might be a little difficult to watch your pet over at my place. But if needed, I can make it work, I also have a dog of my own to play with and keep your pet company.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Agency can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Agency home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Agency.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Agency sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
