“I was so nervous for this first time sitting experience with my dog Willow as we have always traveled together in the two years since adopting her. Upon finding Stephanie and doing 4 acclamation half-day visits, Willow instantly loved Stephanie and her dog Cricket , her children and all the other dogs that she cares for while visiting. As the vacation came and I dropped her off, Willow fit right in and played with all the housemates so well, I was nervous she wouldn’t wanna come home, as she was so comfortable and content. Thank you Stephanie for being a second human mom to my sweet girl Willow. I will be maintaining connection with a couple monthly half day plays. Highly recommend”

“This is Bentley's 2nd time with Janet and he is already showing his comfort with her by being more vocal when he wants out or is hungry and when he wants on her lap. So appreciate Janet! She is Bentley's 2nd Grandma.”

“Jennifer was great with Scout. She took her on short notice and scheduled a meet and greet that day. During Scouts boarding Jennifer took the time to keep me updated by texting me and sending pics and short videos. She made sure Scout got exercise and also took Scout to the dog park after checking with me for my approval. Jennifer was professional, kind and took in Scout like she was he own. I would highly recommend Jennifer if you are looking for a boarder for you dog. I'll continue to use Jennifer in the future..”

About: I grew up with dogs and have always had a dog in my life until recently. My greatest strength is my ability to communicate with dogs. I have reaised puppies and cared for senior dogs through end of life. My best friend, King George (pictured), taught me how to love in ways I did not know were possible, and now I want to pay that forward. No matter your pet's needs, I can provide them. I work part-time from home. My work is extremely flexible, which allows me to give your pet 100% of my attention while under my care. My dog was my son and I always put him first. I will care for your pet as if it is my own child. I have no pets now, so you are guaranteed that your pet will always come first with me. If I watch your pet in your home, I will learn your routines, habits and behaviors so that I can surpassed your expectations in pet care.
About: I have been dog-sitting/walking since I was ten (that was over 20 years ago!). I started out in my neighborhood and by word-of-mouth became known as someone who will lovingly care for your pets! I understand that a pet's physical needs are important, but I also know that pet's emotional needs are important. When taking care of your fur-baby, I try to love him/her as much as you do! I never had a dog or cat of my own growing up, which just makes it even more special for me to be able to care for yours as though it is my own. I have been house sitting on and off since college, and am very experienced with keeping other peoples' homes/havens clean and well-kept. I enjoy walking, snuggling, and playing with your dogs, and petting, snuggling (if they allow it ;)), and playing with your cats! I have pets of my own and know just how much love and care they deserve. I have kids and they love animals too! We homeschool and I work from home, so your pet will never be lonely. I'm available to love on and meet your pet's needs when they arise. I want your pet to feel loved and cared for, and will stick to your routine and schedule as much as I can! And make sure they have the lovings they need.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
98% of sitters in Acton can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Acton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Acton.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Acton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
