About: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my biography! A little about me, I am a licensed veterinary technician and a certified agriculture teacher. I am currently a stay at home mom to two under two. I have worked with cats and dogs in various veterinary clinics before going into teaching. I also spent several years working in the dairy industry managing herd sizes from 100-750. Since I am working from home my flexibility is very accommodating making me available almost anytime any day. I am friendly, outgoing, and I take the care of others seriously. I hope to meet you soon! I can always be accommodating to whatever needs arise. I am free any day and just about any time! I have great flexibility with scheduling! I am CPR/first aid certified for people and dogs. I know the area and where to walk dogs and where to avoid. You will never have to worry about the safety of your animals with me.

About: Hello! I’m Jess, and I provide specialized walking and drop-in visits across the Catskill, Hudson, and greater Columbia/Greene County area. I don’t just walk dogs; I use every visit as an opportunity to build confidence, improve focus, and reinforce leash manners. My approach is built entirely on modern, science based Positive Reinforcement and LIMA (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) principles. I believe in rewarding behaviors we want to see, helping dogs learn safely, without the use of intimidation or aversive tools. I am currently completing dog training and behavior studies through the CATCH Academy curriculum. This ongoing education ensures your dog is in the hands of an informed and committed professional. I currently work part time on Sundays and Wednesdays, so I have plenty of time during the week to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care. I focus on leash manners during every walk to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience. I can work with dogs on impulse control skills to help reduce pulling through positive reinforcement and force free training methods. If your dog has any triggers I will work to maintain distance and reward when calm to ensure success and keep stress to a minimum for your pup.

About: Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a lifelong dog-lover and I just go gaga for descendents of wolves of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. My mother actually says that my first word as a baby was "dog", so I think it is simply fate that I am here today. I grew up with a magical Golden Retriever named Chessie and a spunky wire-haired Dachshund named Emma. I loved playing fetch with Chessie in the backyard, grooming Emma and trying to tame her spikey fur, and walking them together all around my hometown. As an adult, friends and family trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their dogs. And later, I was lucky enough to adopt a very special 7-year old mini-Australian Shepherd named Lexi who had been surrendered by her previous owner. Lexi had intense separation anxiety and some health issues with her kidneys, so after all that she had been through, it was so wonderful and rewarding to love and care for Lexi and watch her regain her confidence and trust in people and thrive. Being her dog-mom was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life and I miss her so much. As your pup's new friend, it is my mission to give them that same level of attention, care, and admiration. Dogs have infinite space for love and joy and we have so much to learn from them, so I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I am a work-from-home creative type so I have lots of time and space in my schedule to take care of your pup! I am available for walks, playdates, and drop-ins, Monday through Friday 8am - 6pm and I also offer boarding. I live in a large first floor two-bedroom apartment that's right next door to my building's dog park. Enriching town parks and trails are super close, along with a community teeming with all sorts of dog-lovers and dogs. My home is a warm and welcoming spot for your dog's vacay!
