Our Story Hearth & Herd Animal Care was founded out of a lifelong passion for animals and a deep commitment to their well-being. With over two decades of hands-on experience in animal care — including several years as a veterinary technician — I bring both professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to every animal I serve. In addition to running Equine Care Services LLC, a trusted provider of horse care in the region, I’ve built long-standing relationships with my clients — many of whom have relied on my services for over ten years. I am proud to be a trusted partner in their animals’ lives. Whether it's daily walks, feeding routines, medication administration, or specialized farm animal care, every service is tailored with attention, consistency, and compassion. And as of this year, I am also Animal CPR and First Aid certified, further ensuring your animals' safety under my care. At Hearth & Herd, your animals are more than just clients — they’re family. My career has always been dedicated to the care of animals. They are a part of my everyday life. I would be lost without them. I will care for your pets as if they are one of my own. I have a fenced yard, an outdoor and indoor kennels if needed, plenty of fresh air, and lots of snuggles.

About: I’ve been around pets ever since I can remember and have always had at least 1 dog if not 2. I find genuine joy in spending time with animals and would love nothing more than to spoil your babies like my own! I work your normal M-F 8-5 so through the week I could do early morning and evening visits. On the weekends I can do sporadic visits through the day. I haven’t met a dog I don’t love. I will treat them as if they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of loves and mental stimulation!

I enjoy staying busy and spending time with pets, so its a win-win situation! I put a huge emphasis on making sure that pets are comfortable with me. I get to know their unique personalities and individually care for them based on their needs. As a pet parent myself, safety is my top priority, and I pay great attention to detail specifically in that matter.

About: I truly believe pets become very lonely when left at home. Animals need fresh air and lots of love and play time. I currently have two very loving, playful 2 year old Bichons, and I love them dearly. I would be overjoyed to get paid for playing/walking/tending to your pet while you are away (: thank you so much for considering me! I’m currently working part-time on, but I have a free and flexible schedule for your pet needs on Thursdays and Fridays, along with the weekends. I can be as flexible as needed because I know every pet differs. I have two fur babies at home and will soon have a fence. I am able to crate your animal at night if I’m providing pet sitter services, and I’m also able to provide updates as frequently as you would like. I love to be active and be outside, so walks are no problem either.

About: I have had pets my whole life up! I'm a full time stay at home mom with 3 kiddos (2 in school and 1 not in school cause shes a baby!) I am looking to earn a little pocket change while hopefully helping someone out with their fur babies. Most times I will have to come with my baby in her carrier for now, but certain times I may be able to work around that, so please dont hesitate to ask! I am willing to travel as far as Kansas City/Overland Park, Pittsburg, and Joplin/Springfield, or basically within an hour and half for house sitting. As a mom I am not able to stay in your home for house sitting, I could consider pet care inside my home on a case-by-case basis. For daily walks, we will have to agree on a price if its farther than Nevada, El Dorado Springs. I live on a few acres with cats, a dog, chickens, and ducks. I have experience with a lot of different types of animals as well including fish and smaller caged critters. I have experience working with service dogs as well. If you have any questions, please reach out! Im super flexible and would love to be able to help you any way that I can. I am a stay at home mom with 2 of 3 kiddos in school. My schedule is very open. Whatever work you're needing with your animals, please reach out. Animal care in my home will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Animal care in your home will be as requested by you. I typically could not do overnight care as I've got kiddos in school and will most likely have to travel a bit to help you with your animals, but on weekends or breaks I can consider it.

About: Animals of all sorts are drawn to me and I them! I grew up with the nickname Dr. Doolittle. I not only have experience caring for domestic pets but exotic pets too! I'll always treat your little buddy with warmth and love. I like to stay active and happy, and caring for your pet would do just the trick. I'd like to make money doing something that means a lot to me. I visit them, and give them a bit of attention and love before feeding them and/or crating them. I can give them enrichment and exercise.

About: I have 2 dogs myself and have always spent a lot around animals. I have been responsible to walk, feed and water, and bath my own pets. Im currently working part-time, so ill have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on weekends, and week days after 3:30 pm. Unfortunately I can not provide a boarding service however from the comforts of your home your pet will experience lots of companionship and will never feel stressed or uncomfortable while your away. Walks, baths, and lots of belly rubs will be included for your pet.

I work from home and don’t work in the summers. My friends and family consider me the dog whisper and someone you can trust. About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life. It’s turned into a lively career of dog training, grooming and boarding. I specialize in training service dogs as well as aggressive and special needs dogs. I am also pet CPR and first aid certified, so your pet is always in the safest and best of hands with me. My entire life is taking care of animals, mine as well as others. My world revolves around these amazing creatures, so I always have time for them. Boarding dogs are held at my home for a personalized and comfortable experience. I also offer drop ins for the pets that prefer just to be checked up on at home. Training sessions are held in multiple locations for the best training results.

About: I work at an elementary school as a special education teacher7am-3 so I can watch your furry animal after 3:30 pm have been taking care of animals since I was little , I have lived on a farm for 15 years before I moved to the city I have taken care of new born puppies and kittens with bottle feeding and special needs dogs , i have had English bulldogs since I was little ..I have taken care of dogs all of size from a tea cup chihuahua to an Irish wolfhound…I can’t wait to meet your furry animals I work at an elementary school as a special education teacher so I can watch your pets after 3:30 and I can work Sundays but not Monday or Friday So I do not offer in home care as my older English bulldog does not get along with male dogs or cats but if there is an emergency I can bring the animal over here but not for overnight 😊

About: Taken care of dogs for over five years. Watch neighbors and friends dogs routinely. Live around the corner from Grandview pet hospital for even more peace of mind. I work full time remotely so I’m always home. Bathroom breaks and walks will never be an issue. I am literally home 95% of the time. The other five percent is locally around KC to see family. Big back yard and have an extra room for pets including toys and mattress etc. My dog is my son without tax breaks so he sleeps in the bed with me mostly. I don’t mind if dogs are on furniture etc. If this is against your home rules, I have no problem keeping them off if needed. Food, walks, naps, play time and repeat.

About: I recently retired from being a Kennel Manager at a rescue for 4 years. I loved it so much! However it was my time to go. In the last four years I’ve handled puppies to seniors. All disabilities and assortments of care. I know how to handle and approach every type of dog and cat. I have only been bitten one time in 4 years and it was my fault. I’ve taken Obedience classes and even have minor grooming skills. I have had several liters of puppies in my time all very successful unless due to illness. I’m currently working part time and have lots of time to play with your fur babes! I’m a very active person and try to stay that way. Being able to walk your pet while I get my cardio on is a win win! I’m a huge animal lover with time to love on your fur babe. We use basic training with our pets and the word “No”. We believe in positive reinforcement and kennel training. Lots of training treats! Our dogs get to run the house freely they are all trained and my partner works from home. I would use whatever technique the owners use to stay consistent. I would never harm a dog in any manner.
