About: My border collie (Dierk) and I walk and play fetch daily near Heartland or at the Cochrane dog park. In the summer months Dierk would love to swim and fetch sticks in a river or lake ALL DAY!! We love bringing other dogs on our adventures too! I set my own schedule and can run my online business from anywhere. I typically have client meetings between 9am and 12pm with a 1 or 2 hour break followed by another meeting or 2. Dierk is extremely well trained, doesn't bark and gets along well with all dogs. We love keeping dogs company in their homes when their owners are away. I've wanted to walk and take care of other people's dogs for many years, but I was waiting until my son graduated high school! Now I have maximum flexibility and time to be anywhere at any time. Dierk and I are excited to meet more fellow dog lovers and bring other dogs along on our walks.

About: As a dedicated pet lover with a deep passion for animals, being a pet sitter is not just a job for me, but a calling. I believe that pets are beloved members of our families, and they deserve the highest level of care and attention when their owners are away. With years of experience in pet care, including volunteering at local animal shelters and fostering animals in need, I have honed my skills in providing exceptional care for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals. I understand the unique needs and personalities of different animals, and I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for them. One of my top priorities as a pet sitter is the health and safety of the pets in my care. That's why I require all pets to be up-to-date on vaccinations to ensure the well-being of both the visiting pets and those in my home. This policy ensures a healthy and secure environment for all furry guests. I have a very secure location in my house where they are allowed to roam freely in the house with my small yard. I prefer the environment where the client is more comfortable towards its furry being as I understand animals love to stay more where they have grown up. I'm open to stay at client's house for a day or two for house sitting. As a pet sitter, I offer a range of services tailored to the needs of each individual pet, including regular exercise, feeding, bathing, and administering medication if necessary. I am also skilled in handling emergencies giving pet owners peace of mind knowing that their beloved pets are in capable and caring hands. Above all, my motivation to be a pet sitter stems from my unwavering love and passion for animals. I am dedicated to providing the best care possible for pets, creating a stress-free and enjoyable experience for them, and building lasting relationships with both the pets and their owners. I’m currently working from home, as my job offers me a flexible environment to work which helps me fulfill my passion of taking care of pets. On weekends I’m free so I can take full time care. I work according to the client’s need as they know their children better. There are no restrictions in my house as the little ones will not be chained or caged unless required as per the clients request as I believe they should have their own freedom and should feel like home.

He is trustworthy and I felt very comfortable leaving my 2 cats in his care. He sent me daily updates which I really appreciated. I would recommend Ryan to everyone and will be requesting him in the future.”

About: I have been sitting and taking care of pets for most of my life, and believe pets are a valued member of my family. I assure you that by chosing me, your pet (and/or home) will be Safe, secure and loved in your absence. My schedule allows spending as much or as little time as your needs, no hidden fees- let's discuss! I am a caretaker by trade as a social worker and my flexible schedule allows me to create a schedule that works for your situation. Allowing me to adopt to your pets routine can be a comfortable transition for us all while thier human is away. I am quick in emergencies and knowledgeable to administer first aid or any support your pet may need. I've taken pet first aid and other workshop courses ( ie dog behavior, aggressive behaviour, emotional support program, safety, grief support program). It's important that I am in control and am aware of my situation & surroundings so that everybody is safe and has fun as such, I limit how many dogs i watch, chose activities appropriate to weather/environment, limit phone use, surveying the areas, no on leash meetings, etc.
15. Arissa B.
“Arissa is a responsible and friendly dogsitter. She has a naturally playful attitude and is especially fond of fluffy dogs. She will take good care of your special friend!!”
16. Brenda M.
“Brenda has been absolutely amazing as a foster home for our residents at Tails to Tell Animal Rescue Shelter. Brenda has been very successful with our fosters, taking on cats that needed special attention. Whether it was because of their age, expectant moms needing a place to give birth and care for her kittens or needing a home because of behavioural issues at the shelter. All of her fosters have found their forever homes. Brenda has always given the special care our residents needed to ensure they would have a successful adoption. She kept the lines of communication open with our Foster Coordinator and gave updates on her fosters on our private Facebook group. Brenda is very responsible and very loving to all our fosters. I'm sure she had a difficult time saying goodbye to a couple of them. Brenda would be a great addition to the Rover team.”

About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life. I go to a house and something about me makes animals come to me. It must be the great belly rubs. I can be fairly flexible. I can handle some really funky hours, weekends, holidays. I will work towards making myself as available as possible when I can be. My current pet has unfortunately had many recent surgeries, so very used to providing comfort and medications. Lots of playing, hugs, belly rubs and of course, food!
