“Our 16-year old part-feral kitty has a reputation among the many people who have known her - on both coasts of the U.S. - for her whole life. While having her own charm, she is touchy and extremely protective of her personal space. With vets, she is virtually un-treatable. So it was with some trepidation that we hired a complete stranger for the first time ever to look after her for over a week. Naomi impressed us with her professionalism and passion for winning over her charges. We gave her some pointers, crossed our fingers, and left the two of them to sort it out. Within only a couple days our cat went from hissing virulently and hiding for hours, to actually tolerating touch and engaging in play in Naomi's presence. We can't be more impressed and delighted. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little. I was raised with two Bassett hounds, and have owned a lab as an adult. I got her at 8 weeks, so have taken her through puppyhood, socialization, basic training, and know how hard it is to leave your dog with someone new, and how important good people are. I work full time from home, so I have lots of flexibility built into my day. My own dog is fed twice per day and we take walks throughout the day and/or thrown the ball in the backyard. I have 3 girls (15, 12, and 9) who are super responsible and actually pet-sit themselves, so there are lots of opportunities for snuggles and cuddles. I have a half acre lot with a fully fenced backyard, a sweet little neighborhood community with sidewalks, and miles of forest trails nearby when we want to have longer adventures. My home is clean and well-kept and we are very aware of keeping items not safe for dogs out of reach. In a clients home, I will always be respectful and treat your home as well (or better!) than I would treat my own.
