He did well under pressure when our boys accidentally walked through a bunch of ticks. He spent hours picking the ticks off and washing the dogs! Not a tick was found the next day when we came home.”

About: Calm, experienced, loving, empathic and conscientious - I am your dog’s next best friend 🩷 I’ve trained Australian Shepherd’s since I was 13, reaching amateur level junior competitions throughout high school. Today I have two rescue dogs of my own - a border collie mix and a beagle /chihuahua/pit mix (lots of energy). Because of my two dogs, I hike everyday. I love spending time outside in nature with animals, and will be sure to keep your pup happy and healthy! I am an organic vegetable farmer during the growing season (April-November) and work seasonal odd jobs and non profit work when I am in the off season. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and love to walk/hike/swim/adventure at all times of day and during any weather. In my house, pets rule. We have done agility, obedience and scent training with both dogs so I have a lot of tools in my toolbox to keep a dog busy and occupied.

He asked many questions to be clear on our expectations. While away, we received daily pictures and updates on the puppies. “River is my go-to person for cat care! They have a lovely and gentle presence, are a joy to be around, and are attentive and caring with my two cats, Ripley and Boycat. Because of medical issues, my cats eat separate food with a somewhat involved preparation process. River has been amazing at working with their/my needs and keeping them healthy while I'm away. The cats are often suspicious of newcomers, but they took to River immediately! It means so much to be able to leave town and trust that my kitties are being well-taken care of. Can't recommend River enough!”

About: Hi, I am 34 and an animal lover. I have a full time job that is a flexible and I love being outside whenever I can be. I have one rescue dog and one rescue cat that get along great and love other animals. This is a side job/passion project for me that I have been doing for years and don’t plan on stopping. I have 5 sometimes 6 dogs I walk each week and would love to add your pup to my schedule. I am also comfortable with cats and other animals as well.
