At this point, I'd like to watch animals via drop-in visits (dogs and cats!). I'm a friendly, type-A person with a keen attention to detail, so you can depend on me to take care of everything. Beyond standard pet care, I am comfortable walking dogs and administering oral meds. Happy to answer any questions you may have ahead of booking! I work in-office 3 days a week. On those days I can do drop-in visits before 8:30am and after 5:30pm. On my WFH days, I have more flexibility and can also do lunchtime visits. I follow the owners instructions--whatever you need is what I will provide. About: I have over 30 years experience with dogs working with my mother who bred Golden Retrievers since 1990 at Maplenook Goldens. I've also worked through my college years with over 5 families pet and house sitting and loved it! Also worked with Ledgewood Kennels and taken obedience and breed handling classes at Southlands in Rhinebeck NY. I would love to have a part time job and working and training dogs is my dream job. I’ve been working on getting my Dog training certificate to teach classes or work with individuals who needs help. I have two beautiful friendly Golden females that are like my children, both spayed. About: As a retired Registered Nurse and a caretaker for my senior dog, I am comfortable with senior dogs, meds, general assessments and caring for special needs dogs and cats. As a country mom of four children, we had two horses, chickens, four rabbits, three cats and at times snakes and salamanders under my kids’ bed...without knowing…at any time, any of these critters if not already in our house, could be in our house! My longest sit was three months as a ranch sitter in Colorado, I cared for two horses, two donkeys, chickens, three sheep, two lambs, a cat and dog. Currently, I sit locally for friends and family…walks, day care and overnights. I’m available most days to walk, play, sit or just hang out with your pets! I do travel to see family, best for all to reach out ahead of your desired dates and services. I am available on a case by case basis for overnight sits in my home. Currently, I don’t have a dog or a cat which gives me flexibility. My yard is not fenced, I walk all dogs on the leash. I take the lead/instructions from the owners. I suggest we all meet before any service and if needed we meet a few times in order for the pet and parents to feel safe and comfortable.

I work full time do am really only available for house sitting on Sundays(all day and night) and Monday mornings. I am though available for drop in visits or dog walking on other days. If you live local to me and your animal is ok to be left alone while i am at work then maybe I could watch your animal other days during the week. Happy to hang out with pets. I can relate to how special a pet can be, my dog Fluke is my whole world and my goal is to give him the best life possible. With that being said, I will do everything in my power to provide the best experience for you and your fur babies. ♥️ I’m currently working part-time and going to school for my Master’s online, so I have plenty of open time to care and play with your pups! I have the friendliest golden retriever pup who absolutely adores anyone he meets if your pup needs a friend. I follow all safety guidelines to make sure your fur baby and home are protected.
About: Hi everyone, I’m Amanda! Currently a stay at home mom raising my 5 and 6 year old human children, and my 7year old mix and crazy kitten! We’re all avid hikers and nature lovers, being outside is our absolute favorite! I grew up having dogs, mostly mixes and rescues, so I know how to gently approach pets that may have trust issues or who may be shy. With our mix having husky in her, I know all about high energy and how to get them relaxed and sleepy! Walking, running, and hiking are what we use to personally exercise our dogs so I can make sure whatever works best for your pup is what we’ll do! If needed I can be open to at home boarding, but I would first need to be sure they’d get along with my dogs :) Thank you for reading! I'm currently home full time with my kids in school, so I'm available from 9A - 2P (depending on distance) and after 5 during the week, as needed on the weekends. We have a large yard, and lead available for dogs who may need it. Currently our dog does well to stay on our property, she loves walking down to the brook for a dip!

“Janice was the absolute best when we left our mini dachshund Bean with her for a few days over the Christmas holiday. Bean is kind of nervous at times and requires a lot of human love and care which Janice and family provided in abundance. Usually Bean gives me the cold shoulder when I leave him overnight but he was not mad at all when I picked him up. The property is beautiful and Janice was extremely responsive including sending pictures! Would absolutely recommend Janice for anyone needing someone to care for their dogs.
