1. Ron S.
“I boarded my 20 pound Miniature Schnauzer with Ron for a period of ten days while in Hawaii. My pup is an important part of my family and I want him to feel as if he is also having a vacation while I am away. After carefully researching every available boarding option I decided on Ron. I met Ron for a meet and greet before the actual boarding and his responsible and trustworthy nature was evident. Ron also has a beautifully landscaped and secure back yard. Lastly, Ron's Poodle Lily made an excellent companion to my proportionately sized Miniature Schnauzer. In my opinion, the combination of these qualities make's Ron the best choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My schnauzer had a joyous time frolicking and cuddling with Ron's poodle while I was away. Ron did a great job of sending photos. The photos showed that my pup was eating, enjoying time on the couch and even cuddled in bed next to Ron's poodle. I received photos throughout my trip (not just the first few days) and these photos convinced me that my pup was having just as much fun as I was. Ron is a primary school teacher which is an occupation that I have much respect for and is illustrative of his good character. Ron also has a love of plants which is evident in his beautiful green yard with lots of shady places for dogs to rest and play. I was also very pleased that Ron has a dog door that my 20 pound schnauzer was able to fit through easily for constant back yard access. Overall, I do not think there is a better choice for small dog boarding in Tucson. My pup actually seemed sad to leave Ron and his poodle Lily. It was a great opportunity for my dog to socialize and play with another well trained dog. My dog came back happy, well exercised and without a trace of anxiety. In conclusion, Ron is a kind, intelligent, and caring animal lover. I would not hesitate to board my much loved miniature schnauzer with him next time I go on vacation. Ron's tranquil home and general attitude make the experience a vacation for your pet.”
2. Sheila S.
“Sheila was wonderful! We had a soccer event in Tucson & needed a place for our 4 1/2 yo Pomerian mix to stay overnight. Sheila was immediately responsive to our Dogvacay request and able to arrange a drop off that morning. Andy, our dog, was well cared for and I received several pictures/updates on my phone from Sheila. Andy did well with the other dogs and received a small toy gift that he has been playing with at home.”
3. Sylvie C.
“Sylvie has dog sit Milo three times now, this past visit was for a week. She's great. She keeps me posted at least every day on Milo's stay. I feel really comfortable leaving my fur baby with her. Milo is always excited for his stay, right before we pull up to the alley where we drop off he gets so excited and starts barking and jumping around in the car. We definitely will keep her for future stays. Thank you Sylvie for taking such good care of our pup!”
4. Barbara P.
“Strawberry and Peaches stayed three nights with Barbara and were spoiled! They love her place and were reassured that they were safe and happy.”
5. Vicky A.
“I had to leave last minute to Phoenix to help take care of my mom while my dad was away for work. Since the stay home order has been really hard on everyone, I didn’t think I would be able to find someone to take care of my dog. He’s very skittish, and gets stressed out and scared around men, so not many people I talked to could take him. Vicky was AMAZING. She sent me pictures 2-3 times daily and updated me on how he was doing. She even sent me a few videos! I was so scared to leave him with someone he had never met before, but he adjusted so well to Vicky’s kind and gentle nature and let him have exploring time in her home. I will forever be deeply grateful for what Vicky has done for me and Magnum, and her genuine kindness and passion she has for this work! I will be coming to Vicky for any dog boarding I need for Magnum! Honestly, I think if you’re reading this review that you should too. Vicky is incredibly kind and loving towards your pet, and always keeps you updated, so I will repeat with her again!!”
6. Ellen R.
“I’m so lucky that we found Ellen on Rover. It was Dobi’s first time boarding at someone else’s house since we got him as a rescue dog. We only had him for a couple months before having a weekend trip that we had planned before we had him. Ellen was not worried at all and after a meet and greet with her sweet dogs Dobi joined the pack! He is so excited to see her and her dogs whenever we run into them too. I can tell he had the happiest time at her home (which was designed to keep dogs comfortable and safe)! Dobi will be seeing Ellen again for sure!”
7. Victoria S.
“Mac felt right at home from the minute he came in. Victoria has a large, fenced backyard with lots of things to explore and sniff. We left without Mac even noticing, and although he was glad to see us the next day, he was comfortable with Victoria and Richard and had a great time!”
8. Paloma P.
“My pup loved it ! This was exactly what he needed to start to feel comfortable! We will be back !”
9. Pamela K.
“Pamela is wonderful! I felt to grateful and safe that she was watching over my dog, Wiley, while I was away for 10 days. She sent photos and updates daily, truly went above and beyond with his care. He got daily exercise and playtime.Pamela even made him special food when he wasn’t feeling well. I will certainly be in touch with Pamela for future dog birding needs. Thank you so much!”
10. Patty M.
“Patty is wonderful. She's so good about keeping me posted and sending photos of my Coco while I'm away. I know my doggie is in great hands, which gives me peace of mind.”
11. Kayla K.
“My dog had a great time staying with Kayla. Kayla provided a dog friendly and loving environment. I also appreciated her flexibility with drop off and pickup times. 5/5 stars. I hope to book Kayla in the future.”
12. Allura H.
“It was difficult for me to find someone now since I moved, I was lucky to find the best fit for me and my dog, which is so important. They are top-notch in all areas:they sent me pictures and checked in on a regular basis, which is important. Very blessed and happy to have found them”
13. Lesley B.
“I was desperate, my booked boarding was closed down and I found out just days before my trip. I was told of Rover and after joining, Lesley was quick to respond. Our meet and greet went great. My 18 month old heeler is a bit of a rambunctious gal and my older dog can be grouchy. Both dogs got along great with her little mini. I had anxiety about leaving these two anywhere and hadn’t previously boarded them. Lesley assured me all would be well. She was very dog smart and took control of my pup with intent and kindness. The photos were welcome and the dogs had a great time. Thank you so much. When I have to board them in the future Lesley will go to.”
14. Angel C.
“Angel is the best! My mini dachshund Ellie is super attached to me as her “person” which makes leaving her for any period of time stressful. She had to start a new med the day before our family vacation and Angel took all the worry out of it. It was such a relief knowing she was in good hands. I received daily text updates and funny photos. Angel is just like her name implies : ) Thank you for being so wonderful!”
15. Ashley A.
“I couldn’t have asked for better care. I have a very quiet older dog. She was well loved and well cared for. She (they) are well educated in dog nutrition and training. Thanks again Angela and family.”
16. Shannon F.
“Loki had a great time staying with Shannon and Zeus! He looked so happy from the daily, even twice a day photo updates we received from her. Loki got to go on walks with a new friend and play with some different toys! Fast communication and tidy house are important, definitely will book again!!”
17. Nadia B.
“Another amazing visit at Nadia's! Baby Sue settled right in and was happy to be back getting showered with so much love, attention and play time. Thank you Nadia!!”
18. Ashley C.
“Ashley did a wonderful job caring for our dog. He's anxious in new situations and Ashley was conscientious and accommodating, always giving him the space he needed to warm up to being in this new environment. She ran anything in question (like food and exercise) past us first. This was much appreciated, as we had a bad experience when a previous Rover sitter made inappropriate decisions involving our dog without consulting us first. Ashley kept us updated with frequent communication (which I love), along with photos and videos. She also cooked for him and brushed his teeth. :oD We will definitely use her again!”
19. Shanda M.
“DOT has a good time at Shanda’s house. As we drive up DOT gets excited. Shanda sends lots of pictures and share s the adventures of DOT. Highly recommend!”
20. Sheryl & Chandler N.
