“Shawna, has done an excellent job with my two Shih Tzu poodles. She has had them longer than expected and accommodated me through a major surgery that had some hiccups. Her attention to detail with your dog is outstanding. She is an hour and a half for me and his well worth the drive for me to leave them there because I know they’re taking care of. She sends plenty of pictures so you’ll know how much fun your dog is actually really having with her.”

“Quincy had a nice time with Donna. She slept in a large crated area and played in her fenced yard. It was a great spot to board our dog when we stayed in a rental house in the area that did not allow dogs.”

“Megan took care of our two boys while we were away for 6 nights and did such a great job!! We received pictures and updates every day and she was so quick to respond to any messages or updates from us. Super easy to work with and took great care of our dogs. Her dogs got along with ours so well. She’s our new go-to sitter for sure!”

“We were very apprehensive about leaving Doodle Boy with anyone so far from home. The photo's that Penny texted were very calming, He seemed to be relaxed. We were very satisfied. Thanks again for taking good care of hiim.”

“Briggs had an amazing time with Allyson and Tyler! They kept me updated throughout the days with texts and pictures. Will be using them again anytime I’m out of town.”

“Mary was very professional and kind! She checked in with me everyday with photos and updates on how my dog was doing. She was easy to get into contact and fast to respond. Great dog sitter!”

“Nicole and Dexter were awesome! They cared for my dogs extremely well, communicated exceptionally and did a fantastic job of managing an emergency vet visit while I was out of the country. I couldn’t recommend them enough and will certainly be calling on them again when I need”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better person to leave my precious pup with. Angelica was amazing and Winnie seemed to really enjoy her time with her. She was available with only a 2 week notice and she was very responsive. Without asking, she sent me loads of updates. You could tell Winnie was well taken care of and she enjoyed playing with Angelica’s pups as well. I will definitely use Angelica for any future needs we have!!”

About: I have been a dog sitter/cat sitter, off and on for 20 years. I love animals! I treat and love them as if they were my own. Unfortunately, I do not have a fenced in yard, but I have plenty of yard around my home. I prefer smaller dogs, but I am flexible. Must be good with kids! I have a 14 year old who loves animals and can't wait to give them attention they need. I will be happy to come get your dog or meet you prior to watching your dog. I have a full-time job. I leave the house around 8, and I'm home most days by 4:00. My husband will be here to help out as needed. I will walk them, play and care for them as they are my own. I own a large crate so if you are crate training I can be consistent and provide that service.
“Joseph (and his wife) are rockstar pet sitters! They were so responsive, attentive to details, and sent tons of photos. Our little guy had a great time and I could tell he was sad to go! We’re very thankful our Theo had a wonderful place to stay.”

“This was the second time having Jessica watch the dogs and just like the first time it was great. She is easy to communicate with, flexible with drop off times and provides plenty of updates and pictures. Will definitely gave her watch the puppies again. ”

“Jeanie is the best! She took such good care of Eddie Butters! She was great on communication and sending updates! We are so happy we found her! We won’t hesitate to book her again! Thank you so much!”

“Jordyn was awesome!! We left our fur buddy with her and her partner for 3 and 1/2 days and he was so well looked after. She was great about communicating how he was doing and sent some great photos! Will definitely be booking with Jordyn again in the future!”

“Emily had been watching my 2 senior dogs. In 2025, one unexpectedly passed away. I now have a new, younger one and my 1 senior. This was her first time keeping my new one, as well as having a lot of typical cocker spaniel habits. I appreciate her willing to step up to the challenge of my rowdy cs and his quirky way of dealing with the rain.”

“Kirk and Nicole were amazing! I am starting to travel for work and needed to find a solution that I am comfort with and Gizmo is happy. They have a nice yard and Gizmo bonded with Kirk immediately I got pictures a few times a day and if I texted to check on him, the response was immediate. Thank you so much!!”

“Holly was amazing! My babies were taken care of so well & Holly made sure to give me plenty of updates & photos. I could see how happy they were in the pictures. It was the first time we’ve ever used a pet sitter and she made the whole process wonderful and she was so accommodating! I would give more stars if I could!”

“I highly recommend Lanelle to watch your puppy/dog! From the time I dropped my baby off, she was already updating me and letting me know how she was doing. She sent me pics the entire time Aurora was there. Also, they had plenty of other dogs there for her to play with. Plus, there was always someone there with her so she was never alone which is huge for me. I would love to bring her back the next time I go out of town. Very pleased with her level of service!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Zacharytown home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Zacharytown.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Zacharytown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
