About: I have a big heart for taking care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. Even special needs dogs. (I have one that has seizures). If your dog needs a little training I will be happy to help. I am good with grooming. Prayers forbid I should need to use it but i am good with first aid too. I once was a CNA and was trained in CPR too. I let the licence go because I realized I wanted take care of animals, mostly dogs, not humans. I want to follow my heart and feel happy with my life. Dogs are special creatures and should be treated as such. I will even do vet trips for you if needed. I am available almost every day all day except the rare doctor appointment days.

About: I've had over seven dogs in my lifetime most of which are larger breeds but also had medium and smaller dog breeds. I've also raised puppies under a year old. I genuinely love animals and I need the money as a college student. I'm currently full-time college student but my classes are remote this semester so I have all the time in the world to take care of your dogs. I'm always available unless my scheduling states otherwise. I have no other dogs at the time so it will just be me and your pups unless of course I book with others. Your dog will be taking care of with the utmost safety and joy.

Whether they’re playful, cuddly, or a little shy, I’ll make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and cared for just like they would at home! About: Hi, I’m Sarah, a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats! Growing up surrounded by pets, I learned early on how to provide the best care, love, and attention to furry family members. I’m the proud dog mom of two incredible pups: Stella, my energetic Labrador, and Hank, my playful Corgi. Raising them has given me firsthand experience managing high energy, playfulness, and ensuring their health and happiness. Alongside my experience with dogs, I’ve also cared for my father- and mother-in-law’s cat and my sister’s cats while she’s been away. These experiences taught me how to meet the unique needs of cats, from feeding schedules and grooming to providing a safe and comforting environment. In addition to my passion for animals, I have knowledge of basic medical care, including recognizing signs of illness, administering medication, and supporting overall health for both cats and dogs. Whether it’s playtime with pups, snuggling with cats, or maintaining routines to keep tails wagging and whiskers purring, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Let me help care for your beloved pets—they deserve nothing but the best! 🐾 Hey neighbors! As a full-time pet caregiver, I absolutely love what I do! I do have a wonderful pack of my own dogs to care for at home, which is why I truly appreciate advance notice for new bookings so I can coordinate everyone's schedules perfectly. 📅I am always happy to help out with morning, midday, or evening visits whenever things align! You can count on me to bring lots of positive energy and ensure your furry family members get all the love, undivided attention, and top-notch care they deserve! Can't wait to meet your pups! ❤️ Caring for my own pups, Stella and Hank, has taught me the importance of maintaining a consistent routine to keep them happy and healthy. They thrive on their set schedule, which includes two daily walks, either on my street or at the walking track near my home.We also spend quality time playing in the yard. My dogs love meeting and interacting with other animals, and I always ensure their time is filled with exercise, play, and lots of love.

About: I have 15+ years of experience caring for cats and dogs of all breeds and personalities. As a former AKC conformation and lure coursing competitor, I’m confident handling everything from playful puppies to shy or reactive pets. I share my home with four cats, including rescues, so I understand animals with unique needs. I offer calm, patient, and reliable care—no breed or size restrictions, just a focus on safety, trust, and comfort. Most pets, if asked, would prefer to stay home rather than go to a boarding kennel while you are gone. They are in their own home, eating their familiar food from their regular bowl, playing in their own yard, sleeping on their favorite bed or couch. My goal as a pet sitter is to keep your pet healthy, happy, and safe so you can enjoy your time away from home. I visit your home at least twice a day, feeding, checking water bowls, petting and loving, supervising exercise and play time, and handing out treats. I am especially good with senior dogs and have experience getting even difficult dogs to take medications. I also do things like collect mail or newspapers and turn lights on and off so that it looks like someone is around. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I currently work part-time and attend classes two nights a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility for daytime visits, walks, and overnight care. I plan my schedule around each pet’s needs, making sure they get consistent attention, exercise, and affection. Caring for animals is one of the best parts of my week—it’s grounding, rewarding, and something I truly enjoy. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and relaxed by maintaining their normal routines. In your home, I follow your feeding, walking, and playtime schedules closely and keep things calm for shy or anxious pets. In my home, animals have a quiet, supervised space, enrichment toys, and plenty of affection. Whether it’s medication, training, or extra snuggles, I tailor care to each pet’s personality and needs.

About: I’ve cared for birds, chickens, ducks, and dogs—there’s nothing I can’t handle! I’ve wanted to be a vet since Kindergarten, and pet sitting is the closest I’ve gotten so far. I am a college student so I might be out of your house for 2 hours or so but I’ll always let you know. I’m always available to watch the babies. I make sure to take the dogs out frequently and mostly love on the pups if I can’t cuddle your dog/dogs please don’t book me.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Yukon

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 644 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Yukon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yukon. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
