“We are new to the area so did not know anyone to ask for dog care, so I found Elliot totally organically via Rover and am glad I did. Elliot was awesome. We had him house/dog sit for us for close to a week and he was great. Very responsive and understanding when the dates of our trip got moved around. Also he was able to swing by and let the dogs out again when our flights got delayed. The dogs were happy and healthy when we got home and seem like they loved him. We will be asking (hoping) Elliot can dog sit for us again in the future.”

About: I’ve had over 50 years of caring for many breeds of dogs, including my own. I am respectful of others homes and can be trusted to give loving care to your dogs. I am a retiree that has a fairly open schedule and able to spend the night at your home. I may need to leave for an hour two at times for health appts. and going to our home to let our own dog out for a bit. I am flexible on how to care for your dogs in your home, including using a crate. I will respect your current ways of sharing your home with your dogs.

About: Having grown up with a variety of different dogs, and volunteering at shelters, I work well with all kinds of dogs! I have stayed overnight with pets in their own home, but have also just checked in on dogs while their owner was away. I love playing outdoors or going on walks with the pups, and can do short and long distances! During the week I work part-time in the evenings at a local dance studio, but am generally open during the morning and day time. My schedule in the evening is a maximum of four hours, so I could easily check on the animals before and after my evening shift. Always allowing the animal to warm up to me, I have learned to be patient with extremely shy dogs and letting them approach me first. In my own home, I have a teacup yorki and a basenji mix and have loved having both a smaller pup and medium sized dogs. Throughout my time dog sitting, I have learned to respect the animals space in their own home, as some can be particular on which areas they allow guests. I love allowing the dog to get out some of their playful energy at dog parks or simply snuggling up on the couch with pups. I also have my own transportation, if the owners prefer or request I take their pet to the local dog park!

He gave thorough updates with pictures and was always thinking one-step ahead of me (trial walk, key drop off, etc.). When my pup got sick Paul communicated what was going on well and made the same judgement calls I would, which showed me he was truly looking out for my dog like she was his own. About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals since I was 10, including dogs, cats, parrots, chickens, and horses, and have some dog training experience. I just graduated from college, so I have a relatively free schedule as I transition, and would love to dedicate that time to animal care! About: I've been lucky enough to share most of my life with dogs, as well as a cat that worshiped me for about 15 years. I'm able to quickly form connections with animals of all kinds, and have rarely encountered a dog or cat that didn't like me, including several deemed "difficult" by others. I also have experience working in a veterinary clinic that offered boarding services. My time spent with my pets is the most rewarding part of my life, and neighbors often comment on how lucky my dogs are to have me. I'm currently looking for work and have put in applications at pet boarding and daycare facilities. In my last job, I provided support for adults with developmental disabilities, but the work was a little bit too emotionally intense for me, despite it being highly rewarding. My dogs are always on my mind, and I walk them at least three times a day. My schedule is currently completely open, and I'd love to use my time caring for your pets! I walk my dogs, including my brother's dog Rosie,at least three times a day and they receive plenty of engagement with other dogs in the neighborhood. Lila can be difficult with some smaller dogs, so boarding wouldn't really be possible at this time.

About: I’m usually the first person my family calls when they need someone to care for their cutie pets while they’re away. As a grad student and pet owner myself, I understand the emotional support that animals can provide! Pets are family members and I understand what it takes to look after family. I send daily photo updates and report back any information requested. I have experience maintaining training schedules for puppies. I’m diligent at following care plans and requests.
