“Mark was amazing from the day he came over to meet us and our dogs until we returned from vacation. He made sure our dogs were comfortable due to their age. He also Made sure the stayed very close to their daily routine. Mark sent pictures and videos to insure us that they were receiving the best care, and they were! We highly recommend Mark and will definitely use him again. Kevin T.”

“This was our second time using Evie. I cannot say enough good things about her. The pets are well cared for and the house was left emasculate. Grab her if you can (just not when I need her lol). You won’t be disappointed!”

“Kendall did an excellent job watching our pets (two dogs and a cat) for a week. She would go outside with our dogs multiple times a day, and kept everyone fed and entertained, which is no small task with our high maintenance, routine oriented cat. We came back to three happy, healthy pets thanks to Kendall. Would definitely book with Kendall again.”
“Mercedes was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! She communicated thoroughly and consistently. She sent lots of pictures and met the needs that we requested. She made the process so smooth and relieved stress for my husband and I about the well-being of our puppies. When needed she will be our first choice in the future and would recommend her 1000%!”

“Jennifer is amazing!! She stayed at my home with my two fur-babies and was excellent with communication and giving them the best stay-cation ever. I would easily recommend her to anyone!”

“Lily was great! Professional communication, gave us an update and photo while we gone, and left our home tidy. I would definitely recommend and plan to book her service again.”

About: I have two family dogs in my life, as well as briefly fostering another dog in my home. I also have experience dog sitting for family friends. I absolutely love all animals especially dogs! I will be a college student taking classes in the mornings this upcoming fall semester and working part-time. I will definitely have more than enough time to take adequate care of your dog in the afternoons, evenings or on the weekends For my own pets at my house, I only have one dog. She loves to play both inside and outside. We love going to the park on walks, to work with me, or to my grandparents house to go swim at their pond! In a clients home I will take your dog on plenty of walks to get fresh air and exercise. I will make sure they get fed at meal times and that there is water in their bowl. I will give them plenty of attention as well as potty breaks.

About: Hi, my name is Bee and I have a huge love of all animal (and bug!!) species - big, small, furry, scaled, or even venomous - I love ‘em all! I have volunteered at several pet shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centers here in Toledo, Monroe, and in the Cincinnati area. I have had my own pets that I’ve had responsibility for since the age of 14 and have experience with handling senior animals through them, and now own 3 Maine Coons of my own, so I also understand handling some giant beasts! I am comfortable administrating medications as long as instructions are clear and defined, as well as any other necessities for medical well-being. As long as communication is open and clear between us humans, then I will provide the best services I possibly can to your best friend / fur baby / employee / squatter ! I am currently exploring my passions through volunteer work in the community, thus I have a flexible schedule. As long as I have a somewhat notice of time, I should be able to fit you in! I am a volunteer at organizations such as Imagination Station, Metroparks, Red Cross, The Toledo Zoo, and many more! My passion really is making the community a more accessible and better experience for all cultures and people. I would love to help in the aide of pet care as well!

“Katy is an absolute gift to the Rover community. Leaving our dog and cat with a non-family member for the first time was nerve-wracking, but Katy immediately put all our anxieties to rest. From the moment she walked in for the meet-and-greet, our pets adored her. Even my normally shy cat—who usually hides from visitors—came right out to greet her. Honestly, it felt like our pets had known her in a past life; that’s how comfortable they were! Katy is reliable, punctual, and goes above and beyond. She asked all the right questions, sent some of the best photos of our pets we’ve ever seen, and even came early and stayed late to make sure our dogs got extra potty breaks. Her detailed updates and genuine kindness made being away so much easier. I almost hesitate to leave this glowing review because I know everyone will want to book her, but she truly deserves it. If you book with Katy, you won’t regret it!”

“Brian was great with my dog! He sent me lots of pictures and updates which put my mind at ease! I was worried about leaving her with a stranger but the pictures of them playing and her chilling out let me enjoy my vacation. Will definitely be calling on Brian again.”

About: My name is Ashley, I've loved pets and have had them my whole life. I worked as veterinarian assistant for many years. Pets become family and deserve to be treated like family, I'd be happy to give them that love and attention while you’re away. I have done house sitting and dog walking in the past for clients. It's so rewarding! I also have experience administering medications, giving injections and other medical treatments, as well as caring for special needs pets. I currently work a full time job during the week. My weekly work schedule is from 7am-3pm. I am off on Saturday and Sundays My pets are very spoiled and have many of their own dog beds and of course lots of snacks! I can continue the routine with your pets as they are use to.

About: I have been taking care of dogs ever since I was a kid. I have tended to a total of six beloved family dogs from around age 7 to 19 when I moved. Some of my regular care for them included providing fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, going outside, playing, and brushing their coats. I have also administered some medication such as vet prescribed pills, sprays, or ear drops when needed. I helped to train them on basic commands and leash training. I am used to recognizing dog body language, following care instructions tailored to each pet, and sticking to a schedule. Since I am currently in-between jobs, my schedule is very flexible. I am most often available to provide pet care anytime on any day! I can also work for extended periods of time. Typically, my care for pets includes providing fresh food and water, playing, pets, and regular potty breaks. However, different pets have different needs and I am able to provide the care that suits your unique pet!
“This was my first time using a house sitter and Hannah was fantastic! She kept in contact with me and sent pictures of my fur babies. If I need a drop-in or house sitting again, I will be scheduling with her. 😊 Thank you, Hannah!”

About: I have been around schnauzers, and countless other breeds and animals, my entire life. I've raised, cared for, and helped care for one large dog, 5 miniature schnauzers, a cat, a bearded dragon, fish. My first dog was mine at birth. My first attempt to care for an animal was a baby rabbit in the 10th grade, 20 years ago. Sadly, that did not end well. I have helped raise 2 cousins, 3 nephews, 1 niece, and one I consider a niece. I helped care for my grandpa for 6 months in 2011, when he got dementia, and my other grandma, from 2019-2021, also with dementia. I house sat a cat for a week a few years ago. I am allergic to unclean cats, possibly longhair dogs and cats. I've owned 3 dogs, some fish, and recently brought my niece's bearded dragon back to health. I just love animals so much, and would do everything in my power to keep them healthy, safe, and happy. I have an open schedule to be able to do whatever is needed of me, with just other self employment things I can easily schedule around petcare needs. I have an open yard, with a chain, leashes, a food dish, and a lot of dog toys. I do prefer walks, or outside bonding time while on the chain. Treats after coming in are a necessity.
About: I am certified in Bathing, Safe Handling A Difficult Dog, and First Aid and CPR. I have 5 dogs of my own that I love dearly. I have grooming experience and also kennel technician experience. At home I have 5 dogs each a different breed. I love working with animals and have a full time job but a very flexible schedule! I care for all pets as if they were my own. I give them each individual attention and love. Plenty of playtime and cuddles for every furbaby!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodville. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
