“Kirsten and her husband Jeff were great. Zeus had a fantastic time. She sent several pictures and updates. They have a fantastic fenced-in yard. We will definitely be rebooking in the future as needed. Thanks again! :)”

“It was the first time I left Kayla with anyone. On our meet and greet I felt very comfortable with Patti and knew she would take good care of my girl. Patti took excellent care of her. I booked with her because she only takes one pet at a time and she had a fenced in backyard. Patti sent me photos of Kayla fetching her ball which is her most favorite thing. I will definitely use her again.”

“Kristin was great and provided Abby with a safe, family environment with lots of stimulation. It's harder with a puppy who is just learning about life (and where to poo/pee!) and this was an unscheduled trip for me, but Kristin came through. Thanks, Kristin!”

“Rikki was wonderful with our Winnie. Very accommodating and sweet. You can tell she loves animals. This was our first time using Rover or leaving Winnie with anyone. We will definitely use Rikki again.”

“Kaylee knows what she is doing! Monitored and controlled introduction to other dogs to see if they get along. She got our dog, Junior, to sleep in the crate at night (not sure how)!”

“Aimee did an incredible job taking care of my dog! From the meet-and-greet we knew it would be a great match, but she sent lots of photos and gave my dog so much love I didn’t worry for a second while I was on vacation for a week. I’m looking forward to my next trip so my dog can go back and see Aimee and her family again!”

“My original sitter canceled the morning before my trip. I was frantically trying to find a new sitter and Kathleen let me book quickly without hesitation. I am so thankful for that! I recieved messages and pictures while away and I could tell Myles had a great time and was well taken care of. Thanks again!!”

“Leaving behind our 5-month-old puppy for an 11-day vacation filled me with nervousness. After speaking to several people, I found Sarah, who I knew was the perfect choice. Sarah's attention to detail was impeccable - she gathered all the necessary information and maintained my puppy's routine flawlessly. Keeping us updated with photos and videos, Sarah's care provided me with peace of mind throughout my vacation. When our puppy returned home, he was just as happy and carefree as if he had never been away.”

I am a retired school teacher. So I am usually very flexible. With my animals. Currently my. Project is working with. A new toy poodle I got. Training him. In obedience. I have one puppy, toy Poodle. I currently have 4 cats that have rescued. My puppy is doing well. I have had him for a year still working at potty training. In the evening. I usually spend time watching TV with Tallow (puppy). Socialize, socialize socialize! Working with my poodles hair while watching TV also provides bonding time and patience for you and your puppy.
“Dungey had a great time with Susan. He enjoyed running around her large yard with her pup!! Susan and her husband Dave took great care of Dungey giving him attention and treats! Susan was great with communication, she sent updates and pictures. We will be using her again when needed, and would recommend her if your needing care for your pup!”

“Leah is great!! She took such good care of my old boy and also my house! She is great with communication, always quick to respond. I highly recommend Leah. She will treat your beloved pets as her own!”
About: I have done drop in and overnight care for family member's pets for many years. I am a life long animal lover and have cats and/or dogs my whole life. I also did some volunteer care at an animal shelter while in college. I am a stay at home mom of three (9, 7, and 5 year olds) kids who also love animals so I have the availability to provide a lot of time and attention. I have a fenced in yard in a beautiful country setting and two playmates for your pup. Robin is 13 year old chocolate lab mix, who we rescued from the roadside. She gave birth to 8 puppies about 2 months later and we were able to find loving homes for them all. We also have Emmett, who is a shepherd/spaniel mix that we adopted as a puppy during covid. He can be shy around new people, but loves to play with any dog he has met.
“Absolutely amazing, very friendly and amazing with our 2 dogs. She stepped in when a different rover provider could no longer care for our dogs during our vacation. Elysia sent us many pictures and videos and kept us up to date, putting our mind at ease. We highly recommend her and will be booking again!”

“Jennifer was amazing with my Rosie girl. I was so thankful Rosie snuggled up and slept with her. We will plan to come back to this area and will definitely use her. Thank you so much”

“Kelly and her family are super nice, even with my hectic last minute scheduling. The pups went instantly with all the attention they were getting during our first meeting. I got random updates and some super cute photos of them during their first visit with her. Kelly is definitely an animal lover and it proves that she enjoys pet sitting!”

“Sydeney was a pleasure to meet. She took great care of Murphy while we were on vacation. We received photo updates and could tell that Murphy was happy and in good hands. We will definitely keep Sydney in mind next time we need someone to watch Murphy for us.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wilmot home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wilmot.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Wilmot sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
