About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets have always been a part of my family, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

About: Experience with dogs of all ages & breeds, able to provide regular or one time dog walking of any preferred distance & occasional dog sitting as needed! I work as a nurse with a very flexible schedule- able to provide Monday & Tuesday regular visits/walks and Wed-Sun every other week. Can do anytime that works for you! My home has one cat so only able to provide in house visits with cat friendly dogs! Visits in client homes preferred, but can accommodate occasional boarding.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for the majority of my life. I can stop in at any time of the day to fit your fur baby’s needs! I work week on, week off locally and would like to plan visits and walks on the off week which would be a Friday- Thursday schedule. I can come to your place for a stop in visit or a walk with your pup! If you have cats I would be happy to stop in for play time or feed time.

About: I grew up with dogs (1 lab and 2 doodles), and I miss them so much while I am away at school. I have cared for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs since I was in middle school, offering both dog-walking and overnight pet care services. I also have experience caring for salt-water aquaria. I currently work a 9-5 with flexible hours. I am available for early morning, lunchtime, and evening walks. I am also free on the weekends. My apartment is unfortunately not pet friendly, but I do offer overnight pet sitting at the dog’s home. I have experience house sitting for families with pets, and I am more than happy to provide references.

“Beatrice walks our Bernie daily - great communication with us - and we are new pet owners so texting her constantly! We have been working with her for over a month now and feel really lucky to have found her.”

“Alison was communicative and compassionate! Her love for dogs truly comes through. She gave me great updates about her walk with my dog. I would recommend her and will be reaching out again in the future. Thanks Alison!”

About: I have taken care of my own pets and barn animals for 10+ years. My family and friends have relied me to feed, care for, walk, and play with their animals. I love dogs and cats, and have always been used to having them around. I am a full-time graduate student with a part-time job. That being said, I have time throughout the day, every morning, and every evening to stop by and play with your animals! I also have weekend availability. Since I currently do not own my own home and rent from a local in Burlington, I do not have in-home space to host and/or board dogs or cats.

About: Hello! My name is Wren and I'm a college student with a summer internship in DC. I have been fostering dogs and puppies since I was 5 years old. I also have multiple years of pet-sitting experience (both dogs and cats), and I had two dogs and a cat growing up that I was partially responsible for until I graduated from high school. I am an active individual and I love to go on walks and runs. Currently I am available during the day on Fridays and at night the rest of the week. I will have more availability in May because I will not have started my next internship so I will be free every day. In June I am available before and after my 9-5 job and a longer-term pet-sitting option would be my preference. I do not currently have a place to offer for boarding, but I can assure you that I will comply with all house and Rover rules, as well as respect your pet/space and keep it clean.

About: Everyone around me knows how much I love pets. I have helped dog sitting my boss’s dog, and as a first timer, I know I did great! I’m working a full time job, I’m ready for anything after working hours and weekends. For occasional home visits, I can make some exceptions depending on my schedule. I myself have a cat, and I haven’t been able to assess how she would react with other pets so I’m holding off on bringing other pets at my place for now. Otherwise, for the clients, I make sure I observe all safety measures and that I’m giving them all the love.

About: Hi there! I'm a New England native and have been proud to call Burlington, VT home for the past 2.5 years. I absolutely love this community and all the outdoor activities it offers—I'm an active person and enjoy getting outside in any season, especially with a furry companion by my side. I've been around animals my whole life and have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes—from tiny breeds to gentle giants. Growing up with dogs instilled in me a deep love and respect for animals, and that passion only grew during the seven years I spent working with and riding horses. I’ve also volunteered at the Humane Society of Chittenden County in South Burlington, which has given me even more hands-on experience and training with a wide variety of pets and personalities. There I learned about the importance of petting consent, dog walking safety, and canine behaviour and body language. Currently, I have a few regular dog-walking and sitting clients through FPF, and I often help out with family and friends’ pets when needed. I'm available for drop-ins and dog walks in Burlington and surrounding towns upon request. Whether you're looking for a quick visit, a neighborhood stroll, or a reliable sitter while you're away, I’d love to help care for your pet like they’re part of my own family. My schedule: I am usually available Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 9:00am-2:30pm and can be available in the evenings upon request. I am also flexible on weekends. My schedule: *Mondays 9:30am - 2:30pm, 5:30pm - 10pm *Wednesdays 9:30am - 1:00pm, 5:30pm - 10pm *Fridays - 9:30am - 2:30pm, 5:30pm - 10pm *Saturdays + Sundays - I have very flexible timing most weekends. Please message me your requests and I will do my best to make the timing work! I am very comfortable caring for your pet in your home and I have experience with dogs who need additional attention/medication/dietary needs. I am calm and patient and will ensure your pet feels safe and happy!

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs since I was in elementary school and picking up poo since I could walk. I had a stint of being crazy about guinea pigs but family allergies didn’t allow me to ever own my own or bring them home. I grew up wanting a cat but family allergies once again prevented. Neighbors and friends had a large variety of pets so I’ve watched ball python’s, Guinea pigs, cats, fish, turtles, dogs, and birds. I have three dogs and a cat of my own, so while I can not board dogs, I take online classes, so my schedule is pretty flexible. My dogs are crate trained but one is 12 and she is still scared of being locked in a kennel for long periods of time so she is allowed to roam when no one is home. She also thinks the cat is her baby so as long as she can’t get into his litter box they are golden.

Have a doggo that needs a little extra attention, no problem I don't mind hanging out for a few hours, so you can run errands doggo free, appointment that might be long, or just need to escape for a bit. I am flexible between the hours of 8:30am-5pm, if you are in Shelburne village I can be a bit more flexible until 8pm. Overnight stay can be arranged with at least 2+ weeks notice. We have 2 fabulous felines, Zen & Leia, that are our fur babes!! We start every morning with feeding & water changes. Toy & fun, scritches & snuggles, sometimes even a cat nap. Wren T.
“Wren is an exceptional pet and house sitter. She is conscientious, professional and very responsible. She communicates any concerns clearly, asks questions, and follows all of our requests to the letter. She kept our place clean and respected our space. Most importantly, she is confident and competent with our pets. The proof is in the wags she gets when she comes to our home. Even our shy cat shows her affection when she arrives. Wren has been flexible in the past when our plans changed last minute, which was very helpful when we were in a pinch. I would hire her again in a second - you should too.”

David N.
“David adores animals, particularly dogs. I am lucky enough to work in an office where we can bring our pets in at different times. My work sometimes requires me to meet sometimes at length with clients, sometimes who are afraid of dogs so I cannot have my dog in the office with me. David joyously offers to take my dog and without being prompted he will make sure he goes out for pee breaks, has water and is kept comfortably contained. He is amazingly kind, professional and trustworthy. I have known him over 2 years and I trust him implicitly.”

Our dog requires a lot of attention and is very needy, and Stephanie never left his side. She even sent me updates each day about how he was doing. I always knew he was safe and well cared for while we were gone. She’s gentle, loving, patient, and reliable-truly the perfect person to care for any dog!”

Marjule S.
“Marjule is a stellar human with a heart as big as a room. She has an absolute love of pets. Four legs. Two legs. No legs. She will love those babies and give them the best of care.
