Kendall did an excellent job watching our pets (two dogs and a cat) for a week. She would go outside with our dogs multiple times a day, and kept everyone fed and entertained, which is no small task with our high maintenance, routine oriented cat. We came back to three happy, healthy pets thanks to Kendall. Would definitely book with Kendall again.

Wendy was by far the best dog sitter we've had! My house looked exactly the way I left it, my doggos were happy and relaxed, and she communicated consistently and proactively throughout the entire process. Would definitely recommend her to anyone and hopefully our pups will be lucky enough to get to have her stay again when we travel! ?

Our two Labradors LOVE Evie!!! We have booked with Evie several times, and we just got back from a 5 day trip to Jamacia. It is so nice being able to go out of the country, knowing that our dogs are in great hands and being well taken care of, while we enjoy our vacation. Our house is always left spotless, and our dogs are always so happy. Evie is reliable and a great communicator! We will continue to book with her for all of our pet sitting needs.

About: I’m 24 years old, im a part time stna and part time dog sitter! Im a pet owner, I’ve grew up with pets my entire life. I grew up with cats, dogs, fish, goats. I love to care for animals/ people who can’t take care/speak for themselves😇 I currently work a part time, night shift job during the week Tuesday-Thursday. I am available on weekends at ANY TIME for boarding, house sitting or drop-in visits. And during the week I am also available any time after 9am! For any pet they need to be fed, bathed, time to play, let outside to potty and just be a nice companion to them everyday. About: I have had dogs as a family pet since 2008. Currently have 2 dogs who are very loved and spoiled to death 😊 I started off dog sitting for a family member in 2019 with a senior dog, and then a puppy a couple years later. I have also house/pet sit for a family friend for the past few years as well. They have 4 dogs (ranging from 15 lbs to 100+ lbs) and 3 cats. I have a good rapport with both groups and can provide references if needed! I also have experience with sitting a 1 cat household as well for one of my friends. In my household, my sisters and I have potty-trained and skill-trained every one of our family pets (we have had 4 now). I have experience with giving pets medications as they need following the owner’s specific instructions. Lastly, I have walked dogs of all kinds of sizes (miniature pinscher all the way to a Great Pyrenees). I look forward to helping you with your pet needs!! I’m currently working full time Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm. I work at a pretty lenient place that gives me lunch breaks up to an hour and a half long, so in the past if a pet I have watched needs a potty break midday, I can go back on my lunch break to do so. I have availability after getting off from this job as well, so I can accommodate to late nights as well. I don’t work weekends there so I have pretty much open availability every weekend. 😊 I currently live at home with my parents and sisters, so I do not offer pet sitting at my home at this time. I have pet sat for people in different home styles (apartment, single-level home with small yard, two-story home with big yard). I have always followed every owner’s instructions and rules to a T. Every owner has loved my care with their pets and continues to put their trust in me to this day. I have several references that I can provide if needed!

About: My name is Allison and I am "pet parent" to my two rescue dogs, Macy and Mia! In addition to caring for my own animals (both age 10), I have experience with drop-in visits, walking, and extended stays with repeat clients. I have completed several training sessions with my dogs, and Macy passed the Canine Good Citizen test. I also have a personal interest in learning more about animal communication and body language, and I am always looking for innovative ways to train and keep my own dogs engaged in a fun activity. I have a full time job working from home, so I do have some flexibility in my schedule to help care for your animal! Your pet’s wellbeing is my top priority and I will do my best to make them feel as comfortable while you're gone! I may also send one too many pictures to keep you updated! 😁 I work from home full-time but I am free many weekends or random days! Please always check if I am not listed because I may be able to accommodate! I will follow your pet’s routines to the best of my ability. I will keep a watchful eye on them whenever they’re outside or out of the room. I make sure to follow a family’s safety protocols and ask for as many details as possible.

About: Hi! I’m Lily, and caring for animals is genuinely one of my favorite things in life. I’ve had pets my whole life and have also worked at a doggy daycare, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I own dogs myself—they’re very docile and love having friends—so I understand how important it is to find someone you fully trust with your pets. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including anxious pups and dogs with special needs. One of my dogs is deaf and responds to sign, so I’m especially patient, attentive, and tuned in to nonverbal communication. Whether your pet needs high-energy playtime, structured walks, or just a calm and comforting presence, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll treat them like they’re my own—lots of love, attention, and updates so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely excited to meet your pets. I can’t wait to give them the care they deserve! I do work 730-330 M-F but my partner (Jeremy) is home by 2:30 PM every day, and we’re both home in the evenings, so your pet will have plenty of supervision, attention, and company. We make sure pets are never left alone for long periods and always prioritize their comfort and routine. I’m happy to work with your pet’s specific schedule and needs—just let me know what works best for them! Your pet’s safety is my top priority. We have a fully fenced-in backyard with turf, providing a clean and secure space for safe outdoor play and bathroom breaks. Inside, our home is pet-proofed to prevent access to anything unsafe, and we always supervise interactions to ensure a calm and controlled environment. I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs, and I take introductions slowly to make sure everyone feels comfortable. You can trust that your pet will be in a safe, secure, and well-managed environment at all times.

About: My experience: I love all animals and have experience with a variety of pets including dogs, cats, reptiles, and rabbits. There's no dog or cat I don't want to pet and play with! Through a past job I had to interact with a lot of dogs in people's homes and I am good about making them feel calm and earning their trust. I have trained three puppies in my life (Mae, Rosie and Luna). I also do well with cats, even difficult ones. My family adopted a stray cat (Maggie) - She was a bit aggressive and never warmed up to anyone in the house but me. I had a bearded dragon (Lizardie McLizardton) in my twenties. He never seemed to like people much, but he tolerated me and it was fun to make him elaborate large play houses. I understand how small animals have different needs than cats and dogs. I currently have a Bunny (Bernie). I give him a nice comfortable place to live and lots of play time. I've been able to earn his trust over time and he even grooms my head from time to time. Schedule*: Daytime: I am almost always available to do a walk or drop-in during the day on weekdays. Mornings: Usually available for walks and drop-ins after 9-10am Evenings and weekends: My schedule varies, but I am often available on evenings and weekends. *If I'm house sitting, I will make myself available for the times your pet needs. In your home I can make sure your pet feels comfortable. I am patient and I am conscious of things that may agitate them. I am unable to board a pet at this time.

About: I have been house sitting for 9 years and have worked in a dog daycare and boarding facility for 5 years. I've had my experience with horses, chickens, and lizards as well. I have a very detailed and organized schedule that I will always work in things or around anything I absolutely need too. If I ever say no it's only the times I won't absolutely have the time. I do have a Shiba puppy who LOVES dogs so if you ever want a play date he is always willing. I don't have the space for animal care in my own place but I always make sure to treat your home as my own and clean up after myself and will even clean anything needed. FAQs for House Sitting - Williston

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 325 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Williston. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Williston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Williston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Williston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Williston. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
