“Madyson was excellent with my dog Copper! His stay with her and Sparky involved lots of play time, cuddles, and great communication with us! Madyson is very attentive with any needs Copper has. I would highly recommend her!”
“I’m so glad to have found Courtney. She has been absolutely wonderful with my 2 dogs and they are always happy to see her. She takes such good care of them and keeps me posted with pictures and information on what they are up to. I’m very happy and know they are in good hands with Courtney. I can go away and not worry cause I know she is there with them. Thank you Courtney!”
“Kristina is your girl!!! We had an unexpected emergence and had to fly out of state. Kristina responded to our request for a sitter and helped me through the process (I’d never used Rover). She was available for last minute drop off and made me feel comfortable about where our dog was while we were dealing with an extremely stressful situation. She sent pictures of our pup and encouraged us to check in whenever. Squishy came home smelling like she just had a bath and had fully washed blankets. Kristina went above and beyond and we can’t thank her enough for her kindness. 5 stars doesn’t do her justice! If we need help again we know who we’ll be contacting. We highly recommend her services! Thanks Kristina!”
“Amanda and Jack were absolutely amazing! My girl, Onyx, had an issue with her elbow, and they handled the situation with incredible care, compassion, and professionalism. They kept me updated with photos throughout her stay, which gave me tremendous peace of mind, and they even took her on a nature hike so she could enjoy some time outdoors. It's clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. I highly recommend Amanda's services and wouldn't hesitate to trust them with Onyx again!”
“She is amazing with dogs. She even goes the extra mile to ensure my pup is safe with a gps collar when they go to the dog park. She is responsible and responsive and will share pics and check in at whatever frequency you are comfortable with. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for boarding for their pup.”
“Couldn’t be more complementary about Lindsay and her family other than to say that they made Rusty feel like another part of their family. They welcomed him with open arms knowing he had counter surfing issues and separation anxiety. From the photos she sent, it is evident that Rusty enjoyed his stay.”
“Jessica has a wonderful personality. The moment i met her, i knew she would be the right fit for Lucee ( my retriever). Her son is gentle and adorable. Jessica was good about sending me pictures daily and giving me updates on Lucee's day. She has 4 dogs of her own that are also friendly and calm. She will be taking are of Lucee every time i am out of town.”
“Samantha was FABULOUS! My dogs seemed so relaxed and at home with her and her family! I will 100% send my dogs in their own vacation with Samantha the next time my family and I go out of town! 🐶🥰”
“We made a great choice by leaving our 15 week old GSD pup with Brittany for a week. She took great care of her and even bought her a toy. Always updated us about the pup every day for the entire week with pictures and videos. Our pup had so much fun and got a chance to socialize with Brittany's dog and chickens.”
“We were nervous about leaving our dog for 2 weeks since she had only been boarded one other time and it was not a good experience. Raeann was willing to meet multiple times and do numerous test runs before our trip and she was so patient with us. By the time we left on our trip we knew our dog would be in excellent hands and she was! She gave her so much attention and love that we will definitely call on Raeann with no hesitation!”
“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”
“Lisa is a true animal lover. She agreed to a pre visit with my younger Shih Tzu to see how he would do with her dogs and cats. We were going to be away for a week so I needed to know it would work before I left for that long. She took great care of them while we were on vacation. They came home very content and relaxed, no anxiety or exhaustion. She sent me pictures and updates everyday on how they were doing. We will definitely use Lisa again. Thank you Lisa!!”
“Breanna was so amazing with our pup!! She is very responsive, sent lots of updates and photos and videos, and helped reassure us that our buddy was doing well. She is awesome!!”
“Tina was Great and Bella Loved staying there !!! .... She kept me up to date on how she was doing when I was away and that made me feel Soo good. I will Definitely use her again.....!!! ❤️👍😁”
“The girls LOVED their time at Kacy's. They were passed out for nearly a day after they got home. Kacy has two sweet pups of her own that played my my kids the entire time. Will be calling in Kacy again. Thank you!!!”
“Emily and Patrick were great sitters for Nola while we were away attending a wedding. They sent multiple pictures and video updates for us, and Nola had a great time playing with Eli! Thank you so much 😊”
“Sara was perfect. I booked her last minute for the first time and she did an amazing job caring for my dogs, one of which is a senior dog that needs special care. I was very anxious to leave her but Sara was very reassuring and communicated very well. She didn’t miss a beat giving my dog her medications and sent plenty of updates. When I picked my dogs up, I could just tell they were comfortable and had a great stay. Absolutely plan to use Sara again.”
“Beatriz is always the best out there! I trust her more with my dog than anyone else, and my dog always comes back so happy and well taken care of. So thankful for her, she is a blessing to all dog owners!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wilko Hill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wilko Hill.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Wilko Hill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
