âStephanie was the best!!! My pups seemed totally chilled and happy when I got home after being gone for almost a week. I would definitely use her again!â

âAnyu did a great job following directions, providing loving care, sending photos of our pets showing how they were doing, and being willing to pick up some treats that I didn't have time to before we left! We would definitely use her again!â

âSydney provided excellent last minute care for our fur babies. She sent us photos while we were away and made sure both pets got a lot of love.â

âThis was our first time for Jaden to take care of our four legged crew. She was very accommodating with excellent communication. Our furbabies were of course happy to see us, but also acted as though we were coming home from any other Saturday outing and for me, that is the true test đâ

âJamie, is very dependable and wonderful with the babies. She only had 3 this time but received lots of pictures with updates. I wouldnt want anyone else to care for my kids. Book her early bc very one like her and her work experience.â

âSydney was just the BEST! She was so knowledgeable and really took care of our Little Cooper. We loved everything about this sitter. She stayed on top of things to ensure he was safe and well taken care of at all times. Highly recommend this sitter.â

About: Pet sitting is awesome because I want to spend time with as many wonderful pets as I can. I'll treat them just as well as I would like my pets to be treated since I know how important they are. Prior to Good Dog, I would pet sit for family, friends and neighbors. They deserve the best care even the little rambunctious ones. I have been working and volunteering in pet care for years. Interacting with any animal makes me happy but bunnies will always have a special place in my heart. Regardless of whether they have fur or scales I treat my pets, and otherâs pets as family members who need just as much love and emotional care as they do physically. Thank you for this opportunity
About: I have 4 dogs of my own and one cat. I have cared for pets as long as I can remember. My dogs are all house trained and crate trained they also are well mannered and like other pets. I can house train and also train dogs to do certain tricks. I'm 27 years old and own my own home with a large fenced in back yard. My house has no carpet so accidental pet messes can be cleaned easily. I have my own transportation to house sit or dog walk any time I am needed. Thank you for considering me for taking care of your pets I currently work full time split shifts so I can take care of animals between shifts before shifts and after shifts. I have reliable transportation to and from also I have a large fenced in back yard and I currently work in the animal field so I am trained on medication management and also have vet tech experience.
âWe were thrilled with the attention and care Maddie gave our three dogs while we were on a week long vacation. She kept us updated on all of the pups and sent pictures of them during our trip. She has a very good personality and the dogs warmed up to her quickly.â

About: Hey! Iâm Jade. Iâve always been an animal person, and taking care of pets really does come naturally to me. I try to keep things calm, gentle, and comfortable so your dog can settle in and feel at ease. Iâm patient and affectionate, and I pay attention to what each dog needs â whether theyâre playful, shy, or just want to chill. I also have a dog of my own, so I totally understand how important it is to feel good about who youâre leaving your fur baby with. My goal is simply to make your pet feel safe, happy, and cared for while youâre away. I work a full-time job, so Iâm available on weekdays after 6 PM and on weekends any time for boarding, and always happy to help. Due to me living in an apartment, I usually donât take pets into my home if very small children are present. Exceptions can be made if my kids are away for the weekend or if the pet is very small. Iâm also happy to provide care at your home anytime.

About: Iâve spent my entire life around animals! Iâve cared for cats, dogs, fish, lizards, birds, you name it. My dad is a veterinarian so I grew up learning about pet care, how to administer medications, the doâs and donâts, etc. I feel so lucky to do what I love (taking care of furbabies) AND help pay for my degreeđ **My Schedule** Iâm free every day of the week for house sitting and charge $45/night. Iâm also free every day for drop-in visits but only charge $35/visit. Iâm only available Saturday and Sunday for walks and charge $25/walk. I work 8-5 during the week, but I am able to leave for an hour during the day to check in. Iâm somewhat flexible and can make schedule exceptions if necessary! **Safety** I take all animals safety very seriously! I make it a point to be cautious about all toys, objects, and food items pets may encounter around the house. As I mentioned, my dad is a vet, so I have experience with sick and injured animals. If your furbabies have special needs/requirements, be sure to let me know! **About Me** I have two kitties, Ollie and Luna, and love them both so very much! I hope to one day have dogs again but I currently live in a smaller apartment. My partner and I love to take them on walks in their stroller & backpacks. I love to craft, hike, paddle board, and play pool! If you have any questions, please feel free to message međ I currently have 2 cats that I take care of. I feed them each and every day and I clean their litter boxes constantly because even cats can be a tad messy sometimes! I play and cuddle with them everyday and make sure to show them lots of love! When taking care of anyoneâs pets & fur babies, I make sure theyâre comfortable, safe, & have enough toys to play with! When pet sitting, I of course check to make sure they have necessities like food, water, & treats (if allowed). I, myself, have pets and worry about them feeling lonely or missing me. I make it a point to treat anyoneâs pets like my own. Which is why I always make sure to give lots of love and sit and spend time with any pets I get to visit with!
About: Iâve been around and taken care of plenty of dogs since I was little. I certainly have the basic skills to feed, walk, and care for dogs. Ontop of that, I can give medication orally or though shots if needed while youâre away. I have had plenty of experience dealing with dogs and all that comes along with having one. I love animals and enjoy taking care of them and all that comes along with that! I have to clean up after my own dogs and make sure their basic needs are met everyday. This is a task I am responsible of to make sure they are kept happy and healthy! I take the dogs outside to the bathroom or to play as well as giving them water daily. Our yard is fenced in and the animals can not get out. Our dogs know better than to get into things but at time stuff does happen so I make sure nothing is being messed up or chewed into etc. I would do the same for your home just as if it were mine.
About: I volunteer my time to pet rescues and worked as a vet tech for 2 years at riverside animal clinic.i have 2 fur babies of my own and enjoy taking care of others I currently work full time at a dental office I'm off on weekends and have short days on Thursday off on Fridays but I am available to go before work. And after I don't currently offer in-house boarding. But once i have more time that will change, i'm available more for that, I will offer that in the near future.

If pets stay in my home, I make sure they feel right at home from the start. I provide a cozy, safe space with plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, and rest. I follow each petâs feeding schedule closely and make sure they get the right balance of exercise and downtime. I also love spending time outdoors when possible, so pets can enjoy fresh air and play in a safe, secure area. If Iâm caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to keep everything consistent with what theyâre used toâfeeding times, walks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I know how comforting familiar surroundings are, so I give them all the love and attention they need while respecting your space and your petâs habits. No matter where I care for them, I always make sure each pet gets personal attention, plenty of affection, and lots of communication with you so you know how theyâre doing. My goal is to make every pet feel relaxed, loved, and well cared for while youâre away.
About: We have a warm, loving home and are very nurturing. We also have luxury vinyl flooring which makes accidents an easy clean up lol. FAQs for House Sitting - Wildoak
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 100 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wildoak. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wildoak walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wildoak maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wildoak choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
