“Another great experience with Susan. She took such thoughtful care of Homer, especially during the thunderstorm. Susan also treats our home with care while she is here. We appreciate her so much!”

About: I have had dogs and cats for most of my life. I are especially fond of labs and have had several. When the last one passed away around 5 years ago, I have just not been able to replace her. Since I am retired, pet sitting would be perfect( just like the grandchildren… spoil them and give them back!). I have a fenced in back yard and a basement with a doggy door where he/ she can go in and out. I can assure you that your fur baby would be loved and well taken care of. I am retired, so available to give your pets the love and attention you would want them to have. My schedule is flexible including weekends and holidays I have a fenced in yard and a basement/ man cave with a doggy door where your pet could come and go. If you are crate training, that will be okay as well. I also have no pets or small children in my home, as this can be a concern to some.

About: I’ve taken care of lots of different dogs, cats, and even a Guinea pig so I’m great with pretty much any animals. I don’t just do the bare minimum either I always make sure to keep them happy and occupied as well. This is currently my only job so I have all the time to spend taking care of your sweet fur babies, on weekdays and weekends. I’m capable of filling in with any extra things like administering medication if needed and anything else you need me to do for you.
“We had a great experience with Brittney. She stayed at our home with our three pets and took excellent care of all of them. One dog is very shy and timid, and one dog has just had surgery. Brittney handled all the medications and kept me updated on all pets. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring person to look after their pets.”

About: I have 3 cats at home with my wife. We spoil them with everything they need to live a fun and adventurous feline life and we wanna do the same for yours. While I don't have any kind of professional background with pet care, I can make up for it with a lifelong history of loving and caring for my own. Pets are more than just animals but a part of a family. I can guarantee your pet will feel the same warmth and love I've given to mine. Even at odd hours I will be available. I'm currently part time so I have plenty of time to check in or watch your dog in the the day. I'm also available at night. I have a big backyard so I spend a lot of time with pets there. There is plenty of room to run around and play.

About: I’ve been everyone’s, like EveRyOnEs go-to person to call to come let their dog out or to feed/water & play with their cats. I babysat a child for a couple summers and one year the mom had me train/raise their new puppy as well. I’m 26, and I’ve been house sitting for my restaurant regulars, my sister-in-law’s neighbor, and my best friend AND her other friends since I was 14. I now work at a Dental office and I have patients requesting my assistance in caring for their animals (and plants) while they’re away from home. I work best with any pets (except spiders please), preferably with detailed instructions on the ins and outs of how to adequately, and comfortably conform to your pets needs. I adjust my schedule as needed, waking up in time enough to go before my day job and leaving on time to be there as soon as possible. Just let me know how I can help make your life easier! I’m currently full time at Kersey Dental, but I accommodate accordingly to your pets needs and schedule! Doesn’t matter the time of day, I always have the energy to play and care for all the fur babies! I have an a huge fenced in backyard for my dog, Bear to roam freely and give him a fresh bowl of water every time he heads out the door. “Arianna was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly communicative from start to finish, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She was amazing with our dog and even brought him treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. She sent us lots of pictures and updates, and it was obvious he was happy and well cared for. On top of that, she even did a little light housekeeping, which was completely unexpected and absolutely not necessary, but so appreciated. It was such a kind gesture. We came home to a happy pup and a tidy house, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely book Arianna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter!”

About: For many years I've been the go-to choice for friends and family who needed a responsible and trustworthy pet sitter. Considering my life long love of animals big and small, Rover allows me to help pet owners find someone dependable to help care for their fuzzy friends. Whether caring for big playful dogs, proud wary cats, or even sensitive older pets my top priority is always the peace of mind of the pet parent. I work remotely which allows me to have plenty of freedom to care for pets during most people's work hours. The only weekdays that I'm typically unavailable are Fridays during the Fall season. I keep detailed notes for each client's preferences and instructions so that everything goes as smoothly as possible. My top priority is always the peace of mind of the pet parent so whatever rules and routines you already have in place for your pets will be maintained while I care for them.
“Wilma was wonderful! She was flexible and very attentive to Chances needs. Wilma provided great care, attention and fun for Chance. So very happy to have had the opportunity to board with her. Thank you Wilma!”

About: I have experience pet sitting for families I nanny for, especially during holidays and busy weeks, and I’m very comfortable staying overnight in their home to make sure pets feel safe and cared for in their normal environment. I have also house sat for other families where I provided daily care such as feeding, giving fresh water, taking dogs on walks, and making sure they get plenty of potty breaks and attention. I understand how important it is for pet owners to have someone they can trust, and I always treat every home and pet with respect. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my daily routine! I currently work part-time as a nanny on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. My nanny schedule is very flexible and limited, which allows me to still be available for pet care throughout the day when needed. The rest of the week (Wednesdays, Fridays, weekends) I am completely free, so I have plenty of time to provide walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and overnight stays. I’m able to give pets lots of attention and make sure they stick to their normal routine. Because my schedule is flexible, I can often accommodate last-minute bookings and provide consistent care for your pets while you’re away! Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my #1 priority. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby and your home, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I make sure pets are always supervised, cared for, and kept in a calm, safe environment while you’re away. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walking routines, and any special needs your pet may have. I also make sure doors and gates stay secure, leashes are properly used on walks, and your pet stays in familiar areas where they feel comfortable. Whether I’m doing a quick drop-in visit or staying overnight, I treat every pet like my own and every home with respect. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy the entire time.

I’m currently out of school for summer break till August 7th. Any day of the week you need me, I should be available to assist. I care for all pets with the same amount of patience that I give my own. If you ask me to let your dog out every few hours, I’ll let your dog out and play fetch. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whitfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whitfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
