About: I’ve owned dogs most of my life and raised two wonderful lab puppies. I’ve cared for friend’s and family’s animals and have a calm patient approach to animal care. I’ve even had hamsters and chickens. I’m currently establishing a homestead with my two cats and ten chickens and working part time. I’m looking forward to growing my animal flock further in the next few years. Safety is my first priority so I make sure that I understand your animal’s needs and tendencies before coming in or out. Once I’m sure we are safe then it’s time to have fun in whatever way your pet likes. Some want a comfy snuggle and some need to work off some energy. I’m there for them.

About: I grew up on a farm taking care of all sorts of rescue animals. I care for animals for additional income to help support my pursuit as a professional cyclist and because I love providing owners' with peace of mind while they are away and pets with positive experiences in the absence of their companions. I'm acutely aware of the varying needs and personalities of animals due to the ones I have taken care of over the years; I love meeting them, learning them, and responding to them. I have cared for puppies to senior dogs and dogs in full health to those with ailments such as spina bifida who are paralyzed from the hips down. I'm comfortable meeting and caring for all these things and more. I look forward to providing the highest care for animals for their owners and getting some happiness from the pet in return! I am a cyclist, so I am home most, if not all of the day and primarily leave the home only for rides (I have the ability to bring a small trainer and ride inside as well). I am very flexible when it comes to the needs of your pet in terms of time spent alone. I have a pet friendly home that will allow your fur baby comfort and relaxation while you are away. I am equipped with many if not all of the items needed for your furry friend to be completely taken care of.

About: We've cared for animals in many ways over the years & have loved each and every one of them. We have a 10 year old daughter who adores animals and will be sure to be a good companion for your fur baby. We own a kayak business, so we only really work in the summer. Come summer time, we spend most of our time at the beach, which is within a mile of our house. We have a large back yard, not fenced, but it does have a runner that stretches almost the whole yard. If you have a cat, we have 2 big play towers and a litter box.

About: I absolutely adore my senior cat, Simba as well as my lovable mixed Labrador named Diego (pictured in my profile pic). Currently we spend all day home, going for walks, playing fetch and cuddling on the couch. We both would love another furry companion to join us! We can explore my woods and field after a fresh snowfall, sniffing all of the critters’ footsteps. We can make snowballs and play fetch. We can do tricks for treats. We can curl up on the couch and watch a Dog’s Purpose together. If I’m cooking my own food I’ll make sure you get a food scrap paying attention to food allergies. Diego and I would love to watch your dog (or cat) while you’re out of town, or simply need an afternoon alone to shop or clean. I’m flexible to your needs and pricing! I’m disabled and unemployed and am looking for part time, flexible care for your pets! The best part: If something comes up and you need someone asap, I’m your girl! However due to my disability I can’t commit to recurring bookings. The backyard at my home is doggy approved; I have a 4 city lot yard with woods and a field for exploring on leash (or off if owner is comfortable), ravine trails across the street by the college, or if we are feeling adventurous, coal dock beach walks or the dog park! I look forward to meeting and caring for your fur babies! I’m disabled and do not work full time, so I’m always around the house! Having pets of my own creates an atmosphere of constant routine care. My animals may get sick of me lol Your pet will feel at home, from the many comfy pieces of furniture to snooze on, to a backyard of exploring and constant love, cuddles and play time!

About: I've been a cat and dog owner for 30+ years. Comfortable with clipping nails and bathing cats and dogs as well as potty training puppies. Bathing and clipping nails will be an additional cost. Open to caring for exotic pets. I have plenty of time to love on your pets while you work/play. Available for house-sitting or drop-in visits 24/7, with only brief moments away from the home for meetings/appointments. I have a labradoodle, Peaches who gets along well with other cats/dogs. She stays home when I house-sit. I am (somewhat painfully) familiar with bathing dogs as mine loves to roll in various smelly/dead things. Also quite familiar with "de-skunking dogs and clipping both cat and dog nails.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life- grew up on a dairy farm in Northern VT. My family consists of three rescued dogs and a rescued 18 yr old cat- Betelgeuse. I have experience with many different breeds of dogs, am comfortable with medication management and am very reliable. I work Monday-Thursday from 730-5pm. I am available all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday for pet care and can be available in the early morning and evenings during the week. I will care for your pets as if they were my own. If caring for a pet outside my home, I am fastidious with details, safety oriented, and believe that exercise and attention is necessary to help reduce anxiety when a pet’s main caregiver is absent. If you are looking to board your pet in my home, I have a fenced in yard and three fur babies to keep your baby company (my cat does not go outside or really interact with dogs) Can crate upon request. I prefer to care for fur babies in their own homes initially- I have a small baby at home so I am selective as to who comes to my home.

About: I have grew up with dogs all my life ranging from a tiny Australian terrier to a powerful German Shepard. I raised my own puppy while being an athlete in college along with my partner. Now I work a part time job while taking care of my now adult miniature schnauzer, Apollo I’m currently working part time and I’m available mostly Mondays-Thursday while taking a class on the side. I am fairly available through out the entire day, but I do have errands to run throughout the day meaning your beloved dog will be left alone anywhere from 1-4 hours during the day. I have a fenced yard and a friendly and energetic miniature schnauzer. I will feed dogs separately and provide individualized attention. I am also comfortable giving medications. If wanted, I will provide photos, updates, and answer any concerns you may have.

About: I’ve been fortunate enough to share the entirety of my life with wonderful animals both large and small. Growing up my household always consisted of at least one dog and cat, and my parents certainly allowed for more than a few exotic pets. I was able to love up on rats, snakes, chickens, and chinchillas, to start what could be a seemingly endless list. At 16 I adopted the first dog that was solely mine, my beautiful girl Esther. I learned very quickly that as a puppy-mill survivor she was prone to severe anxiety and reactivity, which we managed together. Esther was a very rapid introduction to responsible ownership. She led me down a rabbit-hole of training, behavioral modification, and learning how to be the best advocate for her needs as possible. I am grateful daily that this little lady taught me so much; I have since worked in animal shelters, dairy farms, done volunteer-based rescue work, and most recently worked as a veterinary assistant. The skills that Esther and I learned together have grown with me, quite simply I love working with animals that are disadvantaged. My current pack consists of 2 dogs, Esther and Honey, and 2 special needs cats, although I have been so lucky as to have loved and lost 3 senior pitties during their golden years. My cats, Fresno and Sinclair, came to me a few years apart, each struggling immensely with their health. Fresno was born with essentially the feline version of Spina Bifida which causes an odd gait and complete incontinence. He wears baby diapers and is the frequent recipient of baths… thank goodness he is so tolerant. Sinclair was struggling to survive when he entered my home as an emergency foster. After months of rehabilitation, full-mouth extractions, and a whole lotta love, you’d hardly be able to tell he’s the same cat… at least if you ignore his propensity for gnawing on people. While working as a veterinary assistant throughout the past few years I have learned valuable medical knowledge and skills that have assisted me both in the care of my own animals and others’. Being able to read an animal’s body language is a highly valuable skill in the field and I pride myself on my ability to do so. Alongside this, being comfortable with a variety of hands-on skills (administering SQ/IV/IM medications, proper restraint/handling, etc), and closely monitoring the well-being and condition of animals under my care are all necessary components of the job that translate into pet-sitting. I understand that pets, owners, and routines are highly individualized – whether your animal needs medications administered, extra time and patience while getting to know them, or someone to spot potential triggers on walks before your pup does, I would love to get to know you and become your pet’s newest best friend. I am currently doing pet-care full time while working on household projects. I am able to be highly flexible with my schedule and adjust my routine based on your and your animal's needs. For stays at my home I require an introductory meeting in neutral territory beforehand. Animals must be tolerant of sharing their space with other dogs and preferably cats, however I am able to accommodate separate living spaces for different species during your pet’s stay. I am more than happy to integrate an extra crate, bed, or whatever makes your pet feel at home!

Melissa is a wonderful caretaker of any and all animals in her life. Growing up in a small-town agricultural community, she worked on local farms from a young age and throughout her teenage years, caring not only for the working animals but also for the dogs and puppies that accompanied them. In college, she supported herself via dog-sitting and dog-walking, providing not only professional, conscientious care but also excellent company to the pets she cared for (including mine! - she spent extra time playing and cuddling my Riley when he was lonely because his brother was out of town). Melissa understands that dogs are our best confidantes and companions and as a result loves her work taking care of them.

Amanda is a wonderful dog mom herself. She has a very well behaved, sociable dog herself and watches my little peanut (Red Heeler) all of the time. Amanda is very good with the dogs and sees to it that get plenty of outside time playing fetch and just being dogs. She is my only overnight sitter.
