“Chris and Kelly are extremely sweet, understanding, loving and caring. If you choose them as a sitter your baby will be in safe/loving hands. I look forward to using their services again!”

About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for about 10 years now, through my friends, family, neighbors and my own 2 puppies! I’m a college athlete who’s very active, so I’m happy to run/play and keep energetic dogs exercised while also making sure they feel loved, safe, and cared for! Pet care has always been a part of my daily routine, caring for my own two dogs! However, I’m a college student now, who lives an hour away from home, but I’m back for weekends and have plenty of free time to care for pets! I provide a safe, fun environment for pets. I have a fenced yard for running around outside, and two friendly dogs who would love to make friends! I closely supervise pets and will follow all instructions/special requests strictly from owners!
“We were visiting Tifton, GA for a few days and wanted to find a sitter where our 2 year old active black lab could run and play and enjoy the day while we were sight-seeing. I requested the stay the day before and Michelle responded to my request within 15 minutes! Even though Michelle was 30 miles away from where we were staying, it was worth the travel to have a family so loving and attentive to Gus! Their home was perfect for Gus! Big wide open space to run, another friendly dog, Roscoe, to play with, and a dog-friendly home that met all his needs. If we are in this area again, we will definitely contact Michelle!!”

“After our meet and greet with Toni and Diego, my fur babies, Eva and Ezra enjoyed their first daycare today with Toni and Diego. Eva and Ezra had a great day and can’t wait until next time with their new cousin Diego.”

About: I have had animals my entire life. I love taking care of them and filling their lives with lots of pets and love. I currently have 3 dogs, ranging in ages 1-12. I have experience with reactive dogs, puppies, cats, and senior dogs. Excited to take care of your fur baby I’m currently a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. I’m currently on summer break so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies. It is very important to me that all animals are safe and well cared for. I will follow all your instructions including walking and feeding schedule, as well as giving medication timely “ if applicable”.
“Laura did a great job with Beau- we did our first doggy day care with her. She has 3 other dogs of her own- I think Beau enjoyed playing with some (all?) of them. She sent pictures and was very responsive and flexible with timing. I appreciated it!”
“I had a last minute event come up and needed a next day sitter for Coco. Roxsand was very accommodating though it was last minute. She adjusted her schedule for us even though I was at her house at 6am. Roxsand also sent several photos of Coco throughout the day. I'm very appreciative of her time, care and professionalism and Coco looks forward to coming back very soon for more fun! Thank you!”

“Brittany is very professional and takes Her responsibility seriously. She has really responsible high school children who assist her with raking care of the dogs in her care!”

About: I've been in veterinary medicine for 12 years. I am comfortable around all pets, no matter the breed or personality. I have two giant breed diggitys and I understand how hard it is to find safe care for your fur babies. We live in a noise free environment , zero cars, zero sirens etc. I am fear free certified and can handle nervous nellies and their needs very well. I'm currently working remotely and homeschool. The house is full of good energy. Since we have children and other pets/animals we are up as early as 5am in the morning and last walks are around 8p. If it is a weekend and we are staying up later in the night than walks could be as late as 10pm. It does depend on the pet also. My dogs are pet friendly however because of their size some other dogs don't take to them. My personal dogs have their own room and crate. We have multiple free spaces for up to 10 dogs small and or 5 dogs small/medium large. We live on 73 acres with 4 hiking trails. The dogs and ducks definitely get their exercise. If you have a senior pet or a pet that does better away from children or other pets, we can accommodate that as well. I am currently working remotely with some days in clinic. Between myself and my nephew someone is always home. We also homeschool so the house is always active. We have tons of space so if your pet doesn't do well with "active" we can accommodate that as well. With all the land and space we can easily go on 4-5 mile scenic walks. We can also let dogs who have name recall roam free (supervised). We live on 73 acres, very secluded. Our noise level is zero. There aren't cars driving by, sirens etc. We have a few hiking trails that have been cleared. We also have a room specific for dog sitting in our home. We can make it feel like home or have the approach of a normal boarder. We do ask that all pets are at minimum rabies vaccinated. This is the only vaccine legally required in the state of Maryland. We also ask that for boarding , you provide a favorite toy and t-shirt to help minimize anxiety and stress. We have calming plug ins in certain areas of the house to help decrease anxiety as well.
About: Hello, I’ve been caring for pets since I was 16. Mainly my own and my neighbors animals. I have had nothing but good reviews from them all! I currently do online school and am home all the time because of that. This leaves a lot of quality time I can spend with your animals. I have a single dog at home that is very friendly to keep your doggies company. If you have specific needs for your animals then I will make sure to follow them no matter what.

“Nina Love Cindy and her family since the first day. Nina felt at home and she was excited to see Cindy the next days. Cindy maintained communication with us a couple of days before the booking and she sent me a couple of updates every day. She took Nina for walks, plays in the park and she went above and beyond while taking care of Nina. We and my family enjoyed our vacation time knowing Nina was in good hands. If you’re in the area or live in the area and you want your pet to be safe and taken care of I recommend you Cindy. Thank you again!”

About: I have six years experience caring for my former pet beagle. I don’t have any dogs in my home but I do have two children. I love animals and I look forward to meeting you and yours! I love dog walking and being outdoors. Although I’m available for part time work I currently have limited availability based on the specific days. Please contact me and I would love to discuss the details. I look forward to hearing from you! I have a large yard and live in a neighborhood with plenty of areas for walking. If you chose to have your pet stay in my home we have an open concept home so they will checked on regularly.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 3,864 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across White Landing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your White Landing commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
