“Oh my goodness, I can't say enough about Jamie and what an amazing and wonderful sitter she is. Rover only allows me to give 5 stars but she is worth so much more. She is so caring and loving to your animal and so responsible and attentive to not only your pet, but your home and all that goes with it. Our boy absolutely adores her as do we! Oh, and she takes fantastic pictures and A LOT of them. That along with a very detailed and thorough rover report card make travel and being away from your pet so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Seriously, if you are looking for a sitter book her! I promise that you can't do better.”

About: I've always loved taking care of animals and have been surrounded by pets for as long as I can remember. I truly enjoy making sure pets are happy, healthy, and well loved whether that means feeding, walking, or just spending quality time with them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, and small animals, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I spend a lot of time at the dog park with my own dogs, especially my high energy pup who needs plenty of exercise and playtime. I understand how important it is for active dogs to burn off energy in a fun and safe environment, and I bring that same care and attention to every pet I look after. I'm a school photographer, which means I work seasonally and have a pretty flexible schedule for most of the year. This allows me to be available for pet sitting, especially during off-peak months. I’m reliable, love animals, and happy to help care for your pets when you need it! When pet sitting, I prioritize safety by carefully following any instructions you provide, keeping pets in secure environments, and making sure they’re never left unattended in risky situations. I build trust through consistent routines, gentle care, and regular updates to pet parents. I also create a calm, familiar environment by maintaining pets’ daily schedules, offering plenty of affection, and ensuring they feel at home even when you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of small and large dogs that my parents have. I was grown up with them so I could play with dogs like friends. I’m currently working as a full time during week days. So I’m just available during weekend for pet cares. If trust builds as time goes by I can care them in the place within 10 miles from my home after 6pm on the week. I can feed pets well, play with them actively and take a walk for potty. I have experienced potty walks for my roommate’s lovely Retriever.
“I highly recommend Amanda for pet sitting! She looked in on my two male cats while I was out of town for the Christmas holidays and I can’t say enough good things about her care for them. They warmed up to her very quickly and seemed to enjoy her visits. She is a great communicator and sent me daily updates, pictures and videos of them. I will definitely ask her to be their pet sitter next time I travel.”

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs and cats since I was a teenager. I am very responsible, and have had to administer certain meds like insulin before. I will treat your fur babies like they are my own! I have a couple of part time jobs that are very flexible and can work into my schedule whatever I need to in order to help you out. Currently I have a senior dog and a cat. My home also includes my mother's two cats. We switch on and off feeding, walking and taking care of the 4 pets.
About: I've taken care of many types of dogs through the years whether it be my own or friends. I'm experienced and reliable. I will treat your dog like family. I'm currently working part-time, so my availability is flexible seven days a week. I will make time for your pets and treat them as if they were my own. I have a fenced in back yard for your dog to safely run and play. If needed I can crate your dog or if housetrained, they can free roam.

About: I have experience with all walks of life when it comes to animals. From fish to farm animals. I have two cats and two dogs and chickens and goats and pigs and ducks. Along with house birds. I am currently not working. I am a stay-at-home mom. So my schedule is pretty open. Especially to boarding I have the space for it. TimeWise I do work around my toddler schedule for dog walking and Cat sitting. I have a fenced in backyard. A very large house. I also have four kids that love animals. So an animal that loves kids would be preferred. But not completely out of the question if there is a child issue I can just keep my kids away from the animal. Pretty easy to fix.
“Ally was so great to work with and our dogs loved her. She was great at communicating and I knew the dogs were being well taken care of. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Becca did a great job looking after our dog, 3 cats and 60 fish. She followed our directions, asked questions when she wasn't sure, and took lots of photos to keep us reassured. She also gave Spartan a bath. It was so nice to return home to a pleasant smelling dog! We will definitely book Becca again!”

“I have never felt more comfortable leaving my dogs! She was an angel. I have big dogs that tend to bark quite a lot and she immediately was able to calm them down and bond with them. Sent numerous photos throughout the entire time we were away and gave plenty of updates. I would not go to anybody else!!”

About: I’ve taken care of lots of dogs, considering I used to work for a doggy daycare/ boarding center. I’ve seen dogs from small to large. Also I’ve met the calmest of Great Danes and the spunkiest of chihuahuas. I know how to give good care to your dogs, from good playtime, to scheduled feedings, even to picking up their poop. I have got you covered. I’m currently a high school senior/college student! I am actually a full time dual enrollment student, and I’m completely online. Which pretty much means my schedule is open 24/7. I am here for all your pet care needs. I will try and make your dog as comfortable as possible, not pushing any interactions with them if they are a bit nervous. I want to make this a very calm and soothing environment for your dog while I am around. Including keeping them safe and healthy, and especially loved.
“Couldn’t ask for more! Gave the important details for updates and gave the pics I wanted. Even went the extra step to clean up after my dog when she didn’t have to. Looking forward to using Ashlynn on my future vacations!”

About: I was a nanny for many years and not only took care of kids but also of their dogs , cats and house . I have a passion for animals and love spending my days with them . I’m a certified dog groomer and canine massage therapist . I am currently working a part time office job for an IT reseller company , but I am pretty flexible if I know a day or two ahead . I’m always on time and will treat every pet like it’s my own . I am a big runner and like to stay active so the more walks the better . I follow your rules and will make your pet happy

About: I’m very experienced in caring for animals having grown up around them since I was a kid. I regularly house sit for my friends cats and dogs so am comfortable around both. Im more than happy to take care of any size dog. Grew up with everything between Great Danes and Chihuahuas! I currently work full time so boarding through the week will be tough if you aren’t comfortable with your pets being by themselves through the work day. That being said, I’m very prompt in returning and, with no pets of my own, your pet will have all my attention. I am totally available on weekends for in house stays or keeping them at my apartment. For those looking for their pets to stay at my apartment, there is no yard but long sidewalks that I already walk daily. So incorporating your pets into that routine is easy. I have a locked closet to seal away any food or goodies you may send and am careful never to leave anything that could be potentially hazardous. Lots of play will be on the menu and maybe some Netflix.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,110 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across White. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
