“It's hard to put into words how amazing Kathy and Tim are. I think my wife said it best when she said they weren't watching our dog. They were CARING for our dog. Please do yourself a favor and stop scrolling now and book a reservation with this amazing couple. I really do believe this was the whole reason why Rover was created. To be able to leave your loved one in the care of someone who will love them just as much. We were able to enjoy our time away and receive continuous communication about our dogs stay with Kathy and Tim.”

“5 STARS - Kelly is an outstanding Dog Sitter. This was our first experience using Rover. We feel very fortunate to have found Kelly. She is a professional in her field that genuinely cares about the safety and well-being of the pets she brings into her home. The drop-off was smoother than we could have anticipated, which made driving away and the start of our trip relaxing and worry free. We quickly began looking forward to Kelly’s daily updates. It was clear to see from the pictures we were not being missed (which is a good thing). The outdoor experiences and newfound friends Quinn was exposed to made for very exciting times. We could tell from the stories and pictures shared with us that he was having a blast. We highly recommend Kelly, and will turn to her anytime we are in need of boarding in the future. Not only does she offer an environment superior to any crated or caged boarding facility, she engages her dogs in regular walks and activities for exercise and enjoyment. This was one of the first times we can recall while away not being concerned about how Quinn was doing. We felt assured he was in good hands and enjoying every minute of his stay with Kelly.”

About: I have had pets my whole life. I have had many dogs and some cats as well. I can train puppies, have lots of patience with them, and can love on them all day long. I have 2 dogs. Someone is always home, so pups are never unattended. We have a 11 year old daughter as well who loves animals and loves to help care for them. We have 3 acres of land, and a log home. We have a cable to hook up dogs who like to wander, but can allow dogs to run loose if they are well trained.

“We are so glad we found Pamela because she provided a wonderful home-away-from-home for our pooch. We received several photo updates each day, which was very reassuring; we could tell he was well cared for and happy. He came home more relaxed and not exhausted like he is when he goes to a kennel. We'll definitely bring him back any time we go out of town! Great experience!”

“Beth watched our dog for over a week. She took excellent care of him and was extremely professional to work with. She had clean, comfortable amenities and was very conscientious about his needs. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Tara was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. This was the first time leaving our dog with a sitter so we were nervous. Meeting Tara she put us at ease and I knew she was the right choice. She frequently updated us and sent pictures. She took such great care of our dog. We will definitely be booking with her again and recommending her to family and friends.”

“Our Arlo loved spending Christmas with Auntie Amanda and her family! Amanda provided a perfect home away from home experience for our boy. At her house he had other doggy friends to play with, lots of toys, cuddles, and exercise. She even took excellent care of him with his medication and feeding schedule. Thank you so much Amanda!”

“Callie and Chloe stayed with Amanda for 3 nights while we visited the beautiful sights in Watkins Glen. I especially liked that she actually has a connection to a local vet. The pups seemed very happy and well cared for. She is very pleasant and was cooperative with some changing times.”

About: Hello! I recently moved here from Maryland. After losing our pup in 2023, we decided to wait a bit and last year, added two new fur babies to our house. I really missed that energy in the house. I have had pets my entire life & love my fur babies. I have 3 biological children & 3 step and all of them are animal lovers too :) Having just relocated, I have a pretty flexible schedule and am very open to helping with your needs for your fur baby. I do work a full day on Tuesdays and partial day on Wednesday’s. I will be happy to follow your instructions and schedule for your pet in your home or during walks. I am very courteous of others property and would treat your Home and pet as if they were my own, if not better.

“Arianna was so amazing watching Granger for me!!! I was visiting the Fingerlakes with some friends and couldn’t bring Granger on a dinner cruise we wanted to do. Arianna was very sweet and wonderful, answering any questions I had over the phone before the trip, being flexible about drop off time when we were running behind, sending pictures of Granger while we were out, and allowing for a late pick up time after our cruise. She was always quick to respond and Granger was well taken care of! Would definitely recommend and will be messaging her again if I’m ever back in the area!”

“Tucker was very happy with Bill &Emma . Wasn't to excited to see me when I picked him up . They sent lots of videos and pics of Tucker's stay with them. Will definitely use them again ,very pleased with the care they gave Tucker.”

“I had a great experience with Jessica with my pups! Prior to booking, she was very responsive and even was open to a meet and greet with my pups and hers. During the stay, she sent photos and provided updates! I can always tell if my pups had a good stay with a sitter based on how they act when I pick them up. They both appeared calm and happy and one of them seemed to want to stay and play! I will definitely be using Jessica's service again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all age and sizes since I was a child. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to do anything their pet needs while they’re away. In the future I’m looking to take a dog training course and slow transition into that as a full time job. Every morning I wake up and immediately tend to the dogs and let them outside to use the bathroom and play around, then we come Inside to eat breakfast to start the day. We go outside about 3x daily to potty and play. I have a big privacy fenced in yard for play time. I have 4 dogs of my own. However I typically do not let them converse with my boarding dogs unless known that they are friendly.

About: My dogs and I are ready to watch and play with your pets! We love meeting new friends and are more than happy to accommodate you. I'm currently working from home and am generally home all throughout the day to play with and hang out with your pets. If I have an errand to run, I can always let you know ahead of time. We have a fenced in area for the dogs to play and splash if they want! If I do leave the house, I generally crate my dogs and would also crate your pet if you need. If the pet is fine to be out and unsupervised, that is fine too.

About: I engage in ongoing education to ensure that I have the tools and resources to provide the best services to keep your pets happy and relaxed while they are in my care. I am currently midway through my hours towards being a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CCPDT-KA). As a marriage and family therapist, I know that pets play an important role in the family! My ongoing education has included classes on animal behavior, LIMA compliance, and canine communication. I train and participate in therapy dog work through Pet Partners as well as AKC sports with my own dogs (including Conformation, Rally Obedience, Trick Dog Titles, Scent Work). I was a volunteer kennel assistant at the Luzerne County ASPCA from 2011/2012 and provided training walks with large and medium breed dogs. In addition to my pet experience, I am also familiar with service dogs and their unique needs through my ongoing doctoral research at the University of North Dakota. Please note that I currently work a day-job so I am only able to watch pets that are able to be alone for approximately 5 hours at a time. Advanced notice is appreciated as it allows me to adjust/extend my workbreak to visit your pets during the day. Because of my health concerns and also keeping your pet's safety in the forefront, I will not walk dogs in outdoor environments if the weather is above 80f. I will be happy to take your dog to a pet-friendly store with air conditioning or a dog park where I know water is available to keep them active and moving while also being mindful of limitations. When caring for your pets in your home, my goal is to ensure that you can travel stress free! In addition to sending regular updates of my time spent with your pet, I make sure your pet is experiencing regular exercise and playtime and fed during your preferred scheduled times to ensure that your pets "Staycation" is also stress free! As of March 2025, I am able to provide sitting services for dogs from Thursdays through Sundays when remote work is possible. We are able to accept crate trained dogs of any age. I am able to pick dogs up from Wednesday evenings and return home on Sunday evenings if transportation poses challenging. We follow owner's feeding schedule and try to meet (or safely exceed) normal exercise to make sure your pet has as little disruption to their schedule as possible--this might include a long walk down the road by our home with plenty of time to sniff along the treeline, a vigorous game of fetch in the yard secured to a 100 foot long line, or some gentle training and playing with toys in doors. I will schedule a meet and greet in advance of pet sitting. I will ask questions about your pet, your pet's routine, feeding, play preferences, and any health concerns. At the end of the meet and greet, if it appears I will be a good fit for your pet's needs, I am happy to schedule a visit to our home and book with you! For this reason, I prefer scheduling at least (1) week in advance. I do my best to follow your routine and schedule to keep things calm and relaxed for your pet. Often, we will increase exercise (if safe for your pet's health) and play so your pet is happy to sleep and relax while you are away. Pets staying in our home have access to a 1.5 acre property where we spend plenty of outdoor time for fetch, playing tug or with other games, having sniffing scavenger hunts for enrichment, or walked down a peaceful road. Dogs are leashed, tethered, or attached to a long line each time we go outside for the stay. As we do have other animals in the house, pets will need to be crate trained in order to stay with us. Pet guests staying with us will be safely crated in our guest bedroom during the evening—I will often sleep in the guest room with them so they're not alone during the night! We allow ample time for rest and strive to follow their normal schedule (such as meal times, potty breaks, and play activities) as closely as possible. To minimize stress, we rarely schedule multiple dogs at the same time unless they are familiar with each other. We ask owners to bring their dogs own bed if they're using our crate so they have familiar scents.

“I boarded my two ESAs with Star when I went on a week long trip. They're very affectionate and are bonded animals so I was hesitant about leaving them. They were able to board in one suite together, a big plus for me in terms of both costs and the pair of them benefiting from each others' company. Star was very attentive to my explanation of their food and routine and even sent a couple photos and a video while they were there to reassure me they were doing well. I would definitely use this service to board my cats again and would recommend to anyone looking for competent and caring supervision for their pets while they're away.”

Genel G.

“Genel has been so wonderful with my little papillons over the last two years, from puppyhood on. Their breed has some big dog level needs (lots of exercise, and structure, amongst other things) with little dog concerns like having delicate bones, small appetites, and being nervous around bigger dogs. This can lead to a struggle for some caregivers but she handled all their needs with ease and fun. Her dog Chase has helped my boys feel comfortable around bigger dogs too!”
