“Amanda dog sat Mac everyday while we were on vacation. We were told he came home sleepy from how much playtime he had with Amanda’s dogs. I was sent plenty of pictures, videos, and heartwarming messages about Mac during his time at her house. Mac loves Amanda’s house so much that he is excited to arrive and sad to leave!”

“Excellent day care service. Very good people, nice clean home and yard. Animals are very well cared for. Service providers went above and beyond my expectations. Would definitely recommend and use again.”

“She took great care of my puppy , knowing it’s my first time using rover, she sent me lots of picture updates to make me feel assured. Def loved her. So did my dog.”

“Burton had another fun and energy burning day with Sari, Loren, their kids and dog Milo! Burton was so excited to see them again that as soon as he got out of the car, he just bolted straight to their front door with excitement. Will for sure be making this a weekly event! Last time Burton was there, he was pooped for two days. Nice to have a little break after I come from work and Burton has already had his exercise for the day. I mean, I think my dog is adorable and lovable, but can tell this family thinks so too.”

About: I had a black lab for eight wonderful years, caring for her and ensuring her happiness until she passed away a couple of years ago. Since then, I’ve gained experience walking and pet-sitting for friends' pets, providing them with love, attention, and exercise. As a flight student at WMU graduating this fall, I have a flexible schedule with plenty of free time. Balancing my studies and part-time work allows me to dedicate my days to pet care. I’m eager to help others by walking their dogs or pet-sitting, ensuring pets receive the attention and exercise they need while I enjoy spending time with them. I live in an apartment and I don’t own any pets . I’m more than happy to stay at the client’s home or make frequent visits to care for their pets, depending on their preferences. I’ve taken care of friends' pets at their homes without any issues, ensuring they receive the attention and love they need. I pride myself on being trustworthy and responsible, and I'm eager to help with all aspects of dog care.

“I can’t say enough good things about Katy! She took amazing care of my 4-month-old puppy, and even though she’s a bit shy around other dogs, she really warmed up quickly. Her own dogs were incredibly friendly and helped put my pup at ease. After just an hour, Fiona was doing great with them! Her home is so cozy, and it’s clear she creates a loving environment for pets. My puppy had such a great time, and we will definitely be back. Thank you, Katy, for your wonderful care!”

“Stephanie is great! My dog can be a little shy in new situations, but she was so excited to get dropped off each day and came home tired and happy.”

“Kathy accomodated a short notice request with a very early drop off time. Our pup was tired when she got home which tells us she was busy and had fun. We will definitely return to Kathy!”

About: I am an avid dog and cat lover that wants to live vicariously through your pet. I'm a full-time social worker whose career is caring for people in community. However, my passion doesn't stop there. I also love animals! I was born and raised with cats and dogs throughout my whole life. When caring for your dog or cat I treat them with love and care as if they were my own. I love giving lots of ear scratches and belly rubs along with taking them outdoors on walks. I feel better being in the outdoors hiking and if your loved one does too, I'd love to share my passion with them. I love animals of all ages and sizes. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concern you may have about myself. I am working remotely and able to fit any fur baby into my flexible schedule. I have a reliable car that is dog friendly. I’m able to come to you, or pick up your loving pet. I have one fur baby to keep your pet company. I’m employed with the state and have passed all background checks. I will protect your fur baby as if one of my own.

“Natalie is incredibly self-possessed, which creates a sense a calmness around her that Greta reacted to right away. From all the updates she sent, I could tell my girl was relaxed and just being welcomed to be herself. It was clear from the photos provided that Natalie was getting right on her level and that Greta felt secure. I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”

“Always easy leaving Junebug with Elliot and Jenna, she is always happy there. Excellent care! Thank you as always!”

“Sarah was so great with our boy. He came home exhausted and happy! She was so helpful when we were looking for a last minute sitter and sent updates while we were gone. We would definitely book with her again!”

“A dog friendly house and yard ... And a playful friend dog! Our high energy Setter had a great time at her dog play date.”

“Heidi is super friendly and flexible. Her home was very close to downtown KZoo where we were staying. She took cute photos and a video of our dog while we were away. Also her price was very reasonable.”

About: Hello, my name is Kat, and I am an MFA graduate in poetry from the University of Maryland, but I'm originally from the Bay City / Saginaw area. I am a current PhD student in poetry at Western Michigan University where I also teach English Composition 101. I live in/nearby the Vine neighborhood close by downtown with access to neighborhood walking and nearby dog parks. I'm also happy to take your doggy for a field trip to their favorite dog park or nature trail! I often walk up to 4 miles a day, so I look forward to bringing your dog along for some of the adventure! I am available to feed animals, take care of potty business, provide play time, take them to the park, give them love, brush/groom (with instruction if needed), and give medications depending on your dog's temperament (instructions needed). I may be available for additional services depending on the request / depending on the animal. Cats are my favorite animal and as a lifetime owner of cats, I am often able to work with all of their different personalities and love them for it! Here to provide pets, play time, food, and clean up fur balls, and litter boxes, etc. I can help with medications, too, depending on your cat's temperament (instructions needed!) As a grad student, I have pretty flexible hours during the school year, only teaching one class and then taking classes. We can communicate nuances in my schedule when the time comes, but generally, I have room to maneuver. I am available for Meet and Greets: In person Meet and Greets are welcomed and preferred! FaceTime or online meetings are welcomed, too, to discuss specific expectations or specific details about your pet(s) before services. I've owned dogs and cats my entire life and I've always found animals to be a source of comfort. I believe interacting with animals through walks and nurture is a way to repay the comfort and happiness animals give us, and I look forward to creating a bond with your pet(s) that can be beneficial for them both physically and mentally. Thank you for your interest and consideration! I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! -Kat As a grad student who only teaches one class a semester, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule allowing me to spoil your pet with plenty of drop ins, walks, or longer visits. I do, however, have my own cat, so I won't be able to do more than three nights away from my home at a time and I will need to be able to return to my home at some point everyday to take care of her and spend at least 2 hours with her, but I will still have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby! Small dogs are welcome in my home! This fall I teach Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00 am-12:15 pm and have office hours until 1:30 on those days as well. On Wednesdays I have class 6:30-9 pm. My independent studies will create other small nuances in my schedule which may be subject to change, so we can discuss. As a past owner of a skittish, black cat, I'm really good with all cat / animal personalities and have gained patience and intuition in respecting individual animal boundaries and creating trust, and eventually a unique bond. I live on the second floor of an apartment house and have a large balcony for fresh air away from direct traffic and foot-traffic to allow your dog some relaxing outdoor time. I am also an avid walker, often walking 4 miles a day and can guarantee I'll be able to keep your dog under control and engaged.

About: I've cared for all breeds and sizes of cats, dogs and various other creatures in my life since I was a child. I am trauma informed, science backed, and consent based in everything I do. I am force free/fear free. I don’t use any aversives with any animal. I follow the most up to date animal science and firmly believe that through positive reinforcement and giving animals agency to opt in or out of most situations is the best way to be in relationship with them. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2019, and am very passionate about animal care and am excited to get to know you and your fur babes! My first love was a husky mix named Dutchess. I was a rough and tumble three-year-old and she looked like a furry loaf of bread with rolled up newspapers for legs, who never let me out of her sight until the day she crossed over the rainbow bridge. And thus began my love affair with pretty much all animals. Each pet has their own unique personality and style. I adapt to your pet's needs and wants. If they want cuddles, if they want space, if they want to run around in the back yard and play catch or tug-o-war then that is what we are going to do! My aim is to make them and you, happy with the stellar care they are being given. Animals have always been an integral part of my life, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to love and care for them and provide for my own family as well. <3 Animal care and companionship is my life. I work with animals multiple times a day everyday of the week to ensure they get all the enrichment, exercise, attention, and love they want and need. Trusting me with your home and pets is a big deal. Rest assured I will communicate regularly with pictures, videos and text updates throughout our stay together so you can feel at ease with the care of your fur babies.

“This was our first experience using Rover and what a lovely family to leave our puppy with! We felt completely at ease and knew our puppy would have a fabulous day and she did! Brea sent us photo updates and our puppy seemed almost sad to leave...We will definitely use Brea again when needed.”

“Kathryn is wonderful with our dog, cats, and rabbits! She is above all loving and enthusiastic about spending time with our babies. Our dog JoJo is usually very anxious with petsitters but when we return home after Kathryn babysits, she is always calm and happy. We can leave all our babies feeling certain they will be as well cared for as if we were home with them.”

Ryan T K.Star Sitter
“Ryan is a godsend! They watched our elderly labradoodles while we were out of town over Independence Day. As many pet parents know, this is a very scary time for dogs. Add to that a thunderstorm and it would have been very traumatic for our pups if it weren’t for Ryan. We weren’t planning on having Ryan stay overnight but they volunteered to so our pups wouldn’t have to be alone. The fireworks then thunderstorm lasted all night but our girls didn’t have to be alone. ❤️ This meant the world to us. While we were gone Ryan sent video updates, pictures and was available at all hours. Ryan also took the initiative to water plants, take in mail, etc. even though I had completely forgotten to ask. My husband and I both noticed how happy and calm our girls were when we got home. Much more so than they have been when left with other caregivers. Ryan exceeded all expectations and I’ve already booked again for our next vacation!”

“"Pedro is an absolute pet whisperer! My pup was treated like royalty during their stay, and the regular updates with adorable photos were a bonus. Pedro's love, patience, and attention to detail gave me total peace of mind. Trust Pedro with your fur babies - they'll be in good hands!”
