About: I bring a rare mix of professional veterinary experience and full-time, in-home care to every pet I watch. I spent eight years working at Cleveland Park East Animal Hospital, where I managed large boarding groups and assisted with medications, surgeries, and specialized care. That background allows me to confidently care for pets who need medical attention or extra support. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home all day so pets are never left alone and receive constant care and companionship. They also become part of our family, enjoying gentle love and attention from my children. Your pet would truly be part of our family! I am blessed to be a stay at home mother, so I am available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your pet would have constant care and attention from myself. They would also get to enjoy playing around our yard and porch and soak up all the extra cuddles. We have an outdoor cat, and we previously had our loving dog who passed away. We are used to having pets at home! While we do not have a fence, we have a grassy front yard and a large backyard with trees, grass, and even a creek. Our neighborhood boast 17 acres of natural space that include walking trails and a 3 acre pond. Your pet would love getting to go on unleashed walks with us throughout the day to explore all of these areas. As for our home, considering we have pets ourselves, our home is very pet friendly. Our cat prefers to explore outside during the day, but she absolutely loves dogs. Having lived with one for most of her life. We have baby gates to prevent dogs from going to the upstairs portion of our house, which leaves the entire downstairs for play, roaming, and resting.

At one time I employed 11 veterinarian technicians as our popularity quickly grew. I retired from teaching recently and I’m now returning to my true love; caring for pets. I personally own two dogs. I adopted a standard poodle from a breeder two years ago. Sobe loves to snuggle and hike. He adores playing with other dogs. Ellie is a 13 year old Toy Poodle. She and Sobe are best buddies. I am available 7 days a week and can be flexible with times and frequency of visits. As, I have pets at home I CANNOT sleep overnight in client’s homes, but can make extra trips throughout the day and night to meet pet’s needs. Special requests will be considered. I am also available to care for a variety of pets. Safety comes first. (I am fully COVID vaccinated). I also rely heavily on detailed instructions from pet owners. I appreciate clear communication about each client and their pet’s needs in order to serve them best.

As a professional dog walker, I do my utmost to ensure that each dog feels comfortable and at ease with plenty of interaction and attention. It is not uncommon for new surroundings to disrupt a dog's digestive system, resulting in loose stools. However, there is no cause for alarm as this is a normal reaction to a change in routine. Typically, after 1-2 visits, the dog's digestive system will adjust, and any issues will resolve. It is important to note that the level of reaction varies depending on the dog's unique personality and temperament. *WHAT IF MY DOG IS SPECIAL NEEDS?* I am able to care for nearly ALL special needs dogs! 1) Allergies: Please let me know of any beforehand! 2) Medicine: info must be written on a note alongside food, with dosage, etc. (non-medical injections such as insulin is okay. In the state of Virginia, medical/complex injections require specific qualifications/certifications, which I do not have.) 3) Diapers are okay 4) Blind or Deaf? I’ve cared for several blind/deaf dogs and they’re always great! 5) Paralyzed: I have experience with a pitbull who was paralyzed from the waste down due to an incident. I kept up with physical therapy, indoor accidents, cleaning/caring, hand feeding. 5) Something Else? Let me know *HOW WILL MY DOGS BE CARED FOR?* When caring for your pup during visits and stays, their personality is my top priority. I will adjust my activity level according to their specific needs to ensure their safety and comfort. In the case of inclement weather or unfortunate situations that may cause your pup to get dirty, rest assured that I will have a towel or wipes readily available to clean them up. She's sweet as honey and loves everyone, including cats, dogs, and humans of all ages. I can't guarantee she won't lick you to death, but hey, that's just her way of saying hello! I'm pretty strict when it comes to Suki's diet and exercise routine. She gets fed twice a day with a slow feeder to avoid any mishaps, and I make sure to keep her brain active with mentally stimulating games when we're not out and about. Speaking of which, we hit the dog park 3-5 times a week and go on hikes and runs at the lake. Suki's a ball of energy and loves playing fetch, so be prepared to throw that ball a few times! Now, let me be honest with you. It's highly unlikely, but on occasion, Suki might come along for a walk or a drop-in visit and hang out in my car. Don't worry, she's super chill and won't leave any fur behind.
