“This was the second time we have used Meaudre' for pet sitting in Royal Oak, Md. She was amazing again! When we got home, after three days, the animals were like "Oh it's you, so where is our other Mommy who chills with us?" She is prompt, compassionate, follows directions and the animals LOVE her.”

“It was very reassuring to us that Julie was with our dogs while we were out of the country for 10 days. She sent us pictures numerous times each day letting us know our pups were getting excellent care and having a great time. We are always sure the dogs are in great hands when Julie is there to care for them. She is kind, responsible, and is great with our dogs who can sometimes be a handful! We can’t recommend her highly enough if you’re looking for someone to care for your pets.”

About: I have loved dogs my entire life, and grew up taking care of them from a young age. I have attended many dog training classes with my family dog, and understand that every dog has its own personality and needs. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding schedules and administering simple medications, and play time. As a pet sitter I am dependable, responsible, and I pay attention to detail. I will treat your dog as if they are my own. I am currently a college student at Salisbury University so I have one to two classes in the morning and am free throughout the day to go for good walks, play time, and am available to do drop in visits. I also live in a house with a large fenced yard and I offer dog boarding. I provide safe, reliable dog care. I have reliable transportation and lots of available time during to the day to either come let your dog out for a good walk, or I also offer dog boarding at my own home that has no other pets and has a large fenced yard.
“Crystal was a great pup sitter for our pup, Remy. She sent pics everyday and Remy looked so happy. She left our house so clean. We are repeat customers of Crystal. She is the best!”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs. I have nearly two years of experience working as a veterinary assistant, where I cared for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and care needs. This experience taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and making every animal feel as comfortable as possible. I’m also a puppy raiser with Susquehanna Service Dogs, which has given me hands-on experience with puppy training, socialization, positive reinforcement, and reinforcing good manners. I earned my degree in Agricultural Sciences from Penn State, where I further developed my knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and care. I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pets while you’re away. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and provide plenty of walks, playtime, enrichment, attention, and affection based on what they enjoy most. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands. 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to work with pet parents to make sure their pets receive consistent, dependable care. I understand how important routines are for animals, so I do my best to follow your pet’s usual schedule for meals, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and relaxation. I’m also happy to discuss your pet’s individual needs and schedule ahead of time so we can make sure they receive the attention and care they’re used to while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my priorities. My experience as a veterinary assistant has taught me to pay close attention to animal behavior, body language, and changes that could indicate a pet is uncomfortable or not feeling like themselves. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your home and the routines you’ve established for your pets. I carefully follow instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications or special care, household rules, and any safety precautions you provide. I also take the time to let pets become comfortable with me at their own pace, especially those who may be shy or nervous around new people. I know that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision. My goal is to provide responsible, attentive care while keeping you updated so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and in caring hands while you’re away. 🐾
About: Im familiar with giving medication, and providing exceptional care for all animals. I've cared for pets most of my life, and I have 5 years of experience in an animal shelter caring for cats and dogs. It's very rewarding, and it's the best part of my day when I see the happy tails, hear the purring and receiving those kisses. I dont live in Denton, I live in Salisbury. I do travel for my clients,[up to 50 miles] only if youre in need of a sitter for more than 3 days. We can discuss even further during a meet n greet. My full time work is as a gig worker. I make my own schedule, so I am able to care for your pets at any time. I love animals! I provide a safe, and caring environment when I care your pets. I love them like they're my own. Care would be in your home, and I usually stay overnight, unless you would like daily care, then I would come a couple times per day to provide meals, scoop litter boxes, take daily walks, etc.

About: I love any kind of dog and will treat them as my own! I’ve had a dog almost my entire adult life and now greatly miss having one after mine passed away a few years ago. I work part time 10:30-4 Monday thru Friday. I am available before and after those hours. I take several walks a day as I like to stay active, but it is much more fun when there is a pet to accompany you! I have a large fenced in backyard and lots of toys to play with. My neighborhood is very pet friendly, has many sidewalks, and has lots of nice yards to poop in! I also have a park close by that is pet friendly. I will give your pet the love and attention they deserve!
About: I grew up with dogs. My brother has always had big dogs. My mom has always had small dogs. We have a farm in Montana where dogs are a big part of every day life. I have a fairly open schedule and am available most times of the day and night. I do not mind working off hours and could be flexible with most schedules. I currently have a rescue cat named Ru. She is all black and was at the humane society for almost 3 months before coming home to me. I love dogs and have had many different breeds and sizes over the years. I’m hoping that we can fence in our new home so that I can rescue a new dog soon.
“Brooke is a wonderful pet sitter! Amigo is a rescue and had a sad beginning so he is sometimes withdrawn around strangers but he immediately loved Brooke! She is so reliable and shows up on time and lets you know her schedule in advance. She is great with animals and a very sweet person. She is very smart and catches on quickly. Reluctantly highly recommend her because if everyone uses her she might be too busy when we need her next and I definitely want her the next time we need a sitter!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who believes pets deserve their own little staycation while you’re away! Whether it’s a neighborhood walk, some backyard playtime, belly rubs on the couch, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and loved. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to stick to your pet’s normal routine — meals, walks, medications, playtime, and all the extra snuggles they’ll allow. I’ll also send plenty of photo updates, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is being well cared for and getting lots of love while you’re gone. 🐾 My schedule is flexible as my husband is a business owner and I work part-time for him, which gives me plenty of time to work pet care into my day. I’m happy to plan visits, walks, feeding times, and check-ins around your pet’s normal routine whenever possible. Whether you need occasional help, vacation coverage, or regular visits, I’ll do my best to make things easy and stress-free for both you and your pet. 🐾 Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always come first. I’ll carefully follow any instructions you provide for feeding, walks, medications, doors or gates, and anything else that helps your pet feel secure. I’m also very respectful of your home and belongings and will keep you updated with photos and messages, so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and a home just as you left it. 🐾
“Julie was amazing! Our pets were very well care for while we were gone. We came home to a house that was in as good, if not better shape than when we left. She communicated with me any time I requested and in a timely manner. I felt good knowing they were well cared for while we were gone. Oh, she even washed the sheets on the bed she used. Great service for sure!”

“Busara is the best! Maxwell has a great time and is always well cared for! I have no worries when I’m not there because I know Busara is always there to save the day and make sure Maxwell has great company”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
