“a big thanks to Keena for taking care of our dog while we explored St. Louis. She took her for two walks, communicated with photos and videos throughout the day. Our dog came home happy! Would highly recommend if in the St. Louis area!”

About: I have always loved dogs. My husband and I adopted a beagle 5 years ago and we have just loved every minute of it. We go on daily walks, have plenty of toys and dog puzzles. I currently work from home and will have plenty of time to monitor and play with your dogs. My Beagle Tommy is also dog friendly. We go outside frequently and supervise outside playtime. I have a friendly beagle who loves to play hard and nap hard too. We allow dogs on the furniture and work from home. We do not crate dogs even when leaving the home.

“I’m so grateful for Laura and her family. She was incredibly flexible from start to finish, and my dog is completely worn out—in the best way! Laura gave her all the attention I couldn’t, and I couldn’t be more thankful.”

“Nana was a phenomenal sitter! Her dog got along so well with mine and I could tell she was getting lots of attention and playtime because she’d come home and pass out immediately. And I loved the pictures! Would absolutely book with her again.”

“Walter and his wife have been so great with my dog! Kenai loves going over there for the day. They have made Kenai a welcome member in their home and even take him out for walks. They’re also understanding of my changing schedule when it comes to early drop offs and different pickup times. I really appreciate them!”

“First time using Christina’s services. She took her time to explain to me how she cares for the pets she handles. Christina gave me tips on how to handle my my puppy (which was helpful since I am a first time owner). She was patient and loving towards my Sparkey. I trust that Christina will provide and continue to provide quality care for my puppy.”

“This was our first experience using a doggie sitter from Rover but definitely won’t be our last. Brian was wonderful! He was extremely flexible in accommodating our schedule and took such great care of Sparky and Crouton! Loved all the pictures he sent!”

“Chico, my elderly Chihuahua, went to doggie daycare with Amy in Columbia for a couple of hours while I met friends for lunch. Amy has such a wonderful way with animals; you can tell she really loves watching them. She took lots of photos, have Chico lots of attention and even had a pet guestbook for him to sign. Such a cute idea. If you ever need a pet sitter, I highly recommend Amy.”

About: Hello! My name is Medona but I prefer to go by Ruby! I grew up with dogs in my house and pets have become family members. I literally take them out every time I'm out hiking, shopping, picnics, etc. I have experience working with kids and the elderly so I am very patient and responsible. As a person who loves what Utah has to offer, I would love to have a buddy with me to hit the hiking trails. I'm more than willing to work along your regular schedule for your dogs regarding feeding, walk, and medication time too. As a dog owner myself, I get very anxious about how my favorite boy is doing so I usually send daily updates to make sure you have peace of mind. My partner takes care of my dog (Mani) when I'm watching other pets so there would be no interactions with Mani unless you feel comfortable! Contact me with any questions and I look forward to meeting your fur babies! :) I'm currently working a full time job but can come during lunch breaks to check up on them. My weekend starts at noon on Friday.
“TzuYu took great care of my dog! She gave very frequent updates & photos of my dog going on walks and playing with her and her dog. We already booked the next visit.”

“Sarah was amazing with my baby Soup! She is super friendly and very responsive. She took care of Soup like her own and sent lots of pictures and updates, which I really appreciated. I felt completely at ease the whole time. Highly recommend her! 😊”

“My girl Gingersnap is older and shy, she doesn't really take to new people quickly. Candela was sweet and patient with her, and at the end of two days Ginger was totally comfortable in her home and didn't want to leave! Candela was also super flexible and accommodating to our schedule, which was so appreciated. We were able to visit St Louis from out of town and do everything we wanted knowing our little bear was safe and happy. What a relief. Thank you Candela!”

About: So I just love dogs. I have had dogs my whole life and will never not have one. I work from home and am very physically active so my lifestyle works well with dogs as I am around to simply hang out with the dogs or go on long walks if needed! Luckily I work from home as an attorney and am able to provide many walks and attention throughout the day. I also live in an area with a lake and multiple dog parks. I am extremely attentive with any dogs that I take care of. I will provide sitting with care and attention and make sure your dog is safe and taken care of.
“Ursula was fantastic. She communicated very well with us during Marley's stay at her home. We really appreciated her care for our little dog when we were in Tucson for a brief stay.”

About: I am a work from home RN which allows me to be present with your babies and give them all the snuggles, treats, walks and play time they could want. My husband and I both have had dogs all of our lives and feel completely comfortable around all types of breeds. We have two dogs of our own and they are so incredibly loved and cared for. We will give you the peace of mind while you are away that your babies are cared for as you would. Since I am home all day, there's very little time your pup will be left alone. I can provide frequent potty breaks, play time and walks. We live on a peaceful 1.3-acre property and are one of only three houses on a long, quiet dead-end street with virtually no traffic. We have a massive backyard surrounded by nature with endless room for pups to run and play! A quick note on safety: While our large yard is unfenced, your dog's safety is our absolute top priority. If your pup is a wanderer or loves to roam, we are fully prepared to take extra measures—such as using long training lines, continuous supervision, or structured outdoor play—to ensure they get plenty of freedom and exercise without compromising their safety. As the proud owner of two dogs myself, I completely understand the anxiety of leaving your furry family members. I treat every guest like my own and promise to keep your babies safe, happy, and loved in your absence!
“Hallie took care of my doggo one day while it stormed really bad and there were tornado touchdowns close and she was great about keeping me up to date on how he was doing and that they were safe.”

“Shannon was awesome! Kane loved his time with her and she helped me out when my normal sitter was out of town last minute! Will DEFINITELY contact her and let Kane stay more in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 617 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Westview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Westview commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 617 sitters in Westview, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
