About: I’ve owned many types of pets and cared for them according to their needs including exotic animals, senior animals, and disabled animals of all types. Your pet would be no exception and would be my new best friend and thrive under my care. I currently work part time and attend ysu online as a pre law student. That said I have plenty of time on my days off to give your pet amazing care, love, and support. The care my clients will receive will be exemplary and will have 100% of my attention and efforts just like I give my own pets.
“Cara is fantastic! Had a great vibe from her the moment we met. She kept my house neat and clean and my girls (dogs) LOVED her! They were so comfortable with her and happy at home with Cara that they weren’t that excited when I got home from vacation! Hire her—your pets (& house) will be in great hands.”

About: I can feed, walk, and play with your pets, clean litter boxes, provide fresh water, and take care of anything else they may need! I’m also comfortable giving medications and have experience caring for diabetic dogs. I’m happy to provide loving, reliable care and make sure your pets are safe, happy, and well taken care of while you’re away! 🐾❤️ I currently work 4 days/week in the evenings at a barn(4 days/week; 2 hours/day) and I just got a job at Amazon! I can give your animals all the attention and loving they need! I can crate your dog if you need me to. Safety of all animals is my first priority before anything else comes in to play!
About: What sets me apart is the love and attention I give to every pet I care for. I treat every animal like they are my own and take the time to learn their personality, routines, and individual needs. I’m patient, responsible, and always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I also understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets, so I make communication and updates a priority. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident in my care. I’m currently a ysu student commuting from home in the Austintown area. I work in home health care 2-4 times a week. I have lots of free time to care for your pets! I care for every pet as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I follow their normal routine and any specific instructions they provide for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and bedtime. I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of attention, and a clean and comfortable space. I also give pets the time they need to feel comfortable with me and always respect their personality and boundaries. I’ll keep you updated with pictures and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Madison is amazing! She’s watched our dog and house twice now, both times on short notice, and has been wonderful. She’s reliable, responsive, and takes such great care of our pup. We always feel totally comfortable leaving everything in her hands and will definitely book with her again!”

“I was nervous about leaving my furbabies with a stranger but Kori reassured me and kept her word by sending me daily photos (sometimes several) of my dogs and was in constant contact the whole time. The house was as clean as I left it and she even washed her sheets and towels! The next time we go out of time I hope she's available.”

“Paige was an outstanding sitter for Princess, and a very separation anxiety, Panache. She made sure that his food was upstairs under my bed, so that he could access it. It does take her awhile to answer texts from me, but her care of my pets and home was excellent.”

About: Each and every animal that I come in contact with I am respectful and calm! I love every pet like it’s my own. Each dog requires different needs and I am completely understanding and will do what it takes for the animal to be the most comfortable and relaxed it can be. I am grateful for the love animals give me and I hope that I can give them that love back. Animals are part of families and I want to provide that comfort when their families are not around! I have expierence with being around all different animals since I was very young. I have been dog sitting since I was 13 years old. I have the experience you want for your loved family member. I work at a veterinary clinic so I have experience with working with all types of breeds. Being a vet assistant I am able to provide for your pet with the knowledge and confidence it takes to take care of any pet!! I work full time at a vet clinic and love to surround myself with all types of different animals! I find comfortable and peace giving people the option to have someone love their pets as my own when they are away! Any needs that your pet may need I am more than comfortable to provide. About: I work from home, so pets get consistent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I provide a calm, structured home where animals feel safe and included in daily life. I’m attentive to routines, exercise, and individual pet needs, and I treat every pet like family. I also have experience in home care work, which strengthened my responsibility, patience, and reliability. I work from home Saturday through Tuesday, so I’m available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I’m also off Wednesday through Friday, which gives me even more flexibility for drop-ins, walks, or extended care. Because I’m home most of the time, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will get consistent care and companionship. I provide a calm, safe, and loving home environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. I take introductions slowly and make sure all animals feel secure, especially when meeting my dog. I have a sweet Great Pyrenees mix who is gentle, affectionate, and does best with smaller or calm dogs. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. My dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention, and I always follow owner instructions closely to make sure your pet’s routine stays consistent.
“Linzy was great! She truly loved our dog while we were away. She sent frequent updates, with photos and videos of Baxter. She walked him twice (more than we do) and overly communicated when she needed to leave the house for a bit. She was great and we’ll certainly utilize her services in the future!”

About: Pets are family, and they deserve to be treated like family. I have doggy sat for a family friend for 3yrs, Zoe, and Zarley. They go out 4 to 5 times a day, they get treats for going boo boo outside. We run around the apartment and play as much as my bones will let me. I am able to brush the furbabies every day, and multiple times a day if needed. I do talk to them like they can answer me…..😂😂. Animals understand more than we think they do. I love animals so much. I wish I could get one for me. But at this time, I am unable to afford one. I will not get any animal that I know I can’t pay for what they need. I was working up until 09/2025. I got hurt at work, and I’m unable to return. I am available 24/7 now. I have plenty of time to give ALL of my time to furbabies now. I have a full time job working midnights. I get off at 7am, but don’t usually go to sleep till around 10am. I do not work Friday nights. My part time job is just Mon., we’d., and Fri, from 9am to 1pm. I have every other weekend off. I always put fur babies first in my home. I play with them as often as I can. They are allowed on the furniture and bed. No matter what I am doing, I will stop to take them out, or play with them. I DO NOT give for babies ppl food, their little digestive system mite not be able to handle it. If there is something extra that you say they need, and you don’t have, I will buy it for them. I remove any and everything off the floors, so they cannot get in it. If there is a special diet that they have, I will just need written instructions on how to prepare it.
About: I started pet sitting about 10 years ago. Overtime, I have grown my clientele. I enjoy my time with the animals. I watch and loving them.I am open to taking on many jobs. I have good amount of flexibility to my schedule. I am willing to work with families on what they are looking for in a pet sitter. I prefer to watch families pets in their own home when the family is away. I believe that this is best for the animals to be in their own environment.
“Sadie was so amazing if I could give her 6 stars I would. Lots of updates with texts, photos and videos of my pups. Even tidied up my home a little I returned home without a worry in the world. Will book again for future events. Thanks again Sadie ! Barkley and Ada miss you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westhill Heights walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westhill Heights maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westhill Heights choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
