“Wendy is amazing! She knew it was my first time using Rover and my first time needing a sitter for my cat, she made sure I had updates with photos 1-2 times per day! I felt so safe to leave my cat with her and her family. They all treated him like their very own. I would definitely book with Wendy again, I am so beyond happy with my experience!😊😊”

“Brooke was immediatly responsive to our request. She sent us updates, videos and pictures on her own. Her home was safe with baby gates and a fenced yard. She even bought her presents for Christmas. I recommend her and will definitely continue to use her in the future.”

About: Love all animals! Big and small! Love to go on walks and let them have fun and play! I like to take pictures of them as well, and keep you updated along the way! I am self employed so I have a very flexible schedule and can manage my time and make sure I am going to be available when I say I am and be there to attend to the pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, needs, and any special instructions before their stay or visit. I understand that every pet is different and I am willing to accommodate each and every need they may have.
“Shawna is so sweet and very knowledgeable about dogs. My pup had so much fun and met some new friends during his stay. She updated my family with photos and videos of our dog living his best life! He was in great hands and we will be returning to Wonderful Wilderness for all our boarding needs”

“Quincy had a nice time with Donna. She slept in a large crated area and played in her fenced yard. It was a great spot to board our dog when we stayed in a rental house in the area that did not allow dogs.”

“Angela was wonderful. I had no worries about leaving Jeb with her during her our vacation. She messaged me with updates and photos. Jeb seemed to have a great time. We will definitely use Angela in the future when we need a sitter.”

“Our first time ever using Rover and Krystal made this process so easy and was an absolute life saver after last minute needing someone to keep our doggy! She kept us updated on Mav everyday… sent pictures AND videos!! Maverick was very nervous being in a new environment and scared of the bad thunderstorms but Krystal definitely did it all to keep his mind occupied and let him know he was safe… that made us feel so good! Thank you for caring our pup❤️❤️❤️”

“Ryan and his daughter were great. They eased any anxiety about leaving our little lady with anyone other than mama but the communication was top notch. We were confident she was in good hands pretty quickly. Will definitely use again if the need arises!”

“Miss Shirley was a perfect fit for my dog, she took excellent care of her, kept me updated with pictures and texts, and my dog seemed to like her very much, which is comforting to see. Definitely recommend and will for sure book again in the future. Thank you for being great at what you do.”

“Cassy was excellent and able to help with our babies last minute so we could enjoy our time in TN. She was very responsive and always gave updates on the pups. Would highly recommend and book with again.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Experience! Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Megan and her family! We booked Marshall’s stay on the very same day, and from the beginning, Megan was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and attentive. She and her husband took excellent care of Marshall, and it was clear that he was in great hands. He came back happy, relaxed, and perfectly cared for, which meant everything to us! What truly stood out was Megan’s thoughtfulness and flexibility. She even offered to meet us at a more convenient location for pickup, allowing us to save time and enjoy more precious moments with our family during our vacation. That extra effort meant so much to us! Megan and her husband went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I would recommend them a thousand times over! If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely attentive to your pet, look no further. Thank you, Megan and family, for treating Marshall so wonderfully! We would absolutely book with you again!”

Thank you again Elizabeth for taking such good care of my Henry!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Westgate
Shawna was so great with Moose! She was very communicative and sent plenty of photos while I was away. Additionally, she worked to introduce each pup one on one since we weren’t able to do a meet and greet beforehand. She was very attentive and Moose had such a great time playing with his new friends! I’d absolutely recommend Shawna to anyone!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Westgate home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Westgate.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Westgate sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
