“Candace was a phenomenal caregiver to my Bella. She provided daily updates and photos. I wasn't sure how my Bella would interact with her fur babies, but they got along wonderful. I highly recommend her to spoil and care for your pet whenever you are away.”

“Amber and her family were amazing. Communication throughout the stay was great and it was clear our pup was well loved and cared for when we picked him up. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will for sure use her again in the future!”

“We had a positive experience! Kristen took very good care of our baby and was very good with responding to any questions. She’s pleasant and appears attentive to a pet’s needs. Thank you!! We would utilize her again for our pet sitting needs!”

“Joaquin was an amazing pet sitter. Excellent communication, passionate about dogs, and prompt timing. He even offered training on a new leash with Major which enhanced our walks by minimizing our pet from pulling so much. Joaquin and his lovely partner exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend using their services again. In addition he does offer pick up and drop off services along with baths as well. Top tier!!!!!”

“My lab was lucky to stay and be cared for with Kenan and Kayliegh… Jaxx was well cared for and happy when picked up. They weee accommodating for an early am, like 5 am drop off !! Thank you ! i highly recommend them for anyone to use”

“Jessi has been absolutely outstanding and cared for my Nova with such professional enthusiasm. She communicated with me from the moment I dropped Nova off with frequent pictures and texts. It was because of her care and compassion, that made my trip out of town so much easier. I so appreciate you and can’t thank you enough Jessi.”

“Lakonka was theeee best sitter. From the meet and greet to the end of Phoebe’s stay, she was extremely professional, super friendly and easy to communicate with. I received pictures or a video every day which is truly appreciated when I’m away from my baby awhile. I highly recommend Lakonka for your fur baby’s needs. So much so, I’ve already coordinated the next time Phoebe will be in her care :)”

“Dessie took great care of our dogs. She took them to the dog park and sent us updates daily. She also gave us a nice bag of treats, doggie bags, and a nice letter! I could tell my dogs were super happy with their stay and well taken care of”

“Jakiah is the SWEETEST ! This is our second time boarding with her. Prince loves her & he’s overly excited every time to see both her and Dusty. She does great updates with photos and videos. She’s flexible & dependable. Very attentive to details & so professional & friendly . Thank you so much.”

“Stephanie was a great sitter for SamE! She is quick with her communication, accommodating with her schedule, made sure our dogs were comfortable together, and kept me updated during SamE’s stay. I appreciate the care she provided and have already rebooked her.”

“Kacie was absolutely incredible with our dog Brodie! We were in town for our wedding at Bella Collina and she went above and beyond and you can tell she is just super caring of all the dogs she takes care of. We worked out an arrangement where she would bring our dog to our venue for our ceremony and it went sooo smooth! I would 100% recommend her, especially for any others who may be coming in out of town and might not get a meet and greet like we couldn't. Our only regret is that she didn't live closer, as she would definitely have become our go to sitter after this experience.”

“Katie did and excellent job of caring for Gabby. Even though she didn’t feel great she still stepped up and kept Gabby. I enjoyed my vacation much more by knowing Gabby was well taken care of.”

About: I have always loved and cared for animals basically all of my life. I have a chihuahua named Minnie and cat named Blue Kittles, both are very friendly, loving, and full of energy! I love caring for animals while making sure they're happy, healthy, and safe! I graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors in Animal Science in December 2020. Being that I have a lot experience working with dogs, cats, chickens, turkey, cattle, and swine animals it doesn’t matter what kind of animal you may have I know what it takes to keep any animal safe and happy ! As a teacher on summer break, I now have more time to care for my pets daily with walks, feedings, grooming, and extra play and bonding. I provide consistent care by feeding, walking, grooming, and giving attention to pets. In clients' homes, I follow specific instructions to maintain routines and comfort.
About: I’m an active working veterinary assistant with 15 years of experience. I’m looking to pet sit in my home small dogs up to 20-25 lbs. I do have kids, cats, and my personal dogs- everyone gets along 😊 my personal dogs are all crate trained and can be kept separate from your baby if needed. The kids loovve helping take care of any furry creature and are well behaved with them. I am able to bring your dog with me where I work should it be needed. I am home all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday but would willing to look after your furbaby during the week as well. I will only be taking one dog at a time (they will be throughly spoiled while here) I can administer any medications needed and can provide bathing services. I hope to meet you soon! I work full time in a veterinary hospital Tuesday-Friday. I am home all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I care for animals all day, everyday I do have a fenced in yard and my pets are all up to date on vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventions. I can provide specialized care for senior pets or those with medical needs

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Westfield Acres home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Westfield Acres.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Westfield Acres sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
