“We adore Kaleigh! This is her third time watching our dog, Frankie. Frankie had a small foot injury this time around and I was a bit nervous to leave her for a couple days, but Kaleigh did an incredible job caring for her. Her foot looks better than it did when we left thanks to Kaleigh's excellent care.”

“Selena took good care of our dogs! I'm so happy she was available on such short notice since the sitter we had lined up fell through. The pups loved spending time with Selene, as evidenced by the pictures she sent!”

“Josie was very responsive and even sent me updates and photos when her app wasn’t working. She went above and beyond! Would definitely book with her again - my cat seemed happy!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. They have all needed different kinds of needs met during that time. Whether it be a bath, cleaning up an accident, providing medication, taking them on a short walk, I know that I can be helpful to you and your pet. I currently have plenty of time to come play or walk with your animal! Currently I have pretty open availability and if something wouldn't work, I would let the person known in advance. I will not be taking any animals into my home at this time. I have a sun room and a lead area in place if I have a dog over. The outdoor system would only be used if I were there.
About: I grew up with all kinds of pets and have continuined the tradition in my own home. The last few years since becoming a remote worker, I have been pet sitting in clients homes administering simple meds and taking general care of their cats and dogs (often both). Edited: if Rover is not showing your total before booking, let me know and I will send you the total amount! My rates are 38/dog and 27/cat. If my rates are showing differently, it is because rover tags on an extra 20-30%, which is the percent they take from you. This is on top of the 20% they keep from the amount that I collect at the end of my stay. Full transparency is key. If a discount is needed, please send the request and we can work something out! I work remote, so there aren't too many obstacles in the way of scheduling. I typically have plans throughout the week, often around 2-4 hours total, that would take me out of the home. Otherwise, I'll be in the home taking care of your pet. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home, keeping them on their usual schedule. I provide walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of love while respecting your space.
“Abigail did several drop-in visits for me while I was on vacation. She came over to meet my pets a few days before I left. I felt at ease after meeting her and I could tell she was an animal lover. She did a great job following my pets’ routine and was always in time. During my vacation, one of my cats became ill. Abigail notified me right away and sent pictures of my cat’s eye. Abigail offered to take my cat to a vet and also called around to try to get an appt since I’m new to the area. I’m very grateful to Abigail for taking good care of my pets while I was away. I would definitely use her again!”

About: I am a full time healthcare worker who adores any and all kinds of animals. I am open to house visits, boarding or even just basic weekly dog walking. I currently work Monday through Friday 8AM -5PM. My availability outside that work schedule is typically very open! I have blocked out Monday through Fridays, however if you need an evening sitter/walker please shoot me a message! I had a Golden Retriever for 15 years and after her passing I haven't been able to add another addition to my household. However, Rover provides a wonderful service, not only for people who need a pet sitter or little extra help, but for people in my shoes who could use a little extra set of paws in their life occasionally. I have a very active lifestyle including walking on a daily basis and wouldn't mind a furry pal to take with me. I am very open and hope to provide assistance for anything that is needed!

About: I have experience not only with dog care, but also with cats, horses, chickens, rabbits, cows, and other farm animals. I have cared for senior dogs, as well as puppies and pregnant dogs. I have a passion for animal behavior and dog training that I wish to pursue after college! I am currently a college student beginning my Junior year at Indiana State University. I have class in the late morning, continuing into mid afternoon. Other than the few hours I spend in class, I have availability to care for your pets! I can not offer pet care in my home currently because I live on my college campus. I offer pet sitting in your home, where your pets are most comfortable and able to keep their normal daily routines!
About: I have taken care of my own dog since I was very young. I am well versed to signs of agitation or irritability in animals. Being around pets my entire life has allowed me to become more perceptive of how to care for them. I have bathed, walked, and fed many animals in my life. My family and family have relied on me to look after their pets as they know I will take good care of them. I am an animal lover through and through. I am currently a student with a flexible schedule that will allow me plenty of time to care for animals. I am available most weekends and after 2 pm most weekdays. I currently live in a dorm and will not be able to provide services with the animal in my own home. In my clients home, I will do my absolute best to respect the rules provided for the household (in terms of pet care and otherwise).

I take that responsibility seriously by providing dependable care, regular updates, and treating every pet like my own. I'm currently in college full time and work part-time weekends! So I will have plenty of time for your pet care needs! I can come before and during lunch time during weekdays. As well as a couple stops in the evening and on weekends. ! I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I have a fenced in yard, but do not currently offer in home services. That could change later with meet and greets with my own pets, but for now I'm available to come to where your pet knows best! I would love a meet and greet with your fur baby. We can discuss your pets routine in your home and have a plan of care laid out to ease your worries.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Terre Haute
Annie is amazing!! We had something come up and needed a drop in visit. She answered all of our questions (it was our first time using Rover), asked us if we had any preferences, was on time, shared pictures, and updated us. She even played with our puppy! Highly recommend Annie and we will absolutely consider her again for future visits!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
