About: Hi! I’m Samantha – a lifelong animal lover with a soft heart and calm energy. Whether your pet is playful or shy, quirky or cuddly, I meet them right where they are – with love, patience, and care. I’ve raised cats exclusively but I get along with all animals, and I treat them all as family. 🐶🐱 If you're looking for someone gentle, responsible, and tuned into your pet’s needs (and your instructions!), I’m your person. I offer drop-ins, walks, and cozy cuddles – whatever your furry friend needs to feel safe and happy while you’re away. I also offer boarding for one kitty at a time in a quiet, private space, perfect for cats who need peace and calm. They will not interact with my older cat. Let me know how I can help you and your pet feel completely at ease. I can’t wait to meet your little one! 🐾💕 I am self-employed with a flexible schedule. As a single mom, I am responsible for school runs during the week between 8-9am and and 2:30-3:30pm. I can fit pet care before abs after these times 😊 The care I give will depend on the client’s instructions and the pet’s needs. I am very gentle and in tune with animals. I do not force a connection and I let pets come to me. I understand pets need time to get to know someone and I respect their space. But if your pet loves me from the get go and requires a lot of cuddles, I’m happy to oblige. 😊 I offer boarding for one kitty at a time, in a quiet, private space - perfect for cats who need peace and calm, with cosy vertical space, a litter box, food and water, as needed.

“Heather is the best!! She is excellent and communicating, and making sure our pup is happy and well-taken care of. We have used her many times, and will continue to use her again and again!!”

About: I like poetry, sunsets, and long walks on the beach. None of which matters to your pet - except maybe the long walks on the beach. Which would be nice, if I lived near the beach. Note: I have found a wide variation in the amount diligent attention different dogs need. Dogs requiring more attention are more liable to damage furniture, screen doors, etc., and Rover doesn't provide any coverage for that. Rover also doesn't allow sitters to specify different rates based on age/size/breed/etc. (except for a puppy rate). My rates are the minimum I feel comfortable charging for a minimum care dog - I may request a higher rate for certain dogs. I work remotely and am currently in between jobs. I am home in the mornings, then in the late morning/early afternoon I usually head into town, either up into the canyon for a dip in the creek, or to a coffee shop. I always take dogs with me when I go out, and make sure to park in the shade with the windows down if they stay in the car. I have a fenced back patio and no pets of my own. Unfortunately I have had some damage to my property recently, and since Rover does not provide any coverage, I am starting to be more selective about the pets I take on.

“Suzana was awesome!! She was so communicative while we were out of town, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was patient and caring with our dog, Moo, and we knew our dog was in excellent hands! Thank you, Suzana!!”

About: Hey there! I moved from Florida to Arizona in 2025 and loving it! I love furry friends of all kinds! Of course I grew up with dogs and cats, but my adventure really began when my husband and I got our twin dogs six months after we married 18 years ago. They were our kids until they recently passed at 16 and 18 years old. We were absolutely dedicated to make sure they were happy and healthy. Now I would like to build relationships with pet owners, giving you peace of mind knowing your precious pets are in excellent loving hands while you are away. My goal is to be a friend to your special friends, to entertain and comfort them, until you return home. I love spending time with them because it brings so much joy to my heart. I live an active lifestyle. I am housewife with no children or pets so I have a flexible schedule and I am available most anytime. I love having a pet as a companion. We have a beautiful, comfortable 3/2 home in a gated private community next to Oak Creek. There is a grassy park and walking trail right next to the creek where we love to go for relaxation and play. While our yard is nice to play in, it is not fenced. I am also able to come to your home. I love taking dogs for walks everyday. It’s great for their well-being and mine!

Exotic Animals & Wildlife: -Became a licensed falconer at age 20; trapped and trained wild falcons for hunting. -Worked professionally with macaws, parrots, cockatoos, a raven, owls, hawks, eagles, falcons, homing pigeons, and trained rats. -Performed with and trained birds and other animals at Utah Hogle Zoo’s World of Flight bird show. -Owned and cared for freshwater aquariums, hermit crabs, and an axolotl salamander named Gary. Service Dog Training: -Personally trained my Border Collie, Maki, as a certified service dog through a professional 6-month training program under the direct supervision of a certified handler at Ty The Dog Guy. -Received hands-on education in service animal training protocols, behavior management, and handler skills. -Maki now accompanies me as a fully trained service dog, with experience traveling and performing under high-pressure conditions. As a full-time indie author, I can take my work anywhere and have a highly flexible schedule. I teach one class a week at a local Sedona yoga studio and work part-time at a crystal boutique. Outside of those brief commitments, I’m home writing, reading, or happily spending time with animals. If I’m ever away from your home, it won’t be for more than 5–6 hours at a time. For pets that need specialty care—like puppies, senior dogs, or animals with specific routines—I can easily rearrange my day to be fully present and attentive. You let me know your pet’s schedule, and I’ll make it happen. I offer in-home pet sitting to keep your animals comfortable and stress-free in their familiar environment. My care style is attentive and proactive—I follow your pet’s routines for feeding, exercise, playtime, and snuggles while ensuring their space stays safe and clean. I’m excellent at puppy-proofing and making sure curious pets stay out of harm’s way. With over two decades of animal care experience, I’m confident in recognizing early signs of discomfort or distress. I have basic dog first aid knowledge, so I’m prepared to handle minor injuries or emergencies calmly and effectively. My goal is always to give your pets the same love, attention, and structure they’re used to, so they feel secure while you’re away.

“We are very happy to have met and include Alexandra in the care of our dogs and home. She has a calming presence that we all enjoy. Very professional and responsive to requests, texts, etc. Great match for our family!”

About: I have experience growing up on a small horse farm with both large and small rescued animals, and believe wholeheartedly in providing each with individualistic and heart-centered care. I strongly believe each animal is their own spirit and person, and everyone needs something a little different. Feeding, bathing, playing, snuggling, walking, zooming, howling, whatever your lil’ baby needs or wants, we are happy to provide. Photo updates, videos, and zoom chats available and provided with no extra costs 💚 Check in as much or little as you please. I am a remote freelancer and visionary artist - that said, most of my time is free! I'm blessed to live in West Sedona, spending most of my days on the trails or spending time on the patio with my own pup soaking up the sunshine. :) If your schedule is strange, mine probably fits into it! If it's normal, even easier. We can work out whatever works best for you. I am very detail-oriented and like to put myself in my clients’ shoes. If you were sitting my little pup, how would I want him to be treated? These animals are our family and deserve nothing less than exactly what they need (….and sometimes what they want, treats are always available….) I have been vegan for 17 years and believe that we are here in this life experience to care for animals and those who can’t speak for themselves. (No, your dog will not be fed vegan food.) Video, chat, photos, etc. are all readily available and at request with no extra cost added, check in anytime you'd like.

About: I have spent the last 3 years traveling while doing house/pet sits throughout Mexico, Arizona, California, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. My clients have included some high profile gigs in Bel-Air, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, but I have also spent months at a time living off-grid in the Mexican jungle and caring for animals on remote farms. My experience dates back to 1991 when I worked my high school summer vacations on a sheep farm to escape city life. I love ALL animals, and have had a special connection with them, my whole life. Your pets (and babies) will be comfortable with me right away. I have been a mom to birds, rodents, fish, cats, and dogs. I do have some experience with reptiles, as well. I come with many years of hands-on experience with dogs and cats from the puppy/kitten stage through their golden years, so you can rest assured that any special accommodations your fur-baby may need will be met with kindness and compassion. I am particularly fond of, and experienced with Bully Breeds, Golden Retrievers, and Doodles of all varieties. I only provide pet care in the owners home as I’ve found it is a far less stressful experience for the pets and the sitter. It’s all I do, so your pets will get tons of attention and affection. I also do occasional dog walking gigs while I’m staying at your home. Your babies are my babies while you’re away, and your home will be treated with the utmost respect. Confidentiality and privacy are considered paramount, always.

“Samantha has been my go to person to take care of my pets whenever I leave town. She will not only feed my animals (2 cats and a chihuahua) but give them the love and care they need. He was happy to come in and help without a lot of notice which was really surprising and gave me an opportunity I otherwise would have lost.”
