“Murphy got great care with Jennifer and her family. He adjusted quickly. We really appreciated picking Murphy up and him having no anxiety. That is not usually the case. Also so nice to be so close in our country location. Thanks Jennifer, I’m sure Murphy will visit again.”

“It was our first time leaving our pup since we’ve had her. We need a last minute sitter and Oren took her in and did so good with her. We were given so many updates and pictures any time we asked. She even was taken to a dog park to run and play. We will definitely be booking him for our next vacation.”

“Novalee/Brooke G. is a fantastic pet sitter! Our dog stayed with her for a week while I was out of town and he had the BEST TIME at her house! He spent his days romping with her adorable pups, playing inside and outside and sniffing all the smells on their neighborhood walks. Novalee also took him on excursions to various pet-friendly stores and family get togethers - which meant he rarely spent anytime alone. Her level of care is unmatched and we know that anytime our dog is with her, he is loved just like her own. I cannot recommend Novalee more highly!”

“Melissa is really good. Pixie loved her stay her with Melissa. I think Pixie was a little sad leaving her😅 Melissa was amazing with letting us know Pixie was doing and she took great care of her. We used to get pictures regularly.”

About: I have been around dogs and cats for most of my life. In college, I worked at a boarding and training service for dogs. I currently have three of my own, and love being a dog mom. I treat my dogs like they are my children, and I enjoy being around animals all the time! I am a teacher, so during the summer months I have a lot of availability. I am looking to help out those who are busy or work during the summer. I can drop in to let out your pet and play with them for 10-15 minutes. For walking services, I will spend 30 minutes walking, and then play for 10-15 minutes. I have a spacious home and yard, but it is not fenced in. I always go outside with the pets and supervise them. We live in a safe neighborhood. My dogs are friendly and well-socialized; they enjoy being around other animals.
“We could tell that Stella enjoyed her time with Betsy & Gordon and their children. We were very selective in our selected sitters leading up to our European vacation. This was our first out of the country vacation away from Stella. Betsy and Gordon provided us with great communication leading up to the booking, and great communication throughout. Easing my fur momma worries. We hope that Stella will visit again soon!”

“LaTonya was the best. I would definitely use again. My dig is a senior with some hearing problems. I admit, I was nervous leaving him for 2 says, but she sent pictures and nessages to reassure me that my baby would be taken care of. I was able to enjoy my stay-cation. She's awesome”

“We are so happy to have found Angela. Our Miniature Schnauzer puppy loved the wide open yard and all the tender loving care received from her and the family. Angela kepst in touch and sent lots of updates and videos of Howard interacting with her dogs...He was having a blast...so much better than putting him in a Kennel. Angela definitely gets five stars and we will look for her again for our next trip. Dave and Caroline”

“As a fellow Rover dog sitter, I was searching for someone who would give my dog the same care I give to others. I found exactly that with Emily! She messaged me frequently with pictures and updates and was extremely flexible with some time changes we needed to make! We will absolutely use Emily again in the future!”
“Paul and Penny were wonderful caretakers for our dogs. Our dogs felt completely comfortable at their house and were well taken care of. I highly recommend them as sitters and would definitely use their services again!”

About: Dogs are my favorite friends. I take care of them just like they are mine. i love giving them cuddles, kisses and yummy cold treats. Of course, cuddles, food and comfy blankets/beds too! I enjoy training dogs with any kind of cool tricks. I’m currently working at home. I usually walk 3x during the day. Early morning, mid day and evening. Your furry friends will join me on my walks and have 30 mins individual play time x 2 during the day and before bed time. I have a fenced yard and a small friendly dog that will keep your dog active at all times. Water will always be filled up for them to sip on. Sunroom to keep them comfortable at all times when weather permits. When the weather gets too hot/cold, your furry bestie are going to warm up/cool off/play/rest in the basement. they are free to roam inside the house.

I pay close attention to each dog’s routine and personality so they feel safe and cared for. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their West Millgrove home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your West Millgrove.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your West Millgrove sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
