About: Love talking to animals and figuring out their language. Sometimes it’s a way a cat rubs against you or a dog smells your feet love I have weekends open enough I could spend a night w a furry little person or a flexible work week to check in on a loved furry or scaly friend for water food and petting. I am a gardener biker and outdoor person rain or shine so a long walk in a rail trail fits in my schedule When watching my clients chickens outside I checked on their hen house and cleaned it out put in new hay and make sure they got food and water twice a day but at least one free range walk

“Marielle took great care of my little Zuzu! My puppy started the day sad about me leaving her there and by the end she was totally bonded with Marielle! She was also totally tuckered out so she clearly got plenty of exercise.”

“We left our bichon frisée with Eleanor for the afternoon, and we were delighted. She was friendly and warm, and our pooch did well in his brief stay with her. I recommend Eleanor if you need someone to watch your pup.”

“Willow was super tired and had a great time. Kirsten and Mark knew just how to handle our high-anxiety dog. Their property is like Disney Land for dogs! Tons of space and places to explore and run around in safely. Their dogs are super friendly and welcomed Willow into their pack easily. We recommend Kirsten and Mark highly!”

“The sweetest and most gentle dog person ever! I wish I lived closer so I could leave Galileo in her very capable hands all the time. I was passing through and needed someone last minute to sit with my dog for a few hours. Katrina was responsive, kind and extremely communicative. I highly recommend her! Oh, and her little dog is adorable, too!!”

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

“Mazen was awesome! Our dog loved him immediately, and he was prompt, communicative, and kind. He took great care of our dog and she had a fulfilling day. She came home looking content and relaxed - we will definitely book again!”

About: I understand that your furry friend is a beloved member of your family. That's why I'm dedicated to providing top-notch dog-sitting services that prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness :) My goal is simple: to provide pawsitive care, every time. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where your dog can feel at home, even when you're not there. I take the time to get to know your dog and tailor my services to their individual needs. That is why I only take one dog at a time, so there are no competing schedules, preferences, etc. I work from home full-time so I will be at your dog's side for the duration of their stay. Dogs in my care should be able to be left home alone for 1-2 hours -- can be crated or uncrated if not destructive. I have a Furbo pet camera so your dog is never out of my sight. I have an unfenced yard with private walking trail and a nice deck for dogs who like to sun bathe. Any dogs who need to be kept on a leash, that's no problem.

About: Hey there! I've walked and sat dogs (not sat on) on and off for the past 16 years, as part of dog sitting agencies and doggy daycares, for friends and family, as well as for my own dog. Caring for furry creatures is one of the most therapeutic antidotes to city life, and because dogs and other animals put me in such a good heart and head space, I'm always present with them and return the favor. I've cared for very young puppies, as well as elderly dogs and cats with special needs. I also have experience with birds, having owned birds myself. I've administered inhalers for asthma and walked dogs twice my size. I love every animal I come to meet, even those who don't warm up right away. I work from home part-time and set my own schedule, so my weekly availability is very open and flexible. I'd be happy to adjust my plans whenever possible to fit in a walk or a drop-in same day. I care for all pets as I would my own, giving a mix of attention, gentle discipline, and affection in the amounts that each moment calls for. Ensuring that your furry friend feels safe and comfortable in my care, whether they are in my home or their own, is of utmost importance to me. I carry myself with a calm, confident presence when meeting new dogs, to make sure we start our relationship off on the right paw.

About: As a professional, certified dog trainer and k9 handler for the last 20 years I am the premier doggie boarding, sitting, walking and training in the Hudson Valley. Canine communication is our speciality and we love teaching our clients how to speak dog! I love your pet like our own and our clients become part of our family for life! We do not whisper, we translate. Our world revolves around DOGS. I exclusively offer walking, boarding, training, daycare and drop in visits full time. If it isn’t dogs I don’t do it! PS I also will love your kitty or farm animals too! We have a fully fenced in yard, live on 15 acres and have both crates and kennel runs for pups who prefer not to be as social or for in heat or intact dogs. We do have a toddler who is dog savvy and our pack of pups who love to play and entertain. We have a three floor house so plenty of room for those persnickety pups who’d like their space. When we travel to your home we learn their space and their routine to make the best experience!

Jennifer G.
“I was a police canine handler and after a terrible experience with another boarding and animal care provider I began using Jennifer’s services. She was fantastic. Very few pet caregivers can handle a high drive dominant dog. Jennifer handled him with ease. If she can handle the 90 pound fur missile that I had, there is no doubt in my mind she is capable of handling any dog. I highly recommend all of her services.”
