“Lindsay is awesome!!! I was worried I couldn’t find a pet sitter for my rabbits on such a short notice. I scanned Rover and picked her since she is the top rated one in my area. She sent me detailed messages with each visit. I am soooo glad I found her! Will def book her again. My rabbits are sassy princesses and they don’t trust many people, but Lindsay has a way with animals! ❤️❤️”

“Alexandra was great to our two fur babies. She came to meet them in advance and they already seemed to like her. She was able to give one of our cats his medications each time she came, she played with them, and she gave them lots of love. She was also very prompt in her communication and provided lots of pictures each time.”

“Erin house-sat for us when we needed a cat sitter for four days on short notice. She was amazing! Her connection to the kitties and thoughtful, conscientious approach to the care of our beloved companions set my mind at ease. It was clear from our first conversation that she was trustworthy and dependable, which was reassuring since we've never had a house-sitter. We have a senior cat who requires twice-daily medication and Erin handled all his special needs. She communicated clearly, left the house in excellent condition, and is also just a wonderful person all around!”

“Elizabeth took great care of our 3 cats while we were away! She was an excellent communicator throughout the whole process and we felt so at ease. I highly recommend Elizabeth. She was professional, courteous, responsive, and most importantly nurturing and loving to our kitty family and I will definitely have her back in our home again in the future.”

“Venetia was so lovely with our dog who can be difficult with strangers. She was communicative throughout the whole process and flexible with our last minute travel changes. I couldn't ask for a better sitter.”

About: I’ve been a pet owner for 11 years. I work as a vet assistant. I am trained to read an animals body language and look for signs of distress. I am a very patient, caring, compassionate and empathetic individual. I genuinely enjoy meeting and caring for all types of animals, and I look forward to caring for yours! (: I do work full time, but otherwise I have open availability. I am willing to work around my schedule to help meet your needs (: I feed them, clean up after them, give them medication if needed, bathe them, walk them as often as needed. If your animal is on a schedule of any kind, it will be cared for accordingly.

“Simon was very competent, reliable and devoted to the care of our cat, Opie. He stayed in our house for a week caring for our cat. Opie seemed happy and well cared for on our return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon.”

About: Hi there! I’m Gaby, and I’ve been caring for beloved animal friends, including dogs, cats, (and even ducks!) for private clients over the past six years. Whether it’s a daily walk, an overnight stay, or simply some loving company while you’re away, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m reliable, experienced, and passionate about what I do, and I’m now expanding my pet care services through Rover to reach even more furry (and feathered) friends. References from long time clients are happily available upon request. I believe trust is everything when it comes to your pets. Let’s connect! I’d love to meet your companions and be part of their happy, healthy routine. As an artist and student attending Bard College, I structure my days to be present and attentive; qualities that naturally extend to the animal friends I care for. My schedule is flexible in the evenings and on weekends, which means I can accommodate night visits, drop ins, and extended weekend stays with ease. Caring for animals is a grounding and joyful part of my routine. Whether it’s early morning feeds before class, relaxing evening walks, or playful visits on weekends, I prioritize each animals' comfort and happiness as part of my daily flow. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine and trainings as consistent as possible with feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddles all happen on schedule to keep them comfortable and happy. I respect your space, clean up after all visits, and make sure your pet feels calm and safe until you return. When caring for pets in my own home, I create a welcoming, low stress environment with plenty of attention, enrichment, and comfort. Whether in your home or mine, my aim is to communicate clearly with updates and photos so you know your pet is in good hands.

About: Friend to all animals.✨ I have walked and dog-sat two pitbulls (ages: 2 and six months) on a weekly basis since the fall of 2022. My additional clients include mutts, a pug, a belgian shepherd, dobermans, and more, ages ranging 10 weeks - five years. I have stuck with some clients for over a year until their schedules changed or they moved, and with some dogs on a temporary basis. I am intent on working with the owners to adapt to their training methods for their fur-babies and enforcing those gently. Walks are enjoyable for both the dogs and me: I keep it lax and adapt to what they want in that moment. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and fur-babies alike since I was 15, when I would dog-sit and walk for family friends. I’ve had varying dog sitting and cat sitting gigs (both day visits and overnights) since then, some of which included overnight stays. Pet care is great supplemental time with pets and additional income while I full work remotely. I am flexible to work with clients on their schedules/their adorable pets schedules. I am also available some nights and weekends. My top priority besides providing love, fun and stimulation to your pets is their safety: both for their sake and my own. Making sure that we discuss your yard set up especially your fencing, and indoor set up (do you have animal gates/baby gates set up, areas they’re not permitted in), etc. Communication is key and I would love to know what works for your animal: what boundaries are set and what they’re comfortable with.

About: Hi, I'm Marceline! Growing up with a wildlife rehabilitator for a parent, I was surrounded by animals from day one. From bottle-feeding baby raccoons to gently caring for injured birds, I learned early on the patience, empathy, and responsibility that animals deserve. That lifelong passion turned into a career of caring: I spent 4 years at a cat shelter, helping to socialize, medicate and find loving homes for many cats. Beyond that, I've volunteered extensively at Farm sanctuaries and animal shelters, gaining hands-on experience with dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, and more! Whether your pet is playful and energetic or shy and sensitive, I'm dedicated to providing calm, attentive, loving care that meets their unique needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with your animal family. You can count on me to treat your pets like my own - with respect, reliability and plenty of love. Let's connect - I'd love to meet you and your pets! Because I have an open schedule, I'm able to dedicate focused time throughout the day for walks, feedings, play, medication and whatever unique care each pet needs. I plan my day around their routines, not the other way around - whether that means early morning visits, midday potty breaks, evening cuddle time, or sleepovers. I'm used to structuring my day with animals in mind, especially my own cats and hermit crabs. Being attentive to animals' behaviors and needs is second nature to me, and I always make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and consistency throughout the day. When you leave your pet in my care, you're not just hiring someone to feed or walk them - you're trusting me with a member of your family. I take that responsibility seriously. Creating a safe, calm, and loving environment is at the heart of everything I do. I closely follow your pet's routines, dietary needs, and any medical requirements to make sure they stay happy and healthy. Im experienced in handling a wide range or animals - including those with special needs, and I always keep a close eye on behaviot and well-being When I visit your home for your pet, I strive to create a low-stress environment where they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. From cozy resting spots to familiar routines and gentle handling, I make sure your pet feels right at home with me.

About: I’m a retired healthcare worker, mom, Nana to three grandchildren and 4 furry grandbabies. I’ve had many of my own fur babies overs the years but none currently. I’ve been house/pet sitting for the past two years through Trusted Housesitters and have cared for dogs, cats, chickens and even Bearded dragons from the northeast to the west coast and loved all of them! The sits were anywhere from two days to three weeks. I am comfortable with young pets to seniors and have no problem administering medication if needed. So whether you need an hour, a day or a few weeks I’m available. I will care for your pets in your home and will happily do things the way you would when home. Exercise, playtime, walks, snuggles, and sleeping with me if that’s what they’re used to. What makes them makes me happy.

Gabrielle A.
“Gabrielle is truly a gem, the best dog sitter we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She has been caring for our pets since 2019, and from the very beginning, we knew we could trust her completely. She keeps a key to our home and has stayed with our pets during long trips, as well as stopping in for daily visits when our schedules don't allow. Over the years, she formed a deep bond with our two beloved senior dogs, caring for them with such tenderness and dedication as they aged, and eventually through their final chapter. Her compassion during that time meant the world to us. Now, with our new (and very opinionated!) Olde English Bulldog, Gaby continues to show the same level of attentiveness, patience, and love. She’s even been involved in the training process, always consistent and encouraging. We trust Gabrielle completely, not just as a pet sitter, but as someone who treats our animals like family. She’s dependable, kind, and has a natural way with animals that puts both pets and humans at ease. We honestly don’t know what we’d do without her.”

Alexa T.

“Alexa has proven to be a reliable and compassionate walker for our Bernedoodle, Molly. Our dog is very active, and playful, and has been a challenge to train to adapt to our work/life balance. However, Alexa rose to the occasion and has been a rock we can rely on for daily walks, and anytime we go out of town. I don't know what we would do without her. We would trust her with any large dog, as well as any animal.”

Emily M.

“Took super good care of our pet and was able to accommodate us last minute, would definitely recommend!”

Daniel W.
“Marceline took care of my dogs every weekend when my partner and I were long distance. She sent me updates and even made sure they got cuddle time after their walks. I would come home to relaxed and happy pups! I felt peace of mind leaving my boys in her care. As a fellow sitter, I highly recommend hiring her to take care of your animals!”

She was more than happy and willing to have a face time interview prior to the sit. She arrived a day before departure so she could receive our instructions and meet the dogs. While we were gone she sent us pictures, walked the dogs and played ball in our back yard. On returning our dogs were super happy and healthy. The house was immaculate and we were very impressed.
