“We have a farm and Terry did a great job looking over all of our animals (chickens, pigs, cats, dogs, horses). He went above what we asked and even vacuumed and cleaned the litterboxes for our return. He successfully gave meds to our temperamental chihuahua as well and kept us thoroughly updated on how she was doing.”

“Tiffany did an amazing job taking care of our three girls for 9 days! She spent extra time with them during drop ins because it was a longer trip which was greatly appreciated by us and the dogs!”

About: (I Speak English & Spanish) I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have years of experience caring for pets belonging to friends and family as well. From walks, feeding, and bathing to bottle-feeding puppies, I truly love and care for pets of all ages. We have a fenced yard where your pup can safely run and play while always being supervised. I’d also love to take your fur baby on walks around our 20-acre property - we can walk down to the barn, explore the land, and enjoy plenty of fresh air and exercise together. I’m currently a student at the University of Kentucky, and I schedule all of my classes on just two days a week, so I’m home most of the time. My husband also works from home, which means your pet will always have company and will never be left alone. During your pet’s stay, I’ll send plenty of pictures and videos so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I’ve also completed dog training classes and would be happy to practice basic commands or even teach your pup a few fun tricks! My schedule is very flexible, so whether you need care planned in advance or last-minute help, I’m here for you and your fur baby. 😃 I’m currently a student at the University of Kentucky and attend classes only twice a week. My husband works from home, so there is always someone at home. Because of that, we’ll have plenty of time and attention to give your pups, making sure they’re well cared for, played with, and loved while they’re with us. I have a fenced in yard, and they will never be without supervision. I have a friendly Golden Retriever to keep you fur baby company as well. I also have crates, so if needed or if you would prefer, the crates are accessible. If you have a pet in heat, and you need to go out for a while, no worries just let me know and I can accommodate to make sure your fur baby has fun and is also kept safe.

“We are beyond thankful for Emily, taking care of our cat and dog for an extended holiday weekend! She was great with communication, updates, and was flexible with some additional sudden needs when our dog was sick right before Emily was scheduled to take care of her. She was great with administering all medications. We will definitely being using her again soon!!”

About: We work from home full-time, which means your pup will get lots of supervision, attention, companionship, and cuddles throughout the day instead of being left alone for long periods. Dogs staying with us typically get up to two walks a day, usually 1–2.5 mile walks at nearby trails. If your pup enjoys walks and adventures, they’re welcome to join! We also make sure dogs have plenty of supervised playtime, enrichment, rest, and individualized attention depending on their personality and energy level. We genuinely love pets and try to make them feel like part of the family while they’re here. Whether your dog is playful, cuddly, shy, energetic, or prefers a calmer environment, we do our best to adapt to their needs and routine. We're also happy to provide regular updates, photos, and videos so you can feel comfortable while you’re away. We know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and we aim to create a safe, loving environment where both you and your pup feel comfortable. I have a flexible schedule to give your pets the love and attention they deserve! About: With your pets permission, they will be loved on. Pets in my care will be treated like family. I have been around pets of all kinds my whole life and have pet sat for over 5 years! The only days of the week where I’m out for more than 3 hours is Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am at home otherwise, the more time I have with your pet, the better! I do have two cats, so they will likely be separated from your pets in a boarding situation, but I live next to a dog park so it is easily accessible for pups. I have many cat toys and treat varieties as well.
“Misty was great and Luna was safe and secure, happy and healthy when I arrived home. Finding a dog sitter on Memorial Day seemed like an impossible request so imagine my surprise when she accepted, arrived and did a great job. I highly recommend her!”

“Eric was great! He took great care of our snuggly beagle and our home. Chester was at ease with Eric and we could tell that he got all the treats and affection to which he is deservedly entitled. We will definitely ask Eric to sit for us again on our next trip.”

About: I have always had dogs and cats in my life. I have cared for senior animals when it got more difficult and puppies that needed round-the-clock care. I’ve also been trusted by family, neighbors, and friends to care for their homes and pets while they were away. I’m a recent college grad and have not yet found employment, so my schedule is wide open! I will be available Monday through Sunday at all hours. I do not offer boarding in my home, however I can supervise multiple dogs at once, walk dogs, follow specific feeding instructions, and respect the boundaries of your cat. I can also work with security systems and keep your home safe and neat.
West Irvine pet parents share their Rover experiences
We are very grateful for meeting TJ. This was our first experience with trusting another with sole care of our dog (family member). Upon meeting TJ, we immediately sensed a kindness, sincerity and trust in his voice while he offered insight about himself and his attitude toward pet care. He listened intently to how we take care of our pet asking questions to make sure he understood our concerns and routines. While away, he kept our communication open all hours of the day; elevating our comfort level. Confidently, we can say TJ was a great choice. We would hire him again and suggest anyone looking for quality care of their pet, to give TJ an honest consideration. You will not be disappointed.
