About: I’ve been a dog mom to a puggle and beagle for over 20 years. With that, I have experience with high energy and sneaky personalities! As both babies entered their senior years, I was responsible in caring for their medical needs. My sweet daughter, Ruby (the beagle in picture), recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and my home and soul has not been the same. I am not ready to fill the void with my own fur baby as of yet, but ready to share my love to others. I work remotely as a social worker 5 days a week, so your baby would have plenty of attention. I have my own car and can drive for any emergencies that may arise. Please note that I will respond to messages that are received between 9AM-10PM. I make every effort to respond within 30 minutes. However, if you do not hear from me immediately, please allow me the time to reply as I will never ignore a message. I work remotely from home, so I am flexible with caring for your fur baby in my home. With walks, I am available in the afternoon and evenings with advance notice. Important 📝: Upon booking, I will ask for a meet and greet at a neutral spot. This can be at a dog friendly cafe, a park, and/or the front and then backyard at my home to reduce any stress. For privacy and safety reasons, there will be a limited (only view certain areas) in-home tour until the booking has been finalized. I have a fenced yard if your fur baby likes to run around off leash. I would also take them on walks and/or play with them according to preferences. I have no children or other fur babies in the home but if your baby is open to children, I have two nieces and a nephew who loves dogs that are willing to share their affection! Larger Dogs: I am open and available for daycare and boarding if they are leash and recall trained. Please message me and we can further discuss if we would be a good fit!
About: I love spending time with dogs, I prioritize going above and beyond to ensure your fur baby feels comfortable and loved while you’re away. I provide frequent updates with photos and videos throughout the day to keep you informed about your pet’s activities and well-being. I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available for boarding and/or for just a fun day care at anytime. I maintain a flexible schedule to maintain your pet’s needs. With a fenced in yard, I can provide regular exercise to help your pet stay fit, strong and keep those tails wagging. In my home your pet will have a safe and cozy place to stay.

I am very responsible and will be very prompt in getting back to you with any photos or inquiries you may have. We have over an acre of fenced yard and a huge home with lots of comfy couches. I'd love to play with your dog and take him or her on walks too. Your pet will even have his or her own room to sleep while you are away too, if you'd like. I promise to do everything I can to make your dog feel comfortable. Any questions, please ask. Thank you very much! I mostly work from home and am present - though sometime away due to my kids activities . If I'm away , doggies are safely indoor . One acre of fenced yard that provides a lot of excercise and fun playing. Water is provided both in and outdoors . Doggies are cared for as my children

“Dan and Denise went above and beyond for our pup Harper. My husband and I are new to Long Island and I was so apprehensive to leave her but after my meet and greet with Dan and Denise I knew it was a good fit. They are communicative, trustworthy, and extremely empathetic towards your dogs needs. We had a great experience and will be using them for future services.”

About: I genuinely love all animals. I provide top-notch care for every animal I am responsible for, thanks to my experience with various breeds of dogs, cats, small animals, and even farm animals. I work part time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the week. I make time for walks, play, and all the attention your pet needs. I’m happy to work pet care into my daily routine and make sure your pets feel safe and loved while you’re away. I've looked after dogs and cats in the past, caring for them as if they were my own. I'll certainly provide the same level of care and affection for your pets. My own animals are pampered due to the immense love I shower upon them.
“Sarah and her lovely family took care of our little Yorkie for five days while my husband and I were visiting in New York City. We were staying out on Long Island, and had event tickets each day in the city, so we needed flexible doggie day care hours to accommodate our needs. We felt so very blessed to find Sarah! She welcomed Violet into her home and treated her like family. She is very well equipped to care for any pets and has plenty of equipment and facilities thoughtfully laid out in her home and yard. She has thought of everything her guests could possible need! She kept us very well informed throughout the visit so I didn’t have to worry and wonder about our baby one bit. She obviously loves animals and treated our sweet girl like her very own. Violet was so happy to get there each day and loved playing with all the people and pets in Sarah’s household. I have only ever used day care services on Rover and really couldn’t imagine boarding our fur baby with someone other than a family member, but I wouldn’t hesitate to leave her at Sarah’s! I know I would get professional care, steady communication, and the most loving environment! I cannot recommend her more highly!”

“My two German Shepherds, Snow and Magnum returned today from a two day stay with Loraine B. and her lovely family. My dogs do not always easily adjust to new surroundings. This time that was not the case. Both Snow and Magnum settled right in to Loraine's home and they were very comfortable with her attentive care. Don't think twice if you are looking for a loving place for your pets... they are in good hands with Loraine and her family. Just make sure to leave room for Snow and Magnum as they will be back with Loraine when next we need to be away. Thank you very much for the wonderful care!!”

“Heeyoung is a loving and knowledgeable caregiver. She takes time to establish her in-depth understanding of each dog. Her calming nature also helped me when leaving my babies for the first time😊🙏🏼”

“Our dog loved his stay at Ginia’s! He came home tired from a day full of running and playing! With easy drop off/ pick up and updates throughout the day this was a great day not only for our dog but us too.”

“Alissa is super nice and down to earth. We met with her for a meet and greet and my dog was comfortable with her and her home right away. She has two super sweet dogs of her own and her home is beautiful and cozy. She is quick to respond and has proven to be reliable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend her!”

“Cindy is always reliable, and we really appreciate her picture/video updates! She takes great care of our Chester, and he loves going to her house. She makes him feel comfortable, and we appreciate the care she provides to our beloved fur baby.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
